Video guide on how to get the Bronze Medal trophy in Blasphemous on the PS4.
You could probably do this even faster by NOT picking up as many collectibles and doing sidequests, but I decided to do so to see if it was still possible to achieve the trophy by doing so. Turns out it is well possible. :)

Thanks for the walkthrough!! Help a lot. Anyone wondering with the part with the mist after the update, you can slide by most of the enemies and heal once or twice at the end, if you end up at the heart with low health and no flasks just open up the map and go to the main menu, when you load back in you'll be at your last shrine with the heart in hand

Yeah, Stir of Dawn added quite a bit, but it shouldn't impact a fresh save TOO much, as most of the added is NG+ only.
@@Aeshmah The damage scaling for the gas and acid is much higher now, that's for sure 😂

@@DiegoTan66 unfortunately not. It's time consuming but the way I did it was memorise a segment up to a save point, close the game and upload to the cloud, rinse and repeat. I actually had to download a save after messing up a couple of times so it was worth it. Good luck!

@@ryankirk9916 Yeah, just make sure you keep helping Redento along until he's at Patio of the Silent Steps, and then don't talk to him once you see him there, just wait until you can get Cleofas to do his thing.
I'm going to attempt to go for Platinum on PS4 so I might have to try it this way. The only thing I would've done differently I think would've been to go into the ossuary and cash in all those bones you picked up, it would've saved you some grinding in order to fill up the empty flasks and buy abilities. But then again, I don't know if this version of the game even gave out tears for bones, or if that was only added after Stir of Dawn.

Definitely prefer this route over the one on Reddit. They make you do Tres Anguistas FIRST. Grievance ascends killed me just by entering a door. I'd rather do mercy dreams and convent first.

@@Aeshmah Since I'm doing NG+, the linen will help me do shortcuts to get to the cistern and Perpetva's grave earlier.
I really don't want to do this challenge because I hate time sensitive challenges... And I have a habit of still checking everywhere on the map even though I've beaten it 5 times now. I don't have a proper mapped rout planned out and feel like that's too much effort.
I'm doing the no heals run now and I think I have... 4 more bosses left 🤔

I haven't played the game since the Stir of Dawn released, but my guess that cannot do that there, because the save timer would probably continue running on NG+ and I THINK the achievement is tied to that. I'll gladly be proven wrong, though. :D

I'm in a bender here, because I can't figure out if I want to do a NG+ run trying to get Requiem Aternam or Bronze Medal. Any suggestions?
Doing Requim Aternal on Ng+ is difficult. Its easy on Normal mode during your first run.
How can you hit that last boss on the bridge I get destroyed before I could even jump or attack
how do i get the last breath trophy? i take the help of viridiana but after the boss fight she is never there and i can't talk to her. it is gone every time.
You have to let her help during three different boss battles. So just keep asking her for help whenever you can.
Damn I just did it on Ng+1 with a timer of 2hrs and 19 mins.
It was quite the hassle I must say, but all the more reason that it works on Ng+
Geez, didn't realize this worked on NG+ now. The only thing is that the bosses are so much harder to kill already on NG+ that I'm still not sure if it's preferable to just doing this in NG or not. I dumped my penance and still struggled my ass off against Tres Angustias in particular on NG+ until I disciplined myself to block the spear laser attack just about every time.
@@j5689 in NG+ they get buffed significantly, but you can cheese them with the pillar of light prayer, the +prayer damage sword and the ink blot bead (gives +200% prayer damage in total and by catching all three in the blast you do massive damage to their joint healthbar). Should finish them in two or three blasts. Definitely save that boss for last so you can grab fervour upgrades, etc. beforehand.
Does this work on ng+ then? My file says over 60 hours lol
@@UzielUzumaki From what people are saying, it seems to work on NG+, but personally I would just make a new 2nd or 3rd save file just to knock it out on NG because it's so much easier to do it that way.
Really useful video for routing, but please, if you're gonna make a guide for an achievement that depends on time, restrict yourself to the main components of the run. Getting collectables, buying the ribbon when the egg side quest isn't even relevant to this, doing the guy on the tree quest, doing the kissers of wounds quest, and all other stuff just makes it so I have to memorize the route + memorize where NOT to go to get the useless stuff. Not trying to tell you how to make your videos, but it's a bit obnoxous from a viewer standpoint.
That's the thing, though: They are already so many guide out there that show you how to do it fast it would be a bit superfluous to create another one. While this one is definately a tad slower, due to the things mentioned, you at least get a save file out of it with which you can still go for every other trophy as you collect all the missables along the way.
But yeah, I totally get what the criticism.

