Thanks for the video, do you have any ideas how long the 16 battery count wud last without a solar panel? I'm sure it's also depending on how often you have the pics sent (no video) Thanks.
I ran it on the AA's alone and was actually quite surprised. It did very well. However there are a lot of variables. I only had my camera set to send twice a day. In addition this was during the warmer months.
I just bought a 2 pack and set them up in my house and had them both activated and taking pictures and sending to the app. Then i went and Set them up in the woods almost a full week ago on heavy trails and have yet to get pictures sent to the app. I'm getting concerned that somethings not right. The signal strength was good on one and fair on the other but neither are sending pictures and i know for a fact that deer, squirrels, racoons have been in front of that camera at some point in the last 6 days. Any suggestions? One of them sent pictures of me while setting it up immediately and the other one only took 1 pic of me while setting it up even though i walked by numerous times. BUT nothing since then.
Hmm, that's strange. I'd start by doing a factory reset then trying it again. If it's still acting up I'd contact Mouktrie Mobile, they are really good at diagnosing issues
Thanks for the review but wish you could have included some sample night and day pictures from the camera. Are you happy with the transmitted pictures?
Mine arrived today. Setup was easy. Signal strength is poor compared to my Tacticam Reveal when using in the same spot. Reveal would send the pic in 15 seconds or less. Edge sends it in a min. I can't find a way to adjust the flash setting? Is there just one? No high medium or low?
Thank you for uploading this video. I just bought one and am learning everything I can about it before taking it to the woods. Do you know by chance if it works OK with US Cellular plans?
as long as you have Verizon or AT&T service in the area you place the camera it will work. You dont need to add any plans or anyhting, it all goes through the app
I may have jumped the gun on my poor signal and long transmit time comment. Seems to be sending pictures fine now without too much of a delay. I noticed if you leave the camera door open and watch the lights it seems to always be searching for a good cell signal which I fear will severely deplete the batteries very quickly. I thought it would search for the strongest signal and stay with it. Looks like it searches for the best signal at each picture being taken.
that's interesting. I put mine out in my backyard where it will get the neighborhood deer almost every night. Pic quality looks pretty good, although after only a few days my battery is down to 72%, albeit with Alkaline batteries. I know that lithium's will do much better and ultimately an external or solar panel will be the best.
@@trailcamology Leave your camera door open as it's taking a picture and watch how the lights light up when it's searching for a signal during every picture being taken. I already have an external battery ready to go for my camera. Running it now on 8 AA batteries for testing purposes. AA batteries will be useless in this camera. I agree that the transmitted pictures look good for a cheap Chinese cell camera.
I really dislike the fact this camera doesn’t have a sd card slot. Not having the option to use as a regular camera is not a feature in my mind. Having to pay for every image off the camera is ridiculous to me.
If that is what you're looking for, this one just isn't for you. For my needs, it is the best cell cam on the market and it's $99... On our properties, only about 15% of the areas can get signal with a single provider cam. The Edge works EVERYWHERE.
@@BG-bx4ey never paid $20 for a good sd card. If it fits your needs that’s fine but this feature isn’t an upgrade. Your losing flexibility with your camera and happy about it.
@@bowhuntingforlife so just buy a regular trail camera then. There are thousands of different kinds, but for people who own/hunt property hours away from where they live this is awesome. Stupid to hate on a camera that doesn't do what you want when everyone knows there are tons of different cameras that do what you want.
Very slow trigger speed, battery hog, monthly fees on the high side. Better get a solar panel unless you want the change out 16 AA batteries once a month, which is just as bad as going to get your sim card out of other trail cams. Good idea, not so good execution.
Great video

I bought a double pack. How do i contect the 2nd one?
i have bought a moultrie mobile edge off of ebay but its missing the QR code scan any other way to connect it

Same here
Same here. I'm returning them
How did you add the second camera?
@@vhinkle3 similar to the first one. There should be a barcode to scan on the inside of the camera.
Mine works in my back yard but when I put it in the woods 10 miles away it won’t work at all. Says good signal but nothing. Any answers?

Is there a actual visual flash that can be seen by people? If so, is there a way that can be turned off?

definitely plan to do a follow up with sample pics soon. I got a few pics last night and they look very good
@@trailcamology Great. Looking forward to the sample pictures. I have an Edge on order.
Doesnt the solar panel need to be connected to a battery source and the battery runs the camera? OR does the solar panel run the camera?
a lot of solar panels have internal lithium batteries that they charge. If not, yes you must have a battery source

there is not an option to adjust the flash range on the Edge.
@@trailcamology Thank You.
So if you want to do video only, what’s the monthly cost ? Thanks
Good Question, I dont think they offer an option for video only

Man, i want to try one of these but i dont think my phone scans codes :( so i dont think i have anyway to activate it.
It's a function of the app not your phone. You're good to go.
@@redneckfarmer6584 oh ok, thank you sir. Im going to order one.
let us know what you think!!
Mine did not send picture in 3,6... also poor picture clearity
How long do you have to wait after a video request ? Next activation or 24 hrs ?
For the video to come through? Next activation

Seems like a really nice camera, especially for the price
so far, so good
they make up for it with the plan cost..no free plan..and starting plan 9 bucks...do the math...
