@FlyoverGroup I love his videos and he seems trustworthy and relatable in my opinion.. I'm just getting to the point where I don't feel like I need anything new and frankly can't justify buying anything.
It is nuts. People have issues with the drone flying off never to be seen again when they use a controller for it. Just imagine the look of disappointment on their faces :)
2025. I would love to see a comparison video about EDC pliers/multitools that don’t include a knife for EDC. Looking forward to more content though. I’ve enjoyed watching everything you’ve made this year. Love the Amazon hauls and top EDC/gear the most. All the best
Gteat video as always. Your channel is on a short list of ones that I watch whenever a new video comes out - and in fact you were one of the channels I watched before starting my own...
The Nitecore MagSafe powerbank does not support Qi2 so with an iPhone it will be a slow charging speed of 7,5W 😕. For the same charging speed you could get at half the price the Sharge Carbonmag 5K with Qi or the Carbonmag 10K with Qi2 support.
Thanks for the feedback - I'll check on this as Nitecore say it can charge up to 15w using Qi standard - could be ambiguous as I assumed that would mean Qi2 - I will find out and aim to update this comment.
Thanks for creating all the content over the last few years. I think customised EDC might be an interesting topic... just made some custom scales for my Compact and was curious what others are doing with their EDC
I'm with you on this. I did a corkscrew to phillips swap on my vic waiter to make it an apprentice. I also modified the scales to take a retractable 58mm pen. Perfect minimal pocket knife for me. Lives in a leather bic case on my keychain to protect the scales and slides out for unencumbered use
I appreciate this comprehensive review. While many of the products assessed are not part of my regular workflow, I would like to offer feedback on the Bellroy Transit Work Bag. It is an exceptional bag; the design is aesthetically pleasing, the back panel is breathable and comfortable, and the padded straps provide excellent support. The quick-access side pocket is a particularly clever feature. The clamshell opening of the main compartment is spacious enough for a two-to-three-day trip. My only reservation is the placement of the water bottle holder on the left side, which is inconvenient given my preference to carry the bag on my right shoulder.
Jon's reviews are great and to top it off I always save a few bob, Bellroy backpack and the Stanley vice were this months toys for me .......but the dji looks fun
2025 possibly some more affordable items. Saying that your videos are and really informative. I find myself looking back at some when building little kits. That lamp certainly is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship!
I love watching JG's videos and keep in touch with new gadgets that become available. I did buy quite a few of his recommendations; and was horrified to discover how expensive some of them are. Again it was all about want more than need and so have restricted my purchases. There is a reason why the word influencer is used I guess as I am easily influenced and excited about gadgets. But enough of flashlights for now. I wonder if John sells off his out of date gadgets.
Thank you for another excellent video. I would like to see flashlights that are smaller, minimalist, but still are USB-C chargeable. Very few features except casting a bit of light when you need it.
I recently bought the Petromax with optional reflector for just over €250. For once I actually made use of Black Friday deals as I also got a Big Agnes Copper Spur tent, a Zenbivy sleep system and a couple of Kilosgear sleeping pads. So an expensive month 😂😂😂
Was going to comment that your links weren't working, not realizing I had to wait 10 seconds for the redirect. Tried multiple times before realizing that.
Interesting and worth watching as usual. I'd suggest including comparisons with certain types of items, not in this video, obviously, as it is one of each. But generally, if you show eg the Belroy rucksack, show others as well. There are plenty which are nearly as good for much less.
2025: A great video to end the year, so thanks. For the new year, I love the mix of tech and practical gear you bring to the show, not that I would necessarily need or buy everything, but that's not the point, from the comments it seems others have, which is great. I have bought quite a few items you've showcased and if I was a lightweight air traveller, I'd have bought quite a lot more, but many items have found their way into other people's presents. So, more of the same please. Have a great Christmas 🎄. 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦🇮🇪
2025 - carriable First aid, edc. Medi chains, pill dispensers. If I go on an outing, need to patch up a child from use of a small carrier in my rucsac. You get the idea.
I would that DJI nano to monitor my neighborhood. So,etc,es there is law enforcement activity around my house and what better way to be nosey yet not get in the way lol. Also I like to go shooting and off roading with my Taco,a, so it would be very useful.
Each of us has different needs, budgets, interests, tastes, and values. The thing is there are definitely certain commonalities to EDC. I really like that Jon went right into his current _EDC_Bag_; however, that Orange Bag looks too flimsy and it strikes me as hideous. I've been using The Northface and Maxpedition for a couple of decades now. Due to an shoulder messed up by arthritis these days I've been looking for alternative Sling Bags with a capacity of at least 15 Liters and a very good admin section and a padded iPad/Tablet/Laptop section. My Medium "Complete" EDC Kit is about 2.5 Liters, leaving room for whatever else I expect to need on a given day. We may not agree with Jon's choices, he provides us with his fundamental views of EDC, Kits and Tool as well as what may be available to get tools, make kits, and what to carry our "stuff" in. 😊
Oh yeah, even though that bag looks too flimsy, if I saw it in a store I would examine it more than something random and might ask if it came in Earth Tones or Black. 😳
Unfortunately, I still have some older devices that use micro-USB connectors - small camera, small flashlights, etc. So any charging product without a micro-USB is not a useful solution for me.
Lots of great stuff here as always, but the irritating clicky toy that costs more than the high tech self flying camera??? Yeesh, these EDC people are out of control.
I'm never inclined to buy anything this guy recommends, and yet I watch this with interest, and regularly
Same! 😂
I on the other hand have spent way to much money watching his videos.
@FlyoverGroup I love his videos and he seems trustworthy and relatable in my opinion.. I'm just getting to the point where I don't feel like I need anything new and frankly can't justify buying anything.
Same. I just like knowing what exists.
I could never afford to buy anything this guy recommends, and get I watch this with envy, and regularly!
Every time I watch one of these videos, it costs me money.
that drone is just nuts, i admit i havent kept up with tech, but thats straight outta sci-fi movie for me.
It is nuts. People have issues with the drone flying off never to be seen again when they use a controller for it. Just imagine the look of disappointment on their faces :)
my bottom line, zero cn drone
@@JonasRosenven but i bet the video will be interesting to watch!
2025 - I love kits. Your kits have helped me be more prepared. I can't think of a specific kit at the moment.
Good to know - thanks 👍

