- Happy New Year everyone.
As 2020 hasn't been everyones cup of tea, we still feel blessed to have had our most sucesful year to date s a business. We have been reflecting on how we ended up at this point and some of it followed on from our Morocco Overland serise that in turn led us to explore the far north of Scandinavia. With the natural organic growth that followed we are as exited now about what we do as we were back in the early days.
We know what New Years day can be like at the best of times but just now with loads of COVID travel restrictions in place we did a re-edit of the video series that we owe so much to and have launched a single feature length production for you to watch from start to finish.
So grab a beer and the last of your mince pies as you can sit down and tune in as we more into Explorer mode.

Be brave Craig and do it in one hit ;)
Having just finished watching the Moroccan trip, I,m straight into the Nordic adventure, now I see the link to the purchase of the Managon which I had the pleasure of looking round at the Volksworld show a couple of years back, also a quick chat with yourself at Busfest the previous year. What a great video this is to add to your You Tube channel, full of inspiration for a future trip that I have been thinking about doing myself for some time. Thanks for uploading this feature length episode. Happy New Year to you and your family. Al
Thanks Al. Come and see me for a beer after work hours at the shows this year where we end up camping up at. I always have beers in the fridge.

Jed Lou and Isaac love you Greg.
Fantastic family, amazing footage. Greetings from Texas..
Really enjoyed the whole wideo. Seen many of these places. I guess many viewers would benefit from a textstrip giving the name of the plays you visit.
Wow, when we were at that glacier 10 years ago the ice was going down all the way into the pond. Pretty sad.
Yeah, not many years until its completely gone..
Beautiful “where’s the fishing pole dad” 🎣😜

3:48 top gear shirt, NICE
Yes wood stock man let's wash are dishes in lemon juice and grow tomatoes in van window
if you want to see elk you have to get up early as they are usually easiest to see in the morning my familiew and I had an older home we made into a holiday house for the whole family it was in Karlstoppen and when we got up at 05.00 the time was always there elk out in the garden so by that time there are probably most
Hi Benny. Yes someone told me this today actually. I will keep hissing mind for next time. Thanks for the heads up.
Jed
Happy New Year to you and your lovely family! That was an enjoyable 2:17:51 video, my first of your adventures. I'm an overland camper living in Virginia. I served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force and was fortunate to have been stationed in the UK twice with a one year break on the Oregon coastline, three years in Germany and two years in Turkey and Saudi Arabia. My wife then and three children were born in Chelmsford. After watching your video I kick myself in the ass for passing up a VW Westfalia camper to tour and camp. We hauled a small trailer full of camping gear with our car. I spent a weekend in Copenhagen and enjoyed it. I wished we had toured Scandinavia. We always gravitated to warmer climates in the south of France and Spain's Costa Brava. My wife and children loved the sunny beaches. Anyway, I noticed your camel figures hanging in your van and thought you must have picked them up in Morocco as I did mine (long gone now). I loved my visits in North Africa except the short time spent in Libya. I subscribed and will follow you on past and future adventures. BTW my English neighbor in Haverhill helped me get started into match fishing. I was a trout fisherman prior to that. I eventually won two tournaments. More importantly, I made some wonderful friendships. The English countryside is magnificent. Thank you for sharing this epic adventure. Be safe.
Those berries are everywhere man well on moorlands and they make a cracking cough syrup with that's in a awesome book called "a year with james Wong grow your own drugs" but bilberries are essentially European blueberry's so they're awesome with pancakes/in muffins
Truly the best thing ever. Thanks for watching Dave, you rock.
Jed
Cheers, I know this was posted 2 yrs back so not sure if you’ll see this. I’m a customer from the States and loves your gear but also your video travels. A question what model Waeco 12 volt fridge are you using ? Happy with it ? Also I love your travel stove, who makes that ? Thanks and thanks for all your great gear you carry that I too get to enjoy using. Joe K. Port Townsend, USA
Really enjoyed this. Like your camp chairs and stove. Do you sell them?
Here are the chairs Russell campervanculture.com/shop/folding-safari-camping-chair/
Is there a place to get the cap you are wearing? The one with the differential lock lights on it. Thanks.
Pretty sure this is the first time I've seen someone eat cereal and drive their Westy. Nice rig. Another $60k ride.
less annoying music would get a thumbs up!!!
Harsh but true.
Jed
What about fishing? Any available, would one need license?
Nice, what engine do u have pls?
Really enjoyed your video. What time of year were you in the Artic Circle?
I believe it was July/August
Jed
Looks like you need a drone camera ;-)
What was the name of the wooden game you were playing?
How do you heat the water for your van showers?
Hi, i'm from sweden and really interested in finding the guys with all the T3:s. any chance you could help me out?
Looks like fun, also cool to watch the music is absolutely horrible gag me !!!
What spares did you take Jed?
I had a look at your Arctic circle trip. thoroughly enjoyed it. do i hear a diesel engine in your Syncro van?? if so where can i get a 4 cylinder Boxer type diesel engine that i can swap to my current T3 van? Eddie
The engine we have is an AFN 1.9 TDI conversion. We love it but the gear box hates it ;)
Thanks for the kind comment.
Jed
@@CampervanCulture.com-Official Long live the VW TDI, especially the PD being my favourite! - I do have a spare PD130 and the ECU in the CItroen is a bosch edc15... tempting. lol

