Now that you mentioned it I think a collab video between you and JB outside would be awesome. With all bags manufacturers and eg. carryology doing collabs bag UA-camrs should too 😄
Great review. No shame in being a fanboy. I had two Ruckers I gave away to friends, they use them daily. I have two GR1 26, and one 21. The 21 definitely gets used the most. For work I usually use my saddleback bags. Still waiting on the Modern Dayfarer and Bexar bags.
Thanks George! When I got back into EDC and packs, this GR1 21L Dyneema was the second pack I purchased (after the Evergoods PCL20). I love it and don't regret it one bit. I'll never sell mine. I also agree that you really feel the lighter weight of the pack. For me, it's also my travel bag (I pack light). Thanks for the review!
I travel internationally a lot. Currently on vacation in Japan and So Korea. My GORUCK Dyneema bags are excellent kit. I’m using Dyneema Bullet 15L and it’s perfect. My GR1 Dyneema went to Finland and was a beast. No issues with zippers. Thanks for reviewing the bag.
Great review, I just received the 15L Bullet in the Dyneema. I have got to say that your microphone totally exaggerates the noise from the bag. This Dyneema is not anything near as noisy as what your microphone is picking up. For me, this is by far the best Bullet to date, as much as I like X-Pac, I prefer this bag over the X-Pac Bullet. The bag is just slightly crinkly and noisy, not bothersome at all. My only wish was that they had used Aquaguard zippers and some MOLLE on the inside back panel, but my Grey Man Tactical RMP resolves that issue for the lack of MOLLE.
As usual, Awesome video. I have 5 Goruck bags (10L 2 15Ls 16L and my first GR1 for Xmas, 21L tiger stripe) I LOVE them all. My next Goruck purchase will be the 32L Kit Bag V2. And I’m eyeballing the 21L M23 lol. I saw your review on that one and like you I was alarmed at the wear on the outside bottom of the bag. I might wait on a cordura version of the M23 or a thicker update on the bottom of that bag. And YES, I am also an unabashed proud fanboy of the brand.
I'd love a version of Dyneema that was silent or at least quieter. 😂 Seems pointless having silent zip pulls! At least you can hear someone trying to get into your bag.
Great review thanks just getting into Rucking and I also want a bag I can take on short trips wife always throws my stuff in weird and hard to get places ROFL. Thinking the GoRuck long range on sale too.
I bought and sold different material versions of gr1 and gr2. My absolute favorites are the OG beat-up/used 1000D,so its super soft. it's really malable, not super rigid, at the same time super tough. Its slim down when underpack. I really regret that i sold it.
You can find second-hand ones all over for half the cost of the new ones. I have several GoRuck products and have never bought them new. Even the original all-over 1000D ones (not the 200D backpanel)
Nice review! Please tell me where did you get the AR pouch from!!!! I love my Dyneema GR1. I’m a proud fanboy as well, why not. Bought an OG GR1 back in 2009 and $400 was ludicrous for a “backpack” back then….after multiple deployments and world travel, I still own it and it’s buttery soft now but just as strong. I bought my girls GR1s in high school and they used them through college and still going. It brings great joy when they show up to the house with it. The packs are def worth it ten fold.
Similar story-have an OG tan GR1 26l for everyday rucking. Been all over the world. Now it stays at home with a 35lb plate in it. 21 Dyneema the current EDC.
Mega brains around the GORUCK design table... "Folks how do we make our already indestructible pack more indestructible"... Dyneema "Hold my beer" Looking good brother. I hope you're well
IMHO, The zippers can be a little tight around the corners, the lining is not a durable on these dyneema versions so I'm not sure about using it for rucking. Dyneema will soften a bit over time. Other than that it's all good.
I have had a love hate relationship with the GR1. You gave me the ideas to fix my hate. The sunglass case and water bottle holder attached via mollie is the solution to my complaints. Thank you sir
Scars repairs have been really poor for many years, just go to a local tailor. Save the shipping costs. And if you're not using scars, might as well go with a cheaper bag from another great company.
Agreed. Goruck fans swear by the bags for traveling but I have a North Face basecamp duffel bag that I bought on sale that costs 1/3 the price of a GR bag. The NF duffel is an absolute tank and I've put it through every element out there while camping. NF also has a lifetime warranty.
@@PanaMaJwaaRd It’s inferior in strength and durability. That is an objective fact. They’re equal in water resistance and I don’t mind the crinkle. @@j.taveras8447 ultra is not noisier than the dyneema. If anything, the dyneema is very obsolete now that ultra is out. I think dyneema now sits in very very very precarious spot just like vx. Id take ultra **** if i had to choose out of the 3 in terms of str, lookks, and noise.

Love the weight savings on my Dyneema. Makes my 20 lb ruck plate feel like only 19.6 lb

GoRuck fan girl here…my daughter, too, and she’s only eleven.
Great videos as always❤
A nice looking bag👌🏾. Like the way you have organized the inside. What case is it for the sunglasses
That looks awesome. I have the GoRuck Bullet. Maybe one day I’ll make the jump to the GR1!

The M23 has terrific layout and quality. Maybe the ripstop version might suit you?

I do honestly believe that if mystery ranch will release the 2 DAP in VX 50 and we have a winner!!! More versatile. Just my opinion

I have several goruck packs. Looking for a new edc for work. Between this and a black heritage. CANT DECIDE!
The Dyneema is for every day, the Cordura one becomes the truck/get home bag. Keep both!
1000D / 210 26LGR1 is my favorite. I'm kicking around getting a Bullet. Dyneema or Heritage.
Gotta come down to the deep south. Go fishing in TN, MS, and Al. We have a lot of lakes and rivers. Maybe throw a hog hunt and bbq.

Great content, what are your thoughts on the X pac vs Eco pak? The game is changing and I haven’t made a decision on what is the go to fabric…
Hey George. Do you prefer it to the heritage?
Love Goruck just don’t have the cash for the fancy versions. What are some scars upgrades you might consider for your GR1?
Maybe a keychain loop if they still do that.
Keep both!
Great review. Have you played with the vertex ardness holiday pack. Thinking on getting that one.

It is.

I like xpac... So dont get me wrong. But that dynemma sounds like cereal liner material lol. I think cordura where its at
Xpac is inferior to Dyneema. Now between 1000D and Dyneema there are pros cons for each. I have both and use them according to my needs.
