oh, old oil is so stinky!! Well, that wasn't nearly as bad as what I invisioned. I thought you hid a sandbar and when flying out of the boat! Or a hill side bottle dump burried you. The Chevy emblem looks like one mounted on the grill. Yeah, google had some images for that brand of beer and their bottle openers and they were really odd looking. And you even found a critter!
...try soaking your clothes in a solution of Cascade Dish Washing Detergent. That stuff works really great!!! I use it for a lot of cleaning. I use it to clean and reclaim microscope slides; wash the car; it rinses, drains, dries clean and clear with no water spots. I use it for a 'pre-soak' for tough to clean clothes, towels, utility cleaning rags; I'm always amazed at how clean it gets them!!!!...
One jackass throwing an oil filter into the stream caused all this havoc. WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THAT!!!!!! Spark plugs?? Whatever, and I don't even understand why every stream in America is littered with spark plugs, but an OIL FILTER??? What a mess. Gasoline will get that off, but who wants to coat themselves with gasoline. Naphtha maybe, but I would not want to coast myself in that either.
The things we do for fans 🤣 My wife and I absolutely love your videos. Sadly, we have binged them all and have to wait for your new videos drop to get our fix. Excellent work Sir! Thank you for your time
Chigg, I'm sure you know the story about all the US silver reserve being used to make wire and tubing for the Manhattan Project. But the economy was pumping and we had to have coinage. So the silver mines operated at full capacity. Yes, WW2 silver is very special.
You'll like this Beau. i was a mechanic . We ha a mobile drain trolley for draining oil. It has a basin on a tube with a one way valve in the bottom It has an inlet for the airline which normally has an adjustable pressure valve to drop the airline pressure down to 5 psi from a 120 psi and another drain hose to drain the oil into the waste oil tank. It uses the 5psi to drain the tank into the waste oil tank. What you do is open the valve on the drain hose and then open the other valve on the airline to pressurise and drain the tank. Some bastard took the pressure regulator off the drain tank to use elsewhere and didn't put it back So... Im talking to my boss and listening carefully to what he was saying and plugged the airline in with out the pressure regulator in line and wore the contents as it over came the one way valve in the bowl and i wore it all of the used engine oil at 120 psi. Not one of my best days . Nearly as bad as you encounter with the poison ivy while cutting your neighbours trees. LOL My day included a trip to the hospital to get my eyes flushed out. I didn't do that a second time. what a mess.
Good days can turn bad , and that oil situation was bad , but worse things could happen , When I first saw your face the other day I thought to myself Chigg fell face first into something , I'm glad that wasn't what happened, thanks for telling us what took place , either way I'm glad you were okay, Thanks Chigg.
My first thought was OH NO!! What happened this time!. Then I thought,, Wow, he looks like Batman's Joker! Sorry for what you went through. Not fun but you did find some great stuff.. And you shared your bad and kept it real as you always do.
It's every time a pleasure to look while you digging up cool stuff from the bottom of the river, and hey you look great after put some oil with history in your face ! Greets from Germany & keep up !
What a mess. Sad to see all the rivers edge dumps. You have to wonder what people were thinking back then to just dump everything in rivers abd streams. Guess they weren't. Loved watching the cat walk back and forth on the porch rail. This would of been a great video to insert linda blairs exorcist photo in while our eyes were glued on the creek bed looking for treasures. Have a good one.
😮 oh dear! Looks like up you dug up part of an engine too there! Can see a spark plug I think! My hubby and I are really missing River Hunters here in the UK. Love that show! Missing Gary too 😊
My brother lives near Falls Creek PA. And people for years after the company closed doors would go out there and dig there dump looking for stuff with flaws that was thrown out in there dump. We’ve drive by it dozens of times when I’d go over to visit. He’d always tell me about there China! He has whole sets he bought over the years. Hey Chigg Dawn dish soap works great for removing grease from you and your clothes! But I suggest finding someone with garage shop rag washer for the first run cause you don’t want to use your washer at home! Leaves them a mess usually!! Great video!!
Some days you’re the dog, some days your the hydrant. Today you looked like the dog who chased a parked car. I’m glad you’re ok ish. Great content as usual 😊
At least it wasn't what i was thinking when i seen thw short video the other day. I was thinking you might have fallen into a septic tank or had a bad ordel digging into an old outhouse. Always entertaining Chigg!
"WD 40 It''s how the Chigg keeps a fresh face all day long" I think the beer thing was a church key.. Take care Buddy and glad you don't seem any worse for the wear.
You reminded me of one of the critters from the Exxon Valdez disaster in 1989. I believe they used Dawn dish soap to clean up the oily otters 🦦 and birds 🦅.
Well, the little fish didn't mind the oil. When you were home it was neat to see the cats walking back and forth in the window reflection. Until the next adventure, Chears now it's time for an adult beverage.
Hey Chigg, I didn't see in the comments if this got answered here or on Facebook but ya the brass Old German Beer is an old bottle opener. Found this: Vintage 1930s Advertisement Bottle Opener The Original Old German Beer These are called slider bottle openers made in the 1930s just after the Prohibition Era and has the advertisement for the “The Original Old German Beer” the German Brewing Co. Cumberland, MD. Made from brass sheath with steel slide out opener.
Blue Dawn dish liquid works great getting oil and grease off. My grandfather always used it. You should put a bottle in your boat in case of emergency.
Maybe it's time to spend a little more time at home amoungst your treasures? I'm working on some conservative conservation work on an 1864 Union light cavalry sabre...maybe you could do something like this for awhile? Curious as to your swords & sabres collection, would love to see them sometime! Take care, Beau...
WOW not what I was expecting. From the finds looks like it wasn't just a dump but maybe a wrecking yard as well. Hope there was a way to report the oil even if it was only a small amount as it continues to pollute
The Old German beer item is a bottle opener. Brass body with a steel opener carried within. You would slide out out the opener from within the brass body using a button on top. Quite collectible in better condition. Still a great find..
Holy cow, you looked like Mike Tyson got a hold of you Chigg. Glad you are ok. Could you taste what weight or brand of oil it was? 😮 I couldn’t believe how all of those minnows would just hang out by you. Great way to get bait. 👍 Thanks for another fine video.
Lol! I thought at first you looked like some photos of sailors fished out of the water after the Pearl Harbor attack. It was fuel oil they were covered with, but it looked the same on video.
Hope it wasn't an artillery shell.. I'm chuckling at this comment, but it looks serious to get you out of your normal comfort zone presentation. Stay safe!
Oh boy, I think I am losing it. What a mess. But at least I found some cool stuff! (quietly sobbing)

