I've watched this video about 5 times now and have compared pictures of this, the ad on ebay and photos of the legit version. One more minor difference I've noticed is the black marks that have the "kink" in them swirling around. On the ebay version it looks as if a "kink" or two is missing around the volume knob area, they just stay straight. On the stock photos the kink is definitely there. Maybe they vary but that's something I noticed. Not that I'd care, it's a badass guitar. If my chibson was not currently ordered I'd pick this up bc in all honesty it fits my personality better. Lol. When my chisbon arrives I will have 5 guitars and 3 are because of your reviews. This would be 4/6 if I pulled the trigger.

They 1000% use the same factory ..I used to teach at GC.I've played every new Gibson LP, Strat, ESP, PRS that would come in. I how the retail game works. Almost all of the guitars that are made here in the US are worse than ever.You can hear it & feel it. Those cats in China are making better copies.
Love your videos and that is an excellent replica of Zakk's guitar...One food for thought is that no non active pick-up is going to give you the power of the EMG 81 and 85 that Zakk uses. These active EMGs have a 15 watt pre amp in them and literally suck the sound in with the 9 volt battery they run on. Glisses, harmonics, sustain, and feed back are just utterly insane on the active EMGs...Chugging on the actives is just awesome also. I turned a Gibson Les Paul Studio into a Zakk Wylde machine by using the active EMGs, playing through a CRY BABY, and a Marshall Super Triple lead 100 watt amp half stack...Keep these videos coming because these are amazing guitars you find price to performance wise...

She finally came. 8.5 out of 10. Several blemishes. Heel joint, no scarf joint. I offered less than asking price. Maybe that's why mine is less than perfect. Definitely a keeper!

I really wanted this one bad especially after watching your great review, but i am still a bit afraid to order one from China. There were none available with this finish on Ebay either. So i ordered the Purple Vortex model just a few minutes ago. I still like the looks of the Buzz saw model, but the main thing i am hoping for is mine comes as nice as yours did. I realize it probably won't, but i can set it up if all it needs is a truss rod adjustment etc. You really did a great review here man and i have subscribed so i can see more and maybe get more knowledge before buying more guitars. Well mine got here and i checked it over good. Of course the first thing i did was tune and play a little. I know people say this a lot, but i was genuinely and pleasantly surprised. Then i checked the action and if there was any buzzing. Action about the same as yours with no buzzing at all. Next i checked the pots. Big full sized pots. I am over 70 now and several years ago i had to sell my 170+ all high end collection. I had everything from modern Gibsons, Country Gentlemen, White Falcon etc... and a few vintage es-295 Gibsons from the fifties etc... so i doubted t5his guitar would satisfy me, but it has more than satisfied. I really love the sound of the pickups too. So thanks for doing these honest reviews. I hope everyone has the experience i did . I've bought 2 myself and I have had the same experience with those as you have and mine had the good bridge with the little posts and they have to be real Grovers because there's no way those are fake.i have the sg looking one and the red one with the horns.im not sure what it's called I'm pretty sure it's the Oden something but yeah nice.🤯🤘

These are Korean Knock offs in my copy.

From what you are saying about the veneers and tone wood that axe should cut through the mix well in the mids and that’s where a great tone should sit imho
The fret board inlays are Nordic runes. This is tying in to Zakks viking themed guitars.
Markings on fretboard appear to be runestone or knights templar symbols. If holidays weren't approaching I would order 1.
its Scandinavian runic numbers had to freeze the video and looked. Im wondering if he got the idea by himself or if someone at Schecter came up with it. And thats a sick copy of the love the episode.
This seller now has 2 versions of this guitar... the second version the black stripes are much more accurate to the original, but I really like the amount of burl in the one you got, (the other version) and the color. The quality you got in your video is the driving factor for me picking the same version you got too... but I'm really curious to see what the differences are in the 2!

Thanks brother. Many are fantastic. However some can be low quality. Generally the cheaper it is the less quality it is. But many are well worth upgrading. The only thing that I have done to this is put some hipshot locking tuners on it. It did not need them. It was just a personal preference. The build quality itself is outstanding on this particular one.
Keep in mine the the Wylde Audio guitars are amazing and these definitely do not match those in quality. But they are nice for the price.

@Niki_B_Lee definitely. I got lucky with these pickups. Nice output and non microphonic. The new EMG "style" pickups seem to be much better than in the past.

for tuners my Schecter busted my tuners
so I tried Musiclily brand and they are incredible
I'll either put those on my Black Beauty or Gold Grovers
for pick ups I heard another guy on here play Dragon Fire Humbuckers
depending on how the guitar sounds on my board..I mostly play MXR Dunlop pedals live rehearsals and teaching
I just want to get the guitar first and.go from there

It was fantastic but the body just didn't hold up

When I buy Ebay replicas, I buy random Guitars From Random Ebay sellers. They do not know me.(most of the time they do not even ship to my address.) I do not tell them who I am or that I have a channel. I just look for sellers with good communication And good feedback. They are shipped directly from a supply warehouses either on the west coast or the east coast. These sellers never touch them. No one hand picks a chibson to send the best, unless it is a custom order made specifically to your specs from a builder. I have many Chibson style guitars. 2023 was a great year for quality. 2024 looks to be even better. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching brother.

I can't tell if it is or a thin veneere. I will scrap the edge of the pickup cavity to check when I do my next update. It's paint covered around the edge so I can't see. On my list of things to check.

Look up Nordic Symbols, Viking Rune. Each one has a meaning.
Would be interesting to get another one or two of these from the same seller to get the idea of this is a fluke or they’re all this top notch. This one is clearly killer!
I do wish they’d offer the option of active pickups as an option for a few bucks more. Even if someone would swap them to a different brand, all the added routing would be ready to go so it wouldn’t look like a hack job (for most people without the skills lol). Or I wonder if they’d be willing to ship without any pickups (just routing).
Have you ever asked any of these Chibson companies that you like if they’d make accommodations like that? It’s a curiosity.

He actually said that it doesn't smell like nitro, Also Nitro doesn't smell forever. Only when it's in the first stages of gasing off. The acetone test is always the best way to tell, if you happen to have a safe spot to test it. Also if the finish is is old enough, nitro will look like snot runs under a black light. He tests for nitro all the time. Some guitars claim to be nitro bit are not, and vise versa. He shows us what is and what isn't.
@drumsandstuff7987 I did say that it didn't smell like nitro. Testing is a must for viewers. Everyone always asks. The black light trick is one that not many know about. Kudos, brother!
On fresh builds, yes. But it's always best to test to be sure.

1.42 mm = 0.05590551 inches, which is 1/10th of 1/2 inch (0.5 inches). A half inch is 127 mm. 1.42 isn't even a quarter inch.
It's 14.2mm. I simply misplaced the decimal point during editing. 0.56 inch. About a 1/2 inch.

How fat is the neck? Think about getting one but don’t want a fat Gibson style neck.
U can tell its fake the headstock isnt a inlay its a decal… the truss rod cover is wrong its 1 screw not 3 and the bridge and tailpiece should be matt not gloss
Not a sticker. It's actually painted under the clear. The truss rod screws and the volume knob location are the big tell.
The one pictured on Guitar Centers site only has 1 truss rod cover screw.

I got the warhammer copy with the circle nordic patterned paint job awesome guitar, but it has a fake floyd with no locking nut WTF, i bitched about it to the seller and they said it is how it is pictured, not so much they didn't show the headstock in the pics, for $225.00 I'll figure it out .
