Hahaha I toggle between the Volume Addict and the Bun Lifer depending where I’m at with my wash cycle 😂😂😂
Gorgeous! Thank you!
Tymo is another great Dyson dupe!!! Cuts my diffusing time in half! Ps. Did you grow out your grey naturally? Beautiful!!! I just had my stylist actually color mine grey to transition…not sure how I feel about it yet lol😅
Im definitely more than one of these! 😂😂
OMG! This is hilarious, and I am absolutely a hand swiper! 😂
I do love cutting my hair also and when people notice. Then I can say "oh I did it this morning" and I get a lot of shocked looks that I actually cut my own hair. I had my hair cut over ten years ago by a stylist and was charged $100. I do have a lot of hair and I think they charge even more for curly girls now. I can conservatively say I've probably saved over $100,000 just from cutting my hair for the last 35 years. As an adult I've had someone cut it maybe three times and the cost always shocked me. I guess I should of just put that money in savings. I do color my own also. I have taught my 15 year old son to cut his own also and he has been for several years now. I also taught my husband and he has for 20 years or so, I used to cut it the first couple years of our marriage along with my son's when he was small. So girls, pretend like you're paying someone and put the money in your savings or money market account. FYI Chamomile tea helps prevent gray hair. Great video I do it pretty much the same way, but will have to try pulling it to the opposite side to see what it does.
Thank you for this amazing tutorial ❤ haircut came out perfect,I was so scared but all went well
Oh I’m so pleased to read this!!
Much more volume! Looks incredible!
Can you share what product you have in your spray bottle? It didn't look like it was just water.
It was just water but the spray bottle is frosted so it looks like product in the bottle 😃 I only ever use water in my bottle
I had my hair cut in the butterfly cut and it looks like a large step between the layers
I don’t have curly hair but i feel like all curly hair is STUNNING no matter the routine
Lol I'm all of these depending on the mood 😄
🤣🤣
1:21 This sentence is all what I needed to know to make my decision. Thank you!
You are welcome 🤗
Realy I'm wowed by the effect it will gives 🤩, nice result🫰🩷,but what do u think about the mixing of two colors like ruby and rose gold 🤔😉
I bet that would be really pretty!
My scissors just arrived today...wish me luck!
Oooo I’m excited for you!
My hair is thin and fine and I have a very slightly wave pattern it weighed my hair down with the gel. 😢 Any advice for thin fine hair for a how to refresh?
Hi Marisa, I just started using Curl Keeper and I am still trying to figure out the best way to apply the products and the correct order to do so. Your hair is beautiful! You don't apply any leave-in or cream before the Original styler?
No I tend to go straight to the original styler and then follow up with a gel or mousse 😃 and you can be really generous with the original styler I find
I have fine hair that I just recently did a big chop on and I need some help with volume. My usual products are quite heavy because I needed that with my longer hair, but now that it's short, I need something more bouncy. I'll give it a try with the same products you have because it looks like we have the same type of hair. Hoping to get good results like you. Thanks for sharing your routine.
im so happy you fixed the back of your head when i saw you brushing it down like that in the beginning LOL
I found this brush made my curls always come out stringy. It separates the curl clumps too much. I brush, hand scrunch, add curl keeper hand scrunch , & Kenra curl glaze mousse, then finally I lightly scrunch out any excess water or product using a microfiber towel (which is where the curl magic happens - there’s something special that occurs when I scrunch with my favorite microfiber towel).
May I ask what is your curl pattern? I think if it’s wavy it would make your hair stringy because your clumps are already smaller. I have 3A pattern and I dont like to section my hair while styling (too much effort and time consuming) but at the same time I don’t like big clumps. That’s why I guess this brush would work well for me (I didn’t purchase it yet).
@ my curl pattern is very similar to yours - between 2C curls & 3B coils. My hair is super fine though & I’m 99% sure it’s the reason it gets stringy with the brush. My curl pattern has “tightened up” quite a lot since this thumbnail pic (due to hormone changes). I can see the brush working for ppl with more hair on their head or thicker strands. As I described earlier, the magic in my curls happen after products are applied & I gently squeeze out excess product wetness using a microfiber towel & air drying. Even diffusing ruins clumps & creates limpness & frizz. So I air dry bcz I really rely on a cast. Once it’s fully dry THEN I can style. But on 2nd 3rd & even 4th day hair I use steam (clothing steamer gives mass amounts). My curls absolutely LOVE steam! That’s what really turns my pattern from 2C curls (in the back) to strong 3B coils & locks them in. Steam is what lets me go 3-4 days til my next wash. My hair never comes out good on wash day - it’s too…. Idk, soft? I get those nice locked in coil clumps after steaming. I can diffuse after steaming too - I get tons of volume on days 2, 3 & 4. If you have a PO Box, I’ll send you my brush / if you want. You can keep it. I tried using it twice & just can’t.
My hair is so dry (mostly the top part of my crown) as I’ve bleached and straightened my hair for years. Some days my curls look lovely but I have to finger curl the top part daily. I sleep in a bonnet with it piled up (no bobble) I’m going to try and add my products to damp rather than soaking just to see if it helps. X😊
I have been looking at Laifen hair dryers after watching one of your past videos. I just placed my order and used your code. Thanks so much! Love your channel and curls ;)
Oh I’m excited for you!!
