My Gods.....if this doesn't illustrate just how incredible a guitarist Nancy Wilson is, nothing will. Such a beautiful and moving tribute. Brought tears to my eyes.
Had the pleasure of growing up in Seattle during Heart's 80's heyday. Nancy sings like an angel and plays the acoustic guitar like the devil. She might be the most underrated musician in history.
I've known Nancy & Ann for so many yrs, being raised in Washington State since 1970 I met them in 1976 in a local Seattle Bar well actually outside of the Bar at the ripe age of 15 wow 2 this day with many tours seen the 2 of them are my all time Favorites...Nancy such a 1st Class person ...😊
Eddie would have loved this song. The tones of the chords had elements of Eddie’s compositions (i.e. Little Guitars intro from the Diver Down album). Beautiful song and tribute to Eddie by Nancy. She is definitely an amazing guiatarist in her own right!
Nancy Wilson has been one of my favorite guitar players for almost fifty years!! I don't believe there is anything she can't do guitar wise. This is a great tribute to Eddie Van Halen and to Nancy herself!! You go girl!! Keep rocking!!
She is such a great guitarist and a Seattle icon. Her and Ann belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for sure. In my book they define the Seattle sound and are the top female artists in the world. Seattle is and will always be my home. Thank you Ann and Nancy and past members of Heart. Much love to you……….❤
Me too, I would get invited to the final rehearsal before a tour @ Zoetrope studios back in the 80s . Eddie and Michael were super friendly,David was David but Alex was socially distant.
Watching these musicians that I grew up to listening to are getting so old. It makes me feel old. Makes me miss those days even more. When we had real musicians playing real music and not some computer-generated crap.
Yea-Nothing is EVOLVING. It's DEVOLVING. I get so frustrated when people argue with me and say computers make everything better. Look at puppet YODA then look at computer YODA. The end.
Wow! I was fourtunate enough to see VH perform before Eddie's cancer came back the last time, and he was so happy to be on stage with his brother and son. (Wolf was on bass) I'll never forget it! I sincerely hope I get to see Heart play at least once!
I often wonder what if the two sisters had went in the studio with the two brothers, what would've come of their work.... We'll never know. But this clip has made Nancy Wilson even more of a jewel in my eyes as if she could get any higher!!! I've loved this woman since she kicked that leg up in '85 in that "what above love" video (didn't see the midnight special performance till much later in hindsight). I'm still waiting on her to pluck my string!!! ❤🔥🎉😀
I will always remember that Kick Azz Soundtrack for " The Wild Life " 1984 Movie EVH Composed for nothing for Nancy's then Husband Cameron Crowe . She was in the Movie too . We the public wouldn't have gotten some of the main Actors in " Back to the Future " without that Movie being a Modest Hit .
There is something very powerful in music that can’t be defined. It reaches into you heart. Some feel it more than others, but I believe that EVERYONE feels it. You don’t have to learn to like it. You just do. It’s why a baby will dance without ever learning how. Well Done Nancy. Classy all the way through. 😊
Thank you Nancy!! Was awesome hearing you guys on Stern.. I am 47 now but one of my earliest music memories is Barracuda and your live cover of Rock N’ Roll…back in my parents van..on 8 track lol! Could not have been more than 4 or 5 years old. Should be thanking my parents for bringing me up properly as well 😜
He was the best. This was beautiful the first time I heard it and hearing her tell the story again and listening to it, now, it is AS special as the first time I heard it, just now. It made me cry!! I think this is so special!!! Thank you for posting this and Nancy for playing it!!!
I remember this lady when I worked at captain hooks fish n chips. I was taking a order down town when she pulled up beside me in a corvette. She was laughing at my Captain Hook hat. 😂
Much respect to Nancy for showing great class in honoring Eddie. Even more reasons to love her!
My Gods.....if this doesn't illustrate just how incredible a guitarist Nancy Wilson is, nothing will. Such a beautiful and moving tribute. Brought tears to my eyes.
Mine too
The acoustic intro to "Crazy On You" definitely established that back in the 70s!
Same
She waa great in "Fast times" too
@@mccloysong that's not what Edward or Nancy is playing!!!