Edmund and Tenzing Norgay, whose cousin actually lives in my village...
The couple who were picking the berries Chris?
Jed
@@CampervanCulture.com-Official No, the ones who climbed Everest..wasn't trying to be a smartass, just had to reply. The couple picking the berries were probably called Axel and Elsa Gustafsson but that would just be wild guess! Great upload by the way. ;-)

I have a tip for all UA-camrs to lower the music it should not be louder than other sounds such as talk / dialogue. It becomes much more comfortable for the viewer not to constantly hold on and adjust the volume.
Totally agree and to much of it
Sorry, I will try harder next time.
@@Glyn69 Apologies.. I always make these videos when I have some beers so always have my party head on. I appreciate the feedback and will try harder next time. Thanks for watching.
Jed
It was absolutely fine with Red Earth and Pouring Rain ;-)
Jed I love this video and want to do the trip in my T25
Was the route planned?
Only as far as we would be away for 6 weeks and would be heading north.
Rule No1, no No2s
Hi Jed, which Grillbumper is it at the front? Couldn't find it in your shop. Thank you!
H Manuel. That one was imported from Australia. It's name is a roo bar and is designed to repel Kangaroos. I like it because it is kind of ugly but it is made 100% from aluminium so very light weight but still very strong.
I hope this helps.
Jed
Thank you very much! That was fast :)
Can't wait till the Rocky Mountain Swing Away Folding Shelf is in stock 😜 i will buy it for both sides. Do you have any informations? I prepare my T3 for an overland journey around the whole globe 🌍
@@manuellippert7797 Well there is some good news if you check in on our social media (Facebook etc..) We are now producing our own Swing Out carriers so we can supply people all the time as they are made in our own new fabrication shop. Shipping for this new range will start mid way through next month.
Jed
That's great!
Will there also be a shelf or folding shelf for the mounting of a box? And is there a fixing point at thr swing carrier when it is put to the sides?
Does anyone drive a LHD in the uk? I really want to eat a Syncro basically exactly like this one but can’t find RDH
There are as many RHD vans in the UK. You just need to know where to look for the.
10x
Cheers,
Jed
Poor people, don't know what the wildlife is,how real forest blueberries are tested)))
hi
Did you like Pirkka beer ? 🍺🇫🇮
I am not fussy ;)
@@CampervanCulture.com-Official 😂
Huh? You are real people?
And because they’re not North Americans “pitching up” as you say it , there’s not garbage everywhere , yes ? I suppose it’s those who’ve gone to the effort to get their butts over there that wouldn’t dare not do their part and burn their plastics rather than chucking them in the river like good nature-lovers . I wish I were kidding . Too , I’m surrounded by some of the most wild , most gorgeous wilderness in the U.S. - Pacific Northwest , Olympic Mountain range about 30mins drive just west and the North Cascades across the Straight of Juan de Fuca to the east . And one can’t camp anywhere for less than 25$ a night . And then you’re surrounded by hair dryers , TVs and radios blaring . Unless you hike up into the alpine areas . But they’ve been discovered . AND - (though the Nat. Parks Dept. won’t tell you) we’ve got a quite terrifying occurrence of unexplainable “missing” . Been happening on your side of the pond as well - so it’s not predation there either . Spooky . Search and rescue dogs that are lead to the last place someone was seen and they cower , whimper and walk backwards. Refusing to go further . Forgive the darkness and negativity while viewing this epic and happy footage . I just REALLY miss the wild . But you couldn’t pay me to take a day hike out here now . Not for love nor money . I’m even thinking if selling my beloved VW Vanagon ! Vicariously I enjoy it , thanks to you and your beautiful family . Thanks !
