One of the greatest rock bands that came out of the 70s! "Drivin' Wheel" is my favorite -- pure rock and roll. Thank God I was there to see/hear it all happen! God bless you Lonesome Dave, RIP.
One of the greatest rock bands ever, of any decade. I got to see them 7 times. The last was in 1998 in Mishawaka Indiana at a small venue. Poor Dave was in remission but not well. They still played like it was a huge stadium. I will never forget that show. Got to talk to them in the parking lot afterward.
I know Im asking randomly but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my login password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Misael Danny I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I went to see them in concert great concert. Great band ❤very underrated. Good old days miss them. Grew up in the 70’s that was good old Rock n Roll y never see again ever .
Great stuff. Foghat was one of the best rock bands of the Seventies. The reunion of the original lineup in the 90"s showed that they could still rock! R.I.P. Lonesome Dave and Rod Price. The band will never be the same.
AntoniusRome Hall of Fame is bullshit should be so many great bands in there that ain't in there people that are in there that shouldn't even fucking be close to being in there so a bunch of bullshit what do you expect from Cleveland should have been in Boston or Philadelphia
@@edreebenaker5094 It comes from New York not Cleveland. Rock and Roll was given the name by Allen Freed way back in the fifties in Cleveland. I don't like the bullshit nominees . Lots of great bands get snubbed year after year.
An absolute masterpiece, no room for improvement. Energized is highly underrated. Rod played the best slide guitar ever, Dave's vocals were so exciting and powerful, and such a rush. Much credit to all the other guys as well. The mid 70's lineup was phenomenal. I saw them in 1980 and still remember my ears ringing so bad and feeling like superman walking out of there. I'm glad I didn't get a speeding ticket.
I saw them in '78 and that's exactly how I felt. They defined the term "Rock and Roll" better than anyone else on-stage. They burned down the L.A. Forum that night.
Yeah, Slowride is/was played to death!!! I don't even listen to it anymore when its played on the radio..... FOGHAT has SO MANY great tunes......one that NEVER got any radio airplay was "Nervous Release" off the BOOGIE MOTEL album. Check it out here on UA-cam, its a Jam!!!
Undercover of the silver moon, run for cover, There's a lover with a magic gun, Gonna work you over, roll you in the clover. 'Cause he's a rock and roll outlaw with a six string gun, stealin' love for fun, Sayin' c'mon baby, let's ride tonight, until the risin' sun We gotta ride, ride, ride, ride, ride.
This is the best version of this song I've ever heard ! Thanks a million for sharing this ... I can't get enough of this awesome rock ! Thank you !!!!!!
Bless these guys. They seemed like they toured 9 months out of the year. Man, they wrote and performed their own stuff! That's gone now. Lots of memories. Thanks!
This song was piped into music lineup at a grocery store I worked at in the early 2000's. Whenever it came on there were many fellow employees rockin tough in the isles. Rod Price is laid to rest in Wilton, NH. Ten minutes from my town.
Really, my absolute favorite band. As you can see, live they will blow you away. Rod Price is the greatest....rest his soul, and Dave is a great rhythm player, his parts are essential to the sound. Their version of Terraplane Blues is absolutely brilliant.
I saw these guys at the great COBO Hall, Detroit Michigan in 1979... It was incredible. The entire areana was "one" with the boogie-woogie greats. And how about Dave's voice !! kept its pitch after all these years.
Rock and roll Outlaws to this day is one of my favorite light up recordings. One the best produced rock recordings of that decade with great song writing and talent.
Last show I seen with my late husband was Foghat. Was awesome. We couldn't see the band but they sounded amazing. It was a good day, wasn't many of those
So happy to see these '97 clips posted.....Rod's obesity notwithstanding, they look terrific - and Dave looks and sounds healthy. If you've seen the '99 clips, when he was fighting the cancer tooth and nail.....well, let's just say I'm grateful for these earlier tour clips. Though regardless of age or even infirmity, Dave was ALWAYS in great, brilliant voice - he needs to be 'rediscovered' by a new generation and take his deserved place among the great blues-rock vocalists of all time.
J'ai en tête le "FOGHAT LIVE" dans le stade de Bearsville NOIR de monde. Sûr qu'il y avait plus de 100 000 spectateurs. Quelle image, quel groupe, quel musique!!!!!!!!!
I met Dave in 95 & then years later met Dave's older brother and we talked for hours about the band over drinks and how I started following them at age 11. As we were talking at the Porch of the Winery, a train went by and I said maybe that was a sign from Dave..Rod's MesaBoogie Rectifier amp sound on this show really gives it a nice heavy modern crunch..Awesome !
these guys gave 100# every gig Dave was a real trooper do hope they don't get forgotten over the years we won't see the like again , also bravo Kim Simmonds still going awesome !!!
Lonesome Dave was the best. We really never seen him before videos or the internet, but when anyone said < LONESOME DAVE- you knew it was the lead singer for FOGHAT. The slide guitarist is the Best slide guitar in the world. Too bad their both gone. I under stand the slide guitarist fell down his house stairs in florida some years back. FOR all you young people- this is what bands were like in the 70's. They were all GREAT MUSICIANS. RH DSDE
Foghat rocked with their Blues based Rock! Lonesome Dave had that great voice and Rod played brilliant slide guitar 🎸. A Hard Rocking Band that always delivered the Goods live! RIP It’s crazy how many great Rockers are gone now. More great ones are gone than alive! If there’s a Rock Heaven they are burning it up!
First concert I was allowed to go to was Foghat and Montrose. 1975 at the Kiel auditorium in St. Louis. I paid 5.50 for the ticket. Both bands tore the place down. I had only heard them on the albums, I had no idea it could be like that!
Straight up, in your face, meltdown 70’s rock at its finest.
Rod Price, the most underrated slide guitarist ever. Speakers are still smoking.
Fucking SICK, isn't it?
I can tell they are playing loud.
It ain't over until it's over! One of the best boogie rock groups of all time. Keep on driving Foghat,!

