Ok but like the way Kratos gently makes sure Atreus is okay after he transformed back, and then covered him when Freya destroyed the rock
I cant
Something that I see missing in the conversation about this scene is what Freya realized.
Baldur's dearh was her fault. She was an overprotective mother who took away his right to feel pain, pleasure, happiness and who excused his behaviour. She let Baldur go on a rampage, she made sure that he DIDNT learn responsibility and maturity.
Kratos stopped Atreus from killing Freya and in doing so taught him restraint, morals and virtue. Freya sees her mistake in that moment. Like everything else in this game, its absolutely genious and beautifully written
Something I also love is neither Kratos or Atreaus are aware about each other knowing what happens to Kratos at the end of the prophecy. Kratos is defending and protecting his only son and would die trying while oblivous to the fact that Atreaus is doing the same. Like you said genious and beatifully written.
@@stevenhernandez6889 i love that too! Its only when they open uo and trust each other that they avoid the prophecy
And kept him from killing a god of importance. The consequences kratos warned Atreus about. All of vanaheim would’ve hunted Atreus something kratos knows all to well. Thus the famous line both Zeus and kratos said, about the cycle.
It would almost be considered prophecy
Kratos cant face Freya due guilt.
And I think Freya considered killing his son in revenge but decided to not do so, specially after she just git her life saved.
This is really sad.
Freya never intended to kill Atreus. Atreus even approached Freya once & she didn't kill him
Kratos don't want to kill Freya but if Freya tries to kill Kratos, Atreus will not hesitate to koii Freya.....
So Freya...be careful....
And if Freya by mistake kills Atreus, you know what's gonna happen next
@@kaushikhegde8227 - Something that makes even Ragnarök look normal.
From 0:51 to 1:25, it seems to me that Freya no longer has any idea what to think at this point. Of course she's still overwhelmingly angry at Kratos, then in that moment, the realisation hits that he's simply a parent trying to protect his child, just like she wanted to do for Baldur. She gave Atreus a free pass on their last meeting and the fact that she became willing to kill him also seems to shake her to her core. Finally, that scream when she throws the vine at Kratos is one seemingly made up of a few emotions. Sadness, anger, frustration, perhaps a bit of guilt or remorse. As masterful as the writing was for this game, the direction for the voice actors plus their overall performances truly make this game a masterpiece.
Kratos wouldn't care if Freya tried to kill him. But if she killed atreus, im certain kratos would no longer restrain the rage he held since leaving greece and murder freya and every other god in his way.
“If I were to lose everything, is there enough left in me to make sure I do not become you?”
So that’s two times Freya owes her life to Kratos.
More than that. He told Odin to go away after an offer to take Freya out of the picture.
Not really, theres no way she would kosw to atreus
@@WhiteBoyTariq it doesn’t matter if she realizes it or not.
Freya was dead if kratos didn't stop atreus
Yeah I think we all watched the video
Or it could be his son who found his demise
@@ryankim9203 i don't know if she could kill Atreus. Mechanically, sure. But i think she'd be destroyed by it. Kratos killed her son who was trying to kill her; if she killed his son who was trying to protect his father, the disparity would consume her along with the guilt. Everyone except Heimdall likes Atreus.
@@DeaganusKratos would pulverize her instantly if she did that tbh
Idk about that, she is the top valkyrie
The fact Freya realises what a parent and child should feel for each over is heartbreaking
I honestly think that, if he wanted, Kratos could have obliterated Freya. IF he wanted, but he didn't.
Hell, to think he even jumped in between Atreus and her to save her, man... Kratos is seriously one of my favorite characters of all time.
Very considerate of freya not too litterally run kratos through with her sword while hes LITTERALLY fighting a bear
I love he presses his nose that's so funny
Gotta boop the snoot.
Bear detected, boop the snoot
Bears have an incredible sense of smell, even more so than the best breeds of hunting dogs. Their nose is filled with neurons and sensory glands, which probably makes it a sensitive part on their body. Kratos grabbing Atreus by his nose was likely intensional.
0:05 HOW DID KRATOS RECOGNIZE IT WAS FREYA?
Sword
Smell
Her cry is the same from the first attack
And he recognized her physical appearance and her abilities plus that she was once a queen val so he put it all together as he fought as when Atreus was asking who it was Keaton said focus as he himself was putting hints together remember he is a master puzzle solver
Kratos damn you auto correct 😂
What a powerful scene
Her threats are so adorable compared to the shit Kratos has already been through 😂
0:21 this part gave me goosebumps it gave me even more goosebumps at 0.5X
freya had helped atreus in the past god of war so kratos didn't want to let atreus attack freya
Why is odin's scream a meme but this 1:24 isn't?
Because this is more emotionally impactful than Odin’s scream. You can seriously hear all kinds of pain in that scream.
Odin…. eh.
I really wanted atreus to use spartan rage
Instead he went beast mode. 🤣
I’m glad I finally found someone saying this!!! I’m disappointed they teased him having it in the first game but we didn’t see him use it in this 2nd. 😭
It took a confrontation, a savings by grace and journey council to put the mind of a vengeful mother at ease
Brok the one with the mouth to care lol
Freya really is angry
I don't know why but I really like how differently Kratos "fights" bear Atreus after he knows it's his son compared to when he didn't know even though he's obviously gonna be restraining him rather than fighting him this time
He saves yo life ,boi
I hate the way this game made Freya feel her shit like as if she's top tier
Atreus never swiped at kratos ...he is already starting to control at this point and nobody noticed
This game voice actor and acting mock up so crazy.. even marvel looks cheap in comparisom
This game make thor from marvel look like a joke
Marvel es barato xd
Atreus the skinwalker or the skinchanger by tolkiens reference lol
Loki was a shapeshifter, its nothing new and its most certanly not a skinwalker reference.
@@pluppenkuppen6958 bruh
@@thedoruk6324 poor guy made a joke and someone had to ruin it 😭😭😭im so sorry
Man I miss Beorn and the Hobbit
0:49 Does ANYONE knows the name of this song? It was just the most impactful one to me.
Kratos, I love that you're trying to help my guy. But sometimes you gotta let a Boi do what Boi's gotta do.
Loki lost his mind 0:22
Freya lost her mind 1:24
Awesome transformation
Freya : you kill my son now make me a new one 😅
God i love Dadtos

This game sucks for one reason: It tries too hard and succeeds it too well!
Man they really turned Kratos into a PANSY, curse this new Bitch made era!
dude you should stop smashing your head on the wall cuz its making you more stupid than a brick
Fr im sick of this generation
I feel otherwise.. I feel like this is one of the best character arcs I've ever seen. But that's my opinion, and you have the right to hold your own.
@@shadow_wesker6666 I guess you like weak ass men then, christ this fucking modern age, I swear.
