I've never driven on a rc track. So to get my feet wet, I just received a XRAY XB4D 4x4 buggy (dirt) plus, a Hobbywing XR10 Stock Spec G2 Sensored Brushless ESC/V10 G4R Motor Combo (17.5T)
I eventually want to race stock 17.5 buggy

I love my Xray XB2 & XB4. I find that the buggies are of great quality and there are quite a few parts available to improve them. They are already top-notch right out of the box. As for the motor, maybe a 17.5T won't be powerful enough, but I don't drive on dirt... I drive on astro and carpet. I run a 13.5T blinky.

How do you find the play in the diff housing? I find it verry suboptimal compared to do pr racing or even the yokomo MO 1.0 ...

I have no problem with front and rear differentials on my XB4
I have a central slipper on the carpet model

    Hi, quick question:
Diff gears are all plastic? If yes, is there a limit on KV? Can plastic gears survive 3S assuming the diff oil is perfect and frequently changed?
Evil tongues spread rumors that metal gears eat up 5% of shaft power in friction losses. Is that true?

Personally, at my level, I don't see much difference in terms of power. I installed metal gears as well as the cross... it runs just as well. It's up to you to decide if you want to modify this part.
