Minelab Manticore Digging Examples (Dig or No Dig Scenarios)

- At the request of one of my Patreon members I put this video together of a recent hunt where I'll show you why or why I won't dig certain targets. This is all based on sound (some of the examples do not have sound due to road noise) and the 2D paint. There are no spectacular finds in this video. These are just digging examples and what you might expect when you come across something similar. Warning: These scenarios are based on my digging conditions and my not accurately reflect your soil types. I hope this helps.

I admit my frustration level with the Manticore hitting rusty nails is running very high. They paint on the line no red and almost no bounce. I got the Manticore to lower the up and downs of digging. The opposite is true. I have never dug that many nails before.
Sounds like you need to learn your machine. I can help for a price. 😉
Yessir- I'm sticking w/ the Old School Nox 800. Prefer the 40 target ID's & less-is-more approach.
You have to take into account 3 factors: Sound, rotate 90 degrees (listen again), numbers, and finally the 2D. The nails will sound off if you are running at 2-3 and the filter on. But you have to turn on the targets. The numbers will tend to jump around a lot too. Make sure you are doing a proper ground balance too. I get fooled sometimes, but I'm pretty confident when its iron or junk in the hole.

Is the M9 worth getting if you already have the M8?
I think they both have a purpose but I'm really enjoying the M9.
Does the new stabilizer setting help with nail falsing?
I think it does.
