Thank you You are the only person anyway that I could find who explained how to use the K6 . I find it difficult to understand that Kingrinder do not issue proper instructions, it is very odd that they sell a great product but nothing more . Anyway thank you for explaining so well 🙏
I just brewed my first cups with my newly purchased K6 and trusty Dedica, so you posting this is such a coincidence to me. Really like your simplistic format btw. Good thing I opted for K6 since I'm more interested in that output compared to K4
@@crabbynebula I don't have a K4, but based on most reviews, K4 produces better body while K6 has better flavor clarity. It's up to you what you want. I'm already leaning for clarity and I also do pourover so the K6 was an easy choice for me
i have a k4 and had the same issues with static. after measuring my beans i spray them 2-3 times with water using a small spray bottle (from muji) and shake the beans before putting them into the k4. this reduced almost all of the grinds that get stuck at the top and there’s much less retention (almost the same amount of grams come out as i put in, 0.1g loss at most). i do not notice any difference in taste or pulls doing this with my dedicated ec885+unpressurized filter
I'm quite careful as to who I subscribe to because they become like mentors to me. You are good with words, smart and you explain things like a true master barista. Pleasure that I came across your channel. May I know where are you from? Edit: I saw that you're from Singapore. I'm from India. Planning to migrate to EU soon.
Please do work on camera viewing angles and there's some static in background, so maybe the microphone. Anyways... the content was great. I have a Gaggia classic pro with a PID mod and soon I'll make a dimmer mod.
Hello Its very helpful I really appreciated it I am a bit confused between (k6 and timemore c3esp ) What would you suggest I have a gaggia classic evo pro And my budget currently allows me to have either of them Thanks so much ❤
Very interesting indeed. Is there any way of mechanically adjust the zero point of the grinding scale on those grinders so that the "true" zero does coincide with the zero marked on the scale?
Hello, I also have the dedica ec685 model. When I put it in the single shot basket with 7 grams of espresso, I do not have any problems with the extraction, but when I put it in the 2 shot basket with 14 grams of espresso, the same situation happens to you and the coffee does not flow. It flows very little. By the way, I bought the espresso in powder form. I use the same espresso in both attempts. What do you think is the problem? Thank you very much in advance, your video is really informative.
I got the K4 to make espressos and when watching videos it seemed pretty easy to grind through. But I was very surprised at how hard it is to turn even at 90 clocks, I wouldn’t want to make more than 1 espresso a day with it. I am a woman and admit not much arm strength but I didn’t expect it to be this hard. My husband has more strength but still finds it tiresome. Will it get a bit easier once I I’ve “broken it in”? Thanks for this vid it really helped me dial in!
Great to hear! what is the roast level for your coffee beans? I will try to make another video soon to share with you how I make it easier to grind coffee on the manual hand grinder
No changes after ~1 year of breaking in (10 kilos- minimum). K4 user here. Already possess electric 83 flat burr grinder, but still enjoy the body of espresso from my kingrinder sometimes. Using 55+- setting for sweet spot of 1:2 at around 25sec JFYI for medium roast
Hi, which grinder is best for milk drinks like lattes and cappuccino? I am new to the coffee staff and i have no idea the difference between body and cleanliness. I just want silky smooth lattes 😅 I feel like i am in going down in a rabbit hole. I am confused.
DF64 witu stock italmil will be good enough for a good latte as it will give espresso of good body and texture and good for milk based drink. However you can also consider any other conical grinder within ur budget.
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore thank you so much for fastest reply. Unfortunately electric grinders to expensive for my budget. And only decent hand grinders are k4 or k6 available in Turkey. I was asking between k4 and k6. K4 is like 20 usd cheaper than k6. Should I go for k4?
Quite strange comaparision.. Good grinder review and then - extraction on pressured baskets, insensitive to How fine Coffee was ground.. No brew ratio and yield control.. Cannot believe that these drinks are pleasand
I have never used a pressurised basket before on my channel except my very early video on a very cheap Donglim 20 bars espresso maker from China. That is probably 6 or 7 years ago. In this video, the Dedica Arte comes stock with pressurised basket but i swap it out with my filter basket from the La Specisalista Arte using non-pressurised filter basket.
Thank you

so, k6 is better than k4 for espresso? (i also have the dedica)

@@crabbynebula 2 different espresso from the k4 and k6. k6 offers brighter and cleaner espreaso abd k4 makes heavier body espresso with more texture.
yeah i do agree with you if you use k6 for filtered coffee as well.

Definitely go for k6.
This is really helpful. Thanks for posting.

Not for the Kin grinder at the moment.

make it 13 grams instead
Have you used the K6 to grind coffee for an unpressurized machine? If so how many clicks for that?
Oh yes. I have forgotten but will try to record another video on that soon

You can use a drill with a 1/4" bit adapter to run the grinder instead of the handle if it's too tiresome manually.
@MrEunderwood thanks for the tips!
K6 vs z1presso which would be best for flair 58 and pour overs?
I will need to a model fro. 1zpresso that can be comparable to the k6 in terms of its grind range.
Hi CY. For grinding espresso, does the K4 grind faster than K6 but require more effort?
Hi i would say yes its slightly fastef but not very much. Both grind quite efficiently.
I'm looking at getting a K4 or K6.
15gms in, how many gms out at what seconds please?
I know the clicks will depend on my beans.
I will need to check again on the timing and grind size.
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore I'm only using a 685 dedica 😂😂😂
@mcsiva8 no prob with that. Is your basket pressurised or non pressurised?
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore non pressurized sir.
At 4:15 you describe the kind of pump the Delonghi has, but I couldn’t quite make out what type it has?

hi thanks for the video. Are you using a bottomless portafilter?
hi there thanks for watching and in this video i didnt use the bottomless portafilter but very soon i will be bringing in the bottomless for delonghi.
He used an aftermarket unpressurised basket but not a bottomless portafilter
The basket is from Delonghi.
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore is the la specialista one unpressurised?
@alinaqirizvi1441 yes it is but I can't remember whether it also comes with the pressurised basket as well.
