I’m so use to his voice narrating this completely threw me off. Just didn’t get vibe from this one like I do the others. Still an amazing video but I hope he doesn’t continue. He’s like the Morgan Freeman for narrating his videos.
This is Minnesota Mike checking in again can't thank you guys enough for helping me with my mental health and living through you guys and your adventure keeps me grounded and going many thanks
It's the latest youtube fad. UA-cam tells the creators to jump, and they jump trying to chase the algorithm. Ever notice that every channel shows you them eating, cooking, and chewing? Next thing you know, they'll be a second channel.
Watching your overlanding trip is like being on an adventure of my own! The way you navigated those tough trails and found such beautiful spots is truly inspiring. Looks like the ultimate playground for explorers, and your storytelling brings it to life.
Okay so I’m 62 and a widow. My days of this kind of glory are over. I loved your camera angles and what I perceived as honest dialogue. The first several comments I read sounded so judgy. Wtf. Be nice. I really enjoyed your photography and dialogue.
Im 63, disabled and also a widower and still do this only w/o a 2nd vehicle which is pretty stupid. I grew up running thru Capital Forest, the Olympics and Southern part of the Cascades around St. Helens and Mt. Adams. We use to take. Skok valley up to Camp Govey, upto Spider Lake over to Wynoochee and North up to Donkey Creek and only hit 15 miles of Highway between Shelton and Lake Quinault. I know where these guys were and two very similar roads up there also. I pick mushrooms and I was the only vehicle those roads had seen in some time. Good cable, sharp chainsaw and a high lift jack are a must. Those sections driving through grown over brush with a serious drop are sketchy as Hell but really make you feel alive until youre not...lol.
Awww… this brings back fun memories of Sunday afternoon drives on the logging roads up in the Olympics. The scariest were when we met logging trucks. There was no getting around them. You had to back your way out.
Awesome video as always Shaun. This was an epic adventure you find the most epic places to explore and the best campsites. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
Grizzly bears, Polar bears, Sasquatch. Being in Tuk and seeing Brad with that Dometic cooler hanging out.. Probably why the locals were surprised.. "Fresh New Meat" Hahaha!
Yes I know where this is, my favorite camp spot. A few years back a Lama and two alpacas escaped their owners and went wild, living in the area together. I have not seen them in years.
Yet possibly annoyed the hell out of people hiking . He is not in the National park btw, he is in the national Forest, there are no logging roads in the park.....yet. Hopefully there will never be another road built here, it is too beautiful for cars and trucks. It is a place to hike.
Embarking on a dangerous overland adventure in the Olympic Mountains must have been thrilling and challenging! Your journey through such rugged terrain is truly inspiring. Thanks for sharing this exhilarating experience.
I thought I saw you rolling through my hometown. Glad you had a good time in my ol' stomping grounds thus far. I will never grow tired of adventuring around the Olympics. Been doing so since I was a kid. I actually recall that road, went through there ages ago in an 87' Suzuki Samurai. One day I will be able to start adventuring again.
@@jeeplife253 I have not. However, I took a peek at google maps and it shows NF-5524 passes perhaps 100 feet from the Haven lake. Unless you are thinking of a different lake.
A chain saw to clear some of those logs, a shovel and a little effort to fill in a few washes and a machete to clear some branches would have gone along way in a few of those spots, but nothing those rigs couldn't handle. Great trail, great views and awesome rigs, looks like a great way to spend a weekend.
I LOVE some of the contrast you used in this one! I'm not sure how much of that was by design or just by my own awareness this time around. Either way, well done as always sir!
I went up to the Olympic Mountains last year, ran into a trail that just ended with crazy steep embankments on both sides and no where to turn around. Having to drive in reverse in the steep gradient was stressful, I could smell my brakes. 😂 Luckily after about 20 minutes I found a place to properly turn around and drive forward. It was absolutely gorgeous though!
I think the biggest issue with the narration was the break up between it and you. Like two different people telling the story if that makes sense. I kinda dig it in some aspects though. The whole western explorer type thing is fun. Great video!
OMG so so so great!! The views, the cooking! the coffeeeeeee! Playing around with a different voice over was fun, but just so you know, you have a very soothing voice over. You could make a living narrating, lol, or doing audio books, really though. More camping and cooking footage, would be so awesome!
Shaun this is an amazing Video.. The Drone work and Filming was excellent.. Both the Bronco and Trail Destroyer Handler the Terrain with Ease What Beautiful Scenery
This exact situation, same route, same circumstance happened with my wife and kids and I almost 3 years ago. I’m pretty sure we camped on the river in the exact same location as you on night one, then took a path across the mountain. It started as a nice FSR, but before we knew it, turn offs were gone, road narrowed, trees and brush in the road completely obscured our visibility. It just got more and more stressful. We were pulling a Boreas trailer behind our JKU so turning around was never an option. We got to that same ridge but the rock slide was fresh at that point. I walked it to test it out, and we decided to cross it as quickly as we could. We were eager to find a camp and get off the mountain and were lucky that there was a spot and Sol Duc for a single night. Very stressful, but a memory for a lifetime. I just kept laughing during your video because it all happened to us too so I knew what was coming. Great video, great story telling.
Fantastic!! I enjoyed that very much. Threw in some cool narration voice too, sounds great. I'm with David on the heights issue, I'd be scary sh!tless in a few of those spots. Great job guys!
Man that looks like a fun road. I may have to find it this summer. I'd love to pull out a trout from the hole near the last campsite. I appreciate you trying new things such as the narration!
I love your content, especially the vids from the Sunshine Coast (my backyard) I recently got a 2000 Xterra (rebuilding it pretty much) and had been planning to head to the bible camp you visited !
Another awesome video. It looks like a great adventure. I’m honestly impressed with what the Bronco was able to do. I’m not sure how I feel about the narrator voice. You have such a great voice, I honestly prefer hearing your voice doing the narration.
Hi Sean. Another top class piece of video entertainment. The music, audio, sound mixing, videography, drone flying and footage, its all top drawer and made for a fantastic episode. I loved it. Thankyou so much for sharing. Oh, and PS - I liked the narration, it was something different and unusual. :-)
Sean, I bumped into the exact same rock on my OP excursion one year ago. Unfortunately, no one had built the bypass yet. Ironically, I ended coming in from the other side a couple days later. So I didn’t miss anything.
i've been watching overlanding - rock crawling UA-cam channels since 2020 ( like most people !!) . been a sub of yours going on 4+ years, love the content especially stuff like this-snow stuff and the most recent Alaska with Brad . i always thought Canadians are crazy until UA-cam algorithm introduced me to an Australian channel over the 4th weekend . y'all are tame compared to the Aussies LOL
Merch now available at www.tstn.shop ❤
The narration was strange for me, i prefer without personally. Love the video! And all the videos.. hahah
I’m so use to his voice narrating this completely threw me off. Just didn’t get vibe from this one like I do the others. Still an amazing video but I hope he doesn’t continue. He’s like the Morgan Freeman for narrating his videos.
Agreed! Definitely prefer Shaun’s voice :)
I have been seeing other channels using this same AI voice. It takes a lot away when you know its generic.
@@levioneill5388 If
Shaun can AI his own voice!
It’s awful. At first I thought it was a gag but the punchline never came.
Definitely a little better without the narration but still a awesome video . The drone shots are on point
DEFINITELY
The narration isn't bad at all. It's very different. Not what we are used to 😆 the trail looks awesome!
I kinda like the narration haha.
Just having some fun. 🤟🏻
Agree. 3f stops creepy. LOL

