Wed round up so cool I dig it. All great cars.. X-ray baby nice. I love the family vib Keith. Key to family isn't what you do but that it's time together they will learn from every moment shared God bless Keith love it.. Family first
The track looks really great. A lot of work. You must be proud of yourself. The setting is beautiful with the trees surrounding it. It would look good if the 'grass' area's were built up more as you intended. Great job 👍🙂
Yes! So much fun! That is so true with the track surface...the old tracks were so loose, needed some real chunky, aggressive tread tires to get any grip.
Great that Caleb and David are loving it so much. Way better than any game on your phone. Getting together with the family having fun! Puts a big smile on my face. 👍
Absolutely awesome buddy! I think someones been sneaking down to the track late at night and practising... driving well buddy! 😁 So good to see you having fun with all the family! 👍
Your track is amazing. Not much is better than a proper dirt track. Great job mate. Thanks for sharing it with us. That X-ray is a monster on the spikes. Looking forward to next Wednesday
This is so cool. Yeah there is nothing smoother than a belt drive. So, all you need to do now is start eyeing of another part of your property for an on-road course.
I don't dare dip my toes into X-ray. Tamiya, Futaba and AE is my limit. I already have kits in every corner of the house. Can't wait to see the Blitzer. It's great to see someone else with a vintage track surface. I built my track to suit the limitations of frog and it's worked well.
Love seeing everyone having fun! Turn down (soften) the throttle/punch on the esc until there is better throttle control (esp on db01) Xb4 seems to have too much steering (turn end points down)
BIG THUMBS UP KEITH! 😊 Great to see you and the fam all out there enjoying the fruits of your labour. Soo many people will be watching on with envy and why shouldn't they? 😁. Best advice for any new driver is to start slow. Stunt shows are a lot of fun but eventually when it comes down to a race and the competitive nature rises to the surface, you'll find going back to a silver can Manucho or Johnson will improve your driving more than you'll know. This is a lesson I had to learn myself. Over time with experience a driver will better learn to control their car. Still, it's a heck of a lot of fun you guys will have for sure. Happy Days Keith.
Building the track was so worth it with the whole family getting involved. I'm glad to hear that David is building a Terra Scorcher. I've just stripped mine down to clean and rebuild with some new parts and some upgrades. Tell him I'm interested to see his going around the track!
That is so bloody awesome, I can’t wait to see more videos of the track with you enjoying it with the family.. I might need some tips I’ve decided on a top force to bring over to the vintage bash in Melbourne, but I’ve got no clue what I’m doing to set it up
Hole line pro shots!? That must be that new brand 😂 That made me giggle I watch my videos back and can’t believe half of what I’m saying, it’s all coming out wrong but I don’t notice at the time .
Loving it 👍👍.. Keith try a brushless setup then you can set up the drag brake it should help with the cars handling, as soon as you let off throttle instant brake and better traction and you shouldn't over cook the corners as much 👍. But all in all you are both driving a load better after so few laps 👍👍
Man it looks like a blast out there! Perfect spot and great layout. You guys are definitely getting faster and smoother out there! I give it another month or so and the lap counter system will be going in!! LOL! Super cool that all of you are enjoying it and I look forward to seeing many more races from out there!
Can't half tell that x ray isnt a top end rrace car. You are getting faster and more consistent already. Also looking at the young blokes run to their cars made me smile. I can't do that anymore. Its more like a slow walk of shame for me these days
Great track!!! Looks like fun. Installing a transponder timing system might be cool to track your driving improvements…3 months from now, I would be willing to bet your lap times will drop significantly. It would make comparisons between settings, tires, and different vehicles easier to evaluate. 🎉🤓🏎
Looks amazing out there! So fun to have right in your backyard (literally). Just based on the couple track videos, I would slow down your servo just a bit, or take some dual rate out of it, bring it down to around 80-85%. Car looks a little twitchy and on a lose track makes it harder to stay consistent.
Man I’m happy for you man make sure you get yourself family photos for later in life. Good times. It’s the Wednesday Beatdown. Looks like in general everyone has gotten better finger control.
Dearest Keith ❤️ the first cute jump, has to be called ”jump david” he is your youngest 🥰 … just now I just realized, table jump = ”the Morencie kitchen table” ❤️ … ok I’m saving the best for last. The W is mrs Morency giggle 😊❤️
Looks absaloutley insane! Id love to have a go around there. Also, do us brits a favour, its pronouced "SHOO-MAKKA" not, "SHOO-MAKER" 😅😅 loving the videos!
Keith, ever tought of putting green carpet( fake grass carpet) on your track or that you can do both, it's a whole different racing game on fake grass, much more traction then what you are having now....
How is the wear on the spike tyres on the track? Interessted on seeing how long the spike tyres will last. It should be less wear than if you run them on asfault right? 😊
@@AsurasWrath164 no I have never driven on a dirt track so was curious if one need to often change tyres 😊 since one has to glue the tyres these days it can become expensive 🤔
@prophetate nah, you just unglue them. Either drop the tires in an acetone bath or put the tires in the oven for 30-60 minutes on 60-70⁰Celsius. Both methods will dissolve the superglue nicely and you can reuse the rims very often.
Cool and thanks 😊 I have tried the oven but it made the rim too soft so it got disfigured when trying to remove the tyre. Need to try the acetone way 😊
@prophetate you need a plastic container that can whitstand acetone. I think PP can do that( Need to check on mine to verify). Then you have two options; 1: you put acetone and a wooden/steel block in the container and put the wheel on top, then close the container and let the fumes do the work. Takes longer but won't strip chrome coating for example 2: you put a little bit of acetone into container and put the wheel into so that just one side of the wheel is submerged.the turn the wheel around. Also close container. This method is much faster. Good quality wheels won't be damaged, ultra cheap stuff might get deformed. Just try out what works best! I mostly use the acetone method