This is very helpful and your curls look very soft and beautiful 😍 🎉
Thanks so much 😃
I am a product junkie and feel like I have tried every gel. My hair is very dry and protein sensitive. After trying Tootilab I am sold. The leave-in and gel are my all time favorite combo!
That’s amazing! Such a good feeling
I’ve been wanting to try this brand. Can you elaborate why you think Tootlilab is on the over conditioning side? This concerns me.
I wouldn’t say they are over conditioning in general but my hair is extremely prone to over conditioning and these products made my hair beautifully soft but I could see them making my hair a little too soft over time if I used them every washday. I will probably combine them with more gritty products going forward
@@MarisasCurls my hair is also prone to over conditioning. Do you think if you leave out the leave in it would be better?
@MarcP5267 yes I think so or perhaps if I used my usual more protein heavy conditioner and then no leave in
@@MarisasCurls what’s your more protein heavy conditioner?
Thank you but I really couldn't be bothered to do this. Luckily my hair does curl without all this. It just puts me off
The Tootilab gel is amazing!!!
Marisa, thanks LOADS for the Laifen tip and code. I've just placed my order! What a great price. Also, your videos are quite helpful! I'm about to go cut my own curls. Wish me luck!
Oo I’m excited for you!
Just checked the price of Tootilab OMG that wash day was like £130!! Wow your hair looks gorgeous as always
If you order the bundle and then use my discount it takes it down to £92.50 which is a huge discount! But yes they are high end products 😃
Love tootilab. Your hair is lovely
Thank you! 🤗
Thanks so much for this video! Just trimmed my curly hair with your techniques and it worked beautifully! My hair looks like it was professionally done! ❤
That’s amazing!! So glad it worked for you
@MarisasCurls 💖💖💖
Its makes it worst DON’T EVER TRY THIS
Did you use a diffuser to dry your curls or did you air dry! Love seeing your process! I just got mines and I can’t wait to try!
I diffused 😃
Where do I get these brushes
I linked them in the description 😃
Your hair is fuller/curlier with the 2nd/newer brush. My hair type, texture & length is different from yours so I am not sure of what my results would be...
Can i ask why day 3 hair?
Just because I don’t want to mess up my washday curls 😅
Hi Marisa! First off, nice editing job by your daughter! Looks like you have a good helper there. Second, love these results on your hair. I have these three products and recently got the volume brush, so I’m definitely going to be trying this routine out. I’ve struggled with this specific mousse, but you’ve inspired me to try it again. Question for you - do you have any other specific products that you really like to use the Curl Keeper Original styler under❓Do you use it in place of a curl cream❓Thank you! Lastly, I would love to see you do a one and done with the Curlsmith hairspray. 😀
Thanks so much! She did a great job. I love using the Curlkeeper Original under the Curlkeeper gel and to be honest it’s great under anything with hold 😃 and yes I wouldn’t use a curl cream as well
@ Thanks for the further info on how you like to use it, this is helpful for me! 😊
I just started my curly hair journey. Did my first wash yesterday with all the products and so on and it left my hair looking very oily. I'm not sure what to do to fix it
Try simplifying. Use less and only pick one or two products to use
Product name?
my routine: separate into 4 sections aussie detangler curl talk cream curl talk mousse eco olive oil gel rosemary oil to break the cast and sometimes spray with a small amount of hairspray if it’s going to be humid
Can you link the IG video with the curls specialist talking thru the cross the head cut? I couldn't find it
The video seems to be unavailable sorry but I have no idea why
Oh no! Is that the name of her channel? Maybe I can find it there
Hey please here in my country we only have olant based gelatin , does it work the same or i need anim gélatine , because in your package it mentioned pig skin ? 🥺
I don’t think plant based gelatin would work because it doesn’t have the protein content. You would probably be better off buying a treatment which contains a good amount of protein like Curlsmith Bond curl Rehab Salve 😃
Hi, are you buying CurlKeeper on the frizz off website? As it only says about delivery in Canada and U.S , not the UK? Many thanks
Hi, you can get it from Naturalistic Products or Kiyo Beauty in the uk
SHE SLAYED SO HARD!!! GORGEOUS!!!💅🎀💗
Thanks so much
Hi Marisa! Bought the curl keeper gel on your suggestion but struggling to get it to work for me. Have you had issues combining it with the bounce curl clump and define cream? I thought the issue was maybe that my hair was too dry last time I used it, but this morning I made sure my hair was soaking and still my hair just fluffed out of control like I'm not using any gel. It sounded like there was enough gel in my hair. It's really leaving me like a puzzled poople. Any insights?
Was it the Curlkeeper gel or the Curlkeeper original liquid styler that you used?
@MarisasCurls I used the gel! I don't have the liquid styler
True! I saw all the videos about dry curly hair and followed all the tips and my hair quickly became over moisturised and hard to handle it was a reasonably easy fix though
Lol...i do the same thing 😂
That brush has been a game changer for my wavy loose curls!!
this is so helpful bc i only have eco gel and mousse and have tried different tactics EVERY NIGHT and they always end up uncomfortable. THANK YOU!!
Adorable!