Wow! Wow! Wow!
Nobody Rocked harder!!
Good Lord they still sound amazing!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
i'd almost forgotten how great these guys were....one of the best bands to ever step on a stage!!!!!...RIP Dave and Rod...
20 dollar ounce of weed, 3 quarts of beer for a dollar. 6 dollar concert ticket, those were the days .class of 75!!!!!!!!
‘76 here all true dude !
They don't make 'em like this anymore. RIP Lonesome and Rod.
Got that right!!!!!!!!!!!
These boys ROCKED!
I'm glad I grew up in the 70's, we had the best music!

I’ll second that amen, you got that right brother!!!’
What a great performance. Loved Foghat way back when. R.I.P. Lonesome Dave
Rod Price. The Slide Master. RIP Lonesome Dave too.
What a great band...
So fortunate to have grown up listening to Foghat in the 70's.
I still do ! ! Forever Foghat👍🎸🥁🎶🎵🔊🔊😃
One of the hardest working bands in rock.... It's a shame Dave & Rod are no longer with us...
R&R Hall of Fame doesn't deserve these guys...🤘😎🤘
I Love Foghat!
That man did a tremendous effort on the slide. Rod is flippin' in R&R heaven with Lonesome Dave.👍🏽✊🏽
No one could play slide like Rod Price. Simply the best! R.I.P. Rod and Dave. Gone too soon......
Had the pleasure of seeing them multiple times back in the 70's 🙏
Rod Pryce was the best slide player I have ever heard.
Rory Gallagher would haved loving to play along side Rod and vise versa
Rod was absolutely top notch!!

One of the best LIVE rock bands ever!
These guys and The WHO were the Best Live bands I ever saw!!
These boys kicked ass, they could blow anyone else off stage. RIP Dave and Rod.
So true. Saw them at the LA Forum around 1980 timeframe. Awesome show.
Why aren't these guys in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame? Rod Price, one of the most underrated slide players of all time.

The original Boogie Men. This band never gets old. I was fortunate enough to see them in the early to mid 70's. RIP Lonesome Dave and Rod The Bottle.
I smoked weed and downed beers with these dudes in the seventys and the ninetys!!!
saw them 5 times in the 70's and 80's...loved them every time
One of the hardest, if not the hardest workin' rock and roll band of all time. Saw them yearly back in the mid 70's early 80's. Fuckin' smokin'
One of the busiest touring acts ever. Used to do over 300 shows a year. I first saw them in 72. One of the greatest rock and boogie bands ever.

What a slide player Rod was! Fucking awesome.