I met them in Saratoga NY ( I think '76 also) I sooooo agree with you!
From what I've seen over the years here and in the media they both seem really grounded and totally unpretentious.
Nancy is a genius guitar player. This is fine example of that.Eddie Van Halen the legend will always be mentioned with the great talents of rock.
EV gave his soul to Rock and Roll.
Beautiful tribute to Eddie.
Eddie Van Halen Always Loved, Never Forgotten, Forever Miissed.
EXTREMELY WELL SAID!! 😭💔🥀👍💯♥️♥️♥️🎸🤘
@@da_blade5040 Thank You.
I can almost see Eddie looking down with that smile that crooked little smile has that he always had. I hope he knows how much we all miss him.
Parts of this are evocative of 316 and Jump in a way. Beautiful piece of music...
Yes I was thinking that the song he must have played for her was 316.
She really embellished on it!
😊❤️🎸
Yep
Nancy Wilson is the best female guitarist ever an for her to right a song for Edward brought tears to my eyes thanks Nancy

And I heard the Dance the Night Away riff in a lower key
And the intro to.. Women In Love.

How AWESOME IS THIS WOMAN a lot!!!

Sounds just like Eddie. Beautiful.
Love the Eddie’isms on it… Would love to hear this on one her electrics… 👌🏽
I met Eddie, a beautiful soul. He truly had a GIFT from GOD!
Me too, I would get invited to the final rehearsal before a tour @ Zoetrope studios back in the 80s . Eddie and Michael were super friendly,David was David but Alex was socially distant.
Definitely captured the spirit of Eddie in this song. Love❤
Thoughtful and creative tribute. ❤ Nancy Wilson ....🌺🌺
I miss Eddie so much, he gave so much of himself through his music
A real heartfelt loss
Thankfully we still have his music to live out his legacy
Nancy, EVH would be proud of this tribute. Bravo!
Echoes of 316. I love it!
One of the most talented quiet people ever to grace Planet Earth.
Great Job Nancy
Every man who saw them perform was in love with everything they still are..... !
A tribute for one of the greatest from one of the greatest.
She's awesome.

if I didn't know Nancy did this, I would think it was some demo done by Eddie himself. So amazing.
Outstanding!!
Just brilliant ❤
She still got it.
Thank you Nancy! ❤🎸🔥✝️👍You're the best!❤
Beautiful!!!! RIP Ed
How cool. It is amazing how connected she is to so many musicians. Great video!
Ann gets most of the attention in the band but Heart wouldn’t be the same without Nancy.
Beautiful.
Practically Perfect In Every Way!!

Very sweet.
A beautifully poignant moment of life and tribute from one musician to another.❤
MAGNIFICENT!!!
Aww, wow. Such a nice instrumental..it sounds & feels like a tune Eddie would play.
Thanks, Nancy. Fabulous. ❤
I’m so glad she’s still playing for us. ❤❤❤
Saw heart in concert in Seattle...so underated player!

A real class act, with this lady, always has been 🎉😊
Just awesome !
W O W ! ! !
Damn. Nancy is a musical wrecking ball on acoustic, too… 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
She's beast of a player!
Loved Heart!!!
It has a little bit of the sound from 316, on the For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge album.
Talent appreciates talent
Very cool
I remember this lady when I worked at captain hooks fish n chips. I was taking a order down town when she pulled up beside me in a corvette. She was laughing at my Captain Hook hat. 😂
Love it! Wonder what Wolfgang thinks of it 😊
She did a helluva lot more than others could have done...
Eddie deserved more than his Selfish kid did...
❤️
She is magical!
The tone on that guitar is as incredible as Nancy
Wow, she has hit the wall hard.
🧡🧡🧡
Gorgeous!!!
Man, they are so talented it's ridiculous. Also fast times at ridgemont high. she played the hot chick in the corvette.
Nancy still looks awesome .
I got into that.
Great content ! New subscriber here 🎉
Only wish the sound quality was better
She doesn’t get the credit she deserves as a great guitarist!!
F*ck yea!
Nancy is so cool
I grew up in Neptune where Eddie got the flying v out of the garbage can ... For real!
According to Ann and Nancy's book, the Van Halen brothers carnally propositioned the Wilson sisters, but it never took place.
There’s no need to qualify Nancy’s talent by her gender. She’s a great guitarist, PERIOD!