Watch your videos all the time, have bought items because of you..youre awesome jon
Do you think he kinda looks like Anthony Hopkins? Just curious. I do. Pretty sure the accent helps.
Really kind thank you 😊
What was the sling bag you were using in the demo videos?
Love your videos Jon, happy holidays!
Same to you! 👍
The Petromax lamp is absolutely and amazing piece of engineering. It's worth buying it just as a piece of showcase craftmanship.
That's wha I thought 😁
Got the Nitecore EDC29 myself. Highly recommend it , well made and some great features. Possibly the best all round flashlight I’ve owned !
Great to hear!
Many tks for the info could you do a low budget top 10

@ it can charge at 15W but not an iPhone 🫤

Great suggestion - all check out Felix Immler - interesting 3D printed scales!
Wow love the lamp! WANT
😊 I know!

That lamp at the end is a real beaty. I might buy one.
I’ve attempted to buy items discussed on this channel, but when I go to purchase them, my bank account argues with me.
😆
What is the bag in video 11:02?
Great video as always. For 2025 it will be interesting to see the gear you use to make your videos.
Jon's reviews are great and to top it off I always save a few bob, Bellroy backpack and the Stanley vice were this months toys for me .......but the dji looks fun

The dji camera is amazing

Check out the budget content!

Almost skipped thru the drone section and glad I didn’t. Finally something I can use..
For the InCharge I hate the fact the lightning cable is the first one considering Apple has started using usb C
Flying camera might come in handy for me. Cheers for the recommendation.
I recently bought the Petromax with optional reflector for just over €250. For once I actually made use of Black Friday deals as I also got a Big Agnes Copper Spur tent, a Zenbivy sleep system and a couple of Kilosgear sleeping pads. So an expensive month 😂😂😂
Very! Nice though 👍

I did n't know that - might be traffic issues as not heard that before - will check it out 👍
Yay, another Jon Gadget video! I love your content, cheers!❤

Sometimes I will compare - sometimes I research an item to death and then purchase and explain reasons for purchase
2025 home storage for all our favorite EDC things.

thanks for the feedback - appreciated - have a great Christmas too
WHose blue light glasses are you wearing?
Mr Leight
Hi there. I'm not positive but I don't think you are supposed to handle the mantle/light gauze on the lantern.
not sure when unused - you might be right though - however once first lit it goes hard and you def can't mess with it then.
Any idea if that flying camera (won't say the d word here) is legal in the US?
I think so - but check local laws - always need to be mindful of location ie. privacy, people, dangers, restricted areas etc.
Thank you
Relatively new to the channel and read my mind. Any discount codes?
Some included with the links if available 👍
@JonGadget Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
2025, LEP torches please, I like the Acebeam Terminator M1, but have absolutely no use for it lol.
yes - that's the issue with LEP - Fenix have a new one coming with combined beam that looks good
The DJI Neo is discounted to £120 in Argos. Not much stock left.
2025 - carriable First aid, edc. Medi chains, pill dispensers. If I go on an outing, need to patch up a child from use of a small carrier in my rucsac. You get the idea.
Oh and merry Christmas. Wishing you well for next year.
good stuff - thanks
Merry Christmas to you too 🙏
It seems to me that torches aka flashlight with today's technology they should double as a power bank. Btw I think you look better in the 507.
A lot do 👍 - thanks for feedback on 507 🙏
I would that DJI nano to monitor my neighborhood. So,etc,es there is law enforcement activity around my house and what better way to be nosey yet not get in the way lol. Also I like to go shooting and off roading with my Taco,a, so it would be very useful.
Looks like dji copies the ui of that other folding drone you showed us before
yes - Hoverair were def there first - they also now have some very impressive options but $500+ so DJI for the price can't be beaten

check out InCharge X as keyring cable if it appeals (emergency use only I would say as Micro USB option not very secure)
I agree with you Jon…Kangol 507 looks much better on you. 😊
Hi Jon
Would the dji neo be allowed on a cruise ship? Would it work or crash into the sea? Thoughts and thanks!
Thanks for another year of great content and for 2025 more of the same 👍😀
Another video that might well cost me a fortune!!
The only negative I might offer is: A left nostril hair trim. 🙈
I usually check that! - apologies 😬
2025: Jon $xx kits vs. Jamie $xx kits!
nice one - thank you 👍
@JonGadget thank you for all the reviews! And happy holidays!
👌👏
🙏
Are you and Jamie not doing a budget head to head
£230 for a 20 litre rucksack lol.
this one's not about value - more about practical benefits - not for everyone
@ definitely not about value, I agree lol
Are you being sponsored by one of these brands???
Lots of great stuff here as always, but the irritating clicky toy that costs more than the high tech self flying camera??? Yeesh, these EDC people are out of control.
$200 fidget toy? I’m in the wrong business
First
👏
Saw the thumbnail and thought it was Greg Wallace. 😆
😳
Tired of bellroy infomercials
What about genuine purchaser/user content though?
