    I was born and raised in the Bronx. Born in 1981. When crack first hit the streets, it was really bad. It damn near turned people into zombies. When I was about 6 years old, I actually witnessed a grown man run up on a kid, knock the kid off his big wheels bike (Popular item for kids back then), and run off with that kid's big wheels bike. Even kids back then weren't safe from dope fiends, who would rob and steal, so they could get money to purchase their next fix.

    Duke Bootee wrote the first verse of Mel's 'The Message' rap. The music was Panache - "Every Brother Ain't a Brother". The echoey spacey signature synth part was thanks to Sugar Hill Band bassist Doug Wimbish, inspired after listening to Brian Eno's - Bush of Ghosts...

      @@ungoyone Trying to break and calling yourself an actual breakdancer(like this boob does)are two completely different things.

    • @ungoyone
      @ungoyone 3 роки тому +2

      @@kingforty881 It wasn't nearly as strict in the 80's as it is now. Literally millions of little shorties emulating what we saw on Flashdance or Wide World of Sports battle or vids like Planet Rock. It was new and fresh and open to new styles and interpretations. Now everything is established and done for judge points.
      All that to say: every kid that took it kinda serious called themselves a breakdancer in the early-mid 80's, including me. Does that make all of us wack cuz I mean, breakdancer was the industry term? I don't ever hear the new kids today say breakdancing since it's not an actual term. It's not that serious and your dislike of the host is apparent. It is what it is but getting ruffled up cuz someone you don't like grew up in a different time and denying what they did is not the business.
      Have a good one.