In the description you say "I am doing this as a test", and you also replied to people saying "the completionist in me just wanted to get things", for no specfic reason. However, if what you're saying now is true, I get wanting to set yourself apart, but honestly, I would bet the large majority of people watching a guide on this have already played the game casually. And an even bigger majority is only here for the optimal route, not setting up a usable save. Advertising it as a simple "trophy guide" is also misleading. Especally considering that because of it, youtube shows it as the first suggestion after searching for a guide. Again, your video is good, and I'm not lecturing you or anything. You seem to accept criticism well, so I hope you get what I'm trying to say.
Trying something different/testing a route with collectables/playing as a completionist because you can't help yourself = absolutely fine.

Concerning that the alleged "large majority of people watching a guide on this have already played the game casually"... well, you should know where to go then, no? It's not like the game is overly complicated in that manner. Getting all the missables along the way, though, kinda is. And even if you are not here to set up a "usable save", you're still getting the trophy out of it and in about half the required time, thus still making it a trophy guide. Granted, the shown method might not make it the most EFFICIENT way to go about things, but it is effective nonetheless.🤷♂️
Also, I'm probably the person who is the most surprised that YT is recommending this guide over others(?), but the algorithm does what the algorithm wants, I suppose.😅

In my mind someone who reads someone's honest, not offensive, constructive feedback and resorts to "fuck off", "make your own video", "the video is free" is definitely a pain to be around. 37:50 How do get pass the gas without taking your life away quickly? Have been following your walkthrough but keep getting killed.
There's a relic that you get later in the game that makes you immune to it. At this in the game you won't have it, though, so if you want to go and get the sword heart, you just have to be quick. Otherwise just come back later, no worries.
@@Aeshmah It's ok, I found out what I did wrong. I didn't get the item from old lady in her shop. The mess of preserved glass. I had do it again but got the Bronze Medal achievement! Did it in 2hrs 30 on my third try. Thanks for the walkthrough.

Nah, for the "Bronze Medal" trophy you really only have to go through the big dorr at the end of the Bridge of the Three Cavalries, so you only have to get the three marks (by beating Ten Piedad, Our Lady of the Charred Visage and Tres Anguistas) and beat Esdras. Everything else is basically optional. The completionist in me just HAD to get everything along the way, though... :D

I thought i have to do all this things within 3 hours , Just followed your guide and killed our lady of the charred visage , i got 1 hour to reach the 3rd boss to get this trophy >____
@@scarlatti222 Hehe, no worries. Just beeline it between all the bosses and you should get it, no problem. I would advise you to get the health/sword upgrades, though, as they can make your life easier. Also, save before every boss and reload the save if you should die too often, as continue playing will increase your time, I THINK.

@@scarlatti222 Oh, a TON, actually. You will probably already miss out on quite a few of them if you go "just" for Bronze Medal. However, this is somewhat mitigated if you do the speedrun as I do here, as I actually satisfy all the requirements that need to be done to NOT miss out on any missable trophies up until this point in the game (you can, however, still screwm them up later of course). I would advise you to either check my Platinum Trophy Let's Play of the game, as I get all the trophies there or check the trophy guide that I link to in every video to get a comprehensive view of the whole thing.

Thanks to Wounds of Eventide update we can actually skip Esdras fight is we speak with Perpetua on his tomb, but I don't know if it's worth the effort to look for the tomb

@@Aeshmah in the newest version of the game they made poison clouds do way more damage so it's not possible to run through there anymore

No but pressing PlayStation button and leaving it on home screen does.
If you pause the game, dies the timer stop, or do you have to Speedrun the game?
Timer does not stop. can confirm it stops on ps5 if you press the PS button to bring the dashboard up. Probably the same on xbox. Not sure about pc/switch.

no, it's bugged after the DLC update just like Requiem Aeternam trophy. Hotfix is on its way it seems

Hi there ! I'm actually trying this right now on ng+. I saw a post on reddit and one guy said that he did it on ng+ 4 or 5 and it worked somehow so i'll keep in toutch i guess 🤔

He playing on super baby mode? That toxic 38 mins in absolutely destroys you in 3-4 ticks now
There are no difficulty options.
The game has been patched after the release of this video so the mist/gas now deals WAY more damage, so you HAVE to have the appropriate relic to safely pass through this area now.
While this makes it impossible to get the heart at the point at which I'm getting it, it's also not a big deal for the trophy, as you can safely ignore it and come back for it later.👍

This is the first version of the game. After the first dlc they totaly remade some characters
There's a cooler route than this, it only takes 20-45 mins and you arrive at the door from the back.