@skyblue_studios2991
Truth. The old days of waiting for the next episode of our favorite tv shows to drop
That Chevrolet emblem at 12:47 is from the 1920s / 30s and would be soldered to the radiator shroud, nice find.
I'd love to have that thing.
@@Longbow-jt8jp we all would

Glad you are ok. Thanks for the video!
Man, I've been waiting on this one. RACOON CHIIIG!
I think you’ll find that cup was commonly used in diners in the 50s and early 60s. And, try to stay safe. Love your videos.
I was so worried after seeing the short, thought maybe your engine had blown!!! Glad you're okay, but also YUCK!
Poor Chigg
That's the first time I've ever seen a squirrel swim! My sister took a picture of a turkey swimming!! Quite unique, too!!

🤣
Well Chig, sometimes there's a cost to recovering the spOILS of yesterday! lol!
I’ve been waiting to see the full video on this. Glad you’re ok.
I think your Chevrolet bowtie emblem is quite rare. Nice find...
Chigg: "let me just snorkel into a 1950s dump"
My first thought was OH NO!! What happened this time!. Then I thought,, Wow, he looks like Batman's Joker!
Sorry for what you went through. Not fun but you did find some great stuff.. And you shared your bad and kept it real as you always do.
The "Chevrolet" item appears to be a plate mounted on the sides of mid-1930's to pre-WWll Chevrolet trucks.
Thanks for the info!
It's every time a pleasure to look while you digging up cool stuff from the bottom of the river, and hey you look great after put some oil with history in your face !

Hello Chigg, I must apologize, when I saw you I had to laugh. Look forward to watching your future programs. Take care and stay safe 👍
No worries, I laughed too!
1955 cent look Chigg may be a double dye.. as lucky as you are:)

Been waiting for this video since I saw your lovely mug in that condition on Instagram....
Hey Chigg,
If I’m not mistaken, the Chevy emblem is from the chrome radiator bezel! Teen’s to 20’s and or 30’s.
Glad your OK.
You looked like Giuliani when his hair dye was running down his face at the press conference, except it was your eyebrows that were running.
Now that we know you're OK...you're finds are pretty good and you look good too 👋👍😁🐿
Great Video!!!!
Hope you get better. Thank you for your time.
Thanks for the update. You found some good stuff. ❤LL
Aloha Chigg, Looks like petrified wood to the left of your hand 5:29ff, you banged the bolt on it! Old dump site. You clean up good! Mahalo!

Chigg you look like you went 12 rounds with Mike Tyson lollllllllllllllll
I shouldn't laugh, but that was funny. Enjoyed the video 👌🏻
The pollution levels in this river are disconcerting.
I dug a bowtie identical to that accept in very good condition in a front yard in Carterville MO about three years ago . Very cool to see here !
Oh well... Oils well that ends well! Thanks Chigg. We will press on. LOL!!

Happy to know it was oil, Chigg, it looked like you went a couple of rounds with Rocky! Thank you, glad you're ok!!!

Hey river Tammy Faye!😂
The only thing missing was the tears.🤣😂
Chigg , your way too funny you remind me too much of myself if something horrible is going to happen , it would happen to me.
Dawn blue soap is my go to for grease and oil.
Look at all the little fishies, Chigg is feeding by stirring up organic material. Happy lil fishies. lol

I'm glad you're okay as well.😉
Watching from Athens, Georgia. Oil slick Chig.
You poor man!! Break out the dawn Dish soap!!! 😂
As you found the spark plugs, the oil filter, and the name badge, perhaps the rest of the Chevy is in there!?
I thought your face was full of bruises from a jet boat accident at first
Oils well that ends well chigg …..love from Ireland…..
Dang Chig, that thumbnail made me think the zombies got you😂
Thanks Chigg
Imagine what that squirrel was thinking....
The Original Old German Beer item you found is a 1930s advertisement slider bottle opener for Old German Beer in Pittsburgh
You looked like a sniper. Found some cool things glad the fish were still ok.
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
6:27 ohh that was satisfying.
I think a travel size bottle of dawn dish soap just became a new item to always have in the boardroom/bag. 😅
I hope that you are alright chigg. That stuff looked nasty. 👀😬💝
Good show.
You'll be fine Beau, it's the hydraulic fluid that's not so good but a bit of Texas tea won't hurt.

Sucks about the oil mishap, the air bubbles from the bottle was so satisfying to hear, other than that it looks like a great way to spend a hot day.
Glad you are ok. I thought that maybe you found one of your elusive artillery shells and it went off on you. 😮
The Chevrolet badge probably went on a front grill covering a radiator.
Holy cow, you looked like Mike Tyson got a hold of you Chigg.

what a dumpsite ❤
Might need to start carrying a little bottle of dawn dish soap with you in the truck for those water hunts
That was the quite the spill of oil, chigg
Dawn dish washing liquid works great cutting through oil and grease on skin...