This video is a masterpiece. Took me right out of my tough day and transported me to a very remote place and took my mind away from everything.
How you don’t have millions of view your videos are just incredible
The narration makes me laugh, and I know that is the intention. It's a western narration style and it kicks ass.
I liked the old time narration voice
I just imagine it's the vehicle talking.
Or was it?
It's the latest youtube fad. UA-cam tells the creators to jump, and they jump trying to chase the algorithm. Ever notice that every channel shows you them eating, cooking, and chewing? Next thing you know, they'll be a second channel.
Your own narration is better than the new. Just my 2 bits
Watching your overlanding trip is like being on an adventure of my own! The way you navigated those tough trails and found such beautiful spots is truly inspiring. Looks like the ultimate playground for explorers, and your storytelling brings it to life.
Thank you for not telling your location. In my opinion, social media has been terrible for places like this. There are no secret trails anymore.
Absolutely!🤘
LOVE the Narration!!! Gives an old school pioneer exploring vibe

Grew up in the area, running around on roads even more primitive, back in the '80's. Great fun.
Another legendary video in every sense of the word. We enjoy watching you with my 3-month-old son. But my eyes searched for my brother Bruce
Wow! That’s dense forest, I was waiting for Sasquatch to make an appearance. Beautiful cinematography, thank you for sharing your scary weekend.
David doesn’t like being called big foot but he was there.

For what it's worth, I loved the narration.
The first night spot is one of our favorites for a quick stop when we are up that way.
You gotta love the Olympics! There is no place I'd rather be!
This trail is awesome, a little bit of everything. ❤

You ever make your way up to haven lake in the olympics? Been trying to find a way to jeep in, instead of hiking in
@@jeeplife253 I have not. However, I took a peek at google maps and it shows NF-5524 passes perhaps 100 feet from the Haven lake. Unless you are thinking of a different lake.

The voice over was great, you need Sam Elliot to do that Shaun. Its good to see David push his limits a bit. All in all that was a good video.

Can't stop loving your videos..!! Very cinematically shot...
Love the Olympics. Sure are blessed with some beautiful country here. Great video
Yep I love 4wheeling in my 1983 Ford Ranger - brush scratches on the side and roof but slim enough to travel quad trails 🤪
What fun! Your narration sounds like your reading an old fashion detective novel. Thank you for sharing the journey.
Great to see you out there with David hammering some trails with some epic camp spots on the water! Especially the last one! 👍
I was born and raised in the pnw it's fun seeing and knowing all the places you have gone here
Derry but majestic Washington landscape to wheel through. Looks like wet soggy FUN with rock sliders!
I think the biggest issue with the narration was the break up between it and you. Like two different people telling the story if that makes sense. I kinda dig it in some aspects though. The whole western explorer type thing is fun. Great video!
The narrations were what through me off but the videography is still awesome. Keep up the great work. Love seeing new videos from you.
Literally our backyard! Been on that trail that crosses the rock slide and that camp spot at the end is one of our favorites out here! Good stuff!
What trail is that?

You got some good places. It's even better north of Grisdale...
I have traveled all over the Olympics and I have never heard that narrator, and thats the way I like it.
Amazing overland of the cottonwood boat launch on the hoh. Good thing you had 44s and your buddies gifts to get you through

The narration almost reminds me of the narrator from Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel. Love the video as always Shaun!