XB was ripping man smiles for miles..... Thanks for sharing Keith.
Wowsers super cool Keith 👍👏 I'm so happy for you all 🤗
Thanks for the update Keith. I like the running part
Love seeing the younger generation in the hobby. Soon you'll have all the neighbours kids racing RC.

A lap counter would be great!! It will show that sometimes slow is faster 😊. Grate job and good family fun!🎉
Great that Caleb and David are loving it so much.

👍
Another great video Keith good family fun. Looked like you were getting in a groove and finding a good line.
Both the jumps turned out perfect 😊 and it seems the spike tyres are the way to go 😊 awesome video Keith ❤
Excellent! Proper family fun right there.
Fantastic to see. Definitely get Glenn over one day.

Very cool Keith. It must be so rewarding to spend these days with your family driving on the track that you worked so hard to build. Well done sir.
Great video guys. I’d love to see you guys run a hornet, a grasshopper, and a frog all together on the track.

Hi Keith and the guys from Yorkshire England try not to over steer to much it just takes practice nice to see your family all driving rc 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Im smiling ear to ear, Cheers this made my day!

With his professional background, 2 kids, that property and the humongous RC car collection - building a track was kind of a logical progression.

transponders and lap scoring will be next
Awesome 🤩🤩🤩
I wonder if you could fit transponders so you could get lap times. Not sure whether that’s expensive to do . But looks like you are having great fun .
1 transponder alone costs 120-200 bucks. Not to speak of the whole system.
Have you considered getting a timing system? I would be very cool to see lap times and consistency ect.
Ok Keith. I hear your arguably better half in the background. Saying this is fun. You need to have her build a kit
And run with you

On the beetle did you do the steering mod to prevent bump steering?
I'm still waiting for you to do track times of every car you're going to use on the track.

I would like to drive my trf 501x we with the brushless 6.5 at your place.
Kids are not professionels. They need more robust fun cars.
that loose dirt track is not good for your cars, not good for those tamiya's drivetrains.....
