I lowkey hated the titan size changes. Like the Emperor class titan, a titan so large that it's head used to pop into the clouds, is now shorter than the leaning tower of piza. I would still cower in fear, but I feel like the size change was a downgrade, especially as it exists in a universe with things that are far more over the top.
Thing is they could make the emperor class like 100 meters, warlords like 50 it would be way better in a way of 100 meters being huge but not comicly large, you see if something is like 1km tall its impossible to animate and thats the reason I think they changed it
Well I think that the first ancient titans are still that tall before modernized into the size we know now. I think that even if there is a 100 meter imperator an ancient one would be like popping through the clouds like you said.
Hey man, u really went from 40 second videos to full blown documentary movies! im so totally impressed, you have a real talent for producing content young sir! thanks for doing the hobby and the lore proud, im glad you made it to youtube. Cheers! (not just blowing wind up your skirt either, lol) peace ✌✌
I've loved WH 40k since my 12's and I'm 38 and just hooked on your lore videos and shorts. my wife tells me that it's nice to have a hobby but I should just not be obsessed over it. my 8 year old told her" you know nothing of the holy emperor's sacrifice mom!" I've never been prouder of my child
I listened to an audiobook once, it had 2 warhound Titans, they were essentially lovers, both pilots were married before they became one with their respective titan's machine spirits. This made the bond between the titan's especially close and protective of each other in battle and would work in perfect unison.
Do you know what the Dark Mechanicum’s Warpsmiths are? They are the Chaos Astartes version. Chaos marine psychers who can pluck demons from the warp, from champions on down, and cram them into flesh suits. They are a WHOLE lot more then that, but that’s what they are best known for
@@jakehinton732 powerful psychers that use suitable hosts to guide daemons into the bodies for demonic possession. They also can pour warp energy into unfortunate souls to be turned into a chaos spawn, and they can act as seers for future events of interest for chaos. Very very simple explanation and do recommend reading more about them because they are really cool
Wes, I’ve heard all these stories and lore before. For awhile now. But you….. you have a way of composing the same information I’ve been reading and re reading for years in a way that I’m itching for you to go over my favorite aspects of all the monstrosities warhammer has to offer. Thank you. You’ve reignited my love for this amazing setting. Some good soup you offer
Not gonna lie, I love this series to death, and while it may seem heretical to seek this knowledge, I would go to my death gladly if you would do a deep dive on the inquisition.
They are on my list for deep dives! I don't have a set schedule tho. I find the videos always come out better if when I go to make one, I pick the faction that I am the most excited about on the moment.
@@weshammer I'll tell you this: Your audio balance is amazing. Excellent choice of music, perfect balance of talking vs BGM. Your audio also isn't filled with deep breath sucking, spit filled mouth, or other audio crimes. Clean, crisp, never talking past the end of your breath. Petty things like that have ruined otherwise good videos. Good choice of background images, limited if any recycling unless it's immediately relevant. Disclaimer: Not that I think you're ugly or anything. Not green screening or filling half the screen with your face and random pointing and forced emotes. Shit is so cringe. Not forcing hype and emotion outside what a normal person would express during a TEDTalk. I'm not even joking whether you knew or accidentally stumbled into it, your long form videos fall into expert presentation levels. Hell, even your shorts aren't bad. I can excuse pushing hype when you only have 60s 🤣
I didn't realize that they shrunk the titans that much. That is so disappointing they don't inspire as much AWE when they aren't even as half as tall as the freaken Empire State Building. TheI Imperator class Titian one which used to be the size of a Hive city is barely a 1/7th the size of the real world Empire State Building again. The titans used to be these amazing giant monstrosities of war meant for the destruction of anything before them now feel small wtf.
they only stated the sizes a couple of times and they varied with over a 100m. That being said ignore whatever games workshop says and imagine like they are in the art. GW is retarded when it comes to numbers in general.
Same, but everything in 40k needs to be scaled up as GW sucks at numbers. For me, their size varies between the old dimensions and the new. Some forge worlds may make a smaller sized Imperator for efficiancy’s sake. The smaller they are, the faster they can make it. But other forge worlds may make ones that can be seen from orbit because of traditions sake. I kinda see it like the Imperial Guard. No two titan legions are the same
yup same, tbh a titan can be demolished with modern weapons at this point. A Iowa class battleship has greater firepower than a reaver and arguably a 'Warlord' class. Yet they say it take generations to make a titan.....That means the tech in 40k in some points are far behind even modern standards. GW really needs to think about this
I kinda hate how a lot of the newer lore had taken most of the majesty and mystery out of the titans, in the old lore they truly were god machines towering over mountains and laying waste to entire planets but now with the newer lore they are smaller than the statue of liberty and are destroyed with ease. Non imperial titans have also suffered from this with eldar titans also reducing in size and losing most of their "magic" to being nothing more than generic anime mechs and tyranids have it even worse with their titans now being smaller and lighter than some of the larger dinosaurs and in one of the imperial armour books (I think it was volume 4) I biotitan was killed by grenades essentially making biotitans just another large tyranid. In fact if we go off of new lore then the only faction that still has massive titans is the orks who still somehow manage to pump out city sized gargants whenever there is a sizable waaaaagh
It's because GW wants to make models of titans for tabletop but building a 500 meter tall titan even in mini scale is ridiculous and pretty much statistically impossible
@@theenderdestruction2362 a space marine is 8 feet tall, at it's scale... A 400 foot tall object, at the same scale, would be a little over 5 feet tall. Keeping with this, at 400m, you're looking at a "mini" at well over 15 feet tall... And that's not even considering just how large the footprint of the thing would be. You would need a gaming table to base the thing, and likely a forklift to move it.
for obvious reasons im excited for the mechanicus episode. my personal headcannon is that when a techpriest recites the holy scripture it just sounds like AOL start up noises to anyone else
I mean in pacific rim is somewhat grounded in reality relative to 40k. But yeah a similar premise. I mean the jeagers are more or less just machines than thinking machines. They're aren't sentient by any means. The titans have machine spirits (in reality it's just simple AI and/or techno magic).
Warhound awesomeness: Legio Audax, led by the Ember Queen, an entire legion of Warhounds who pledged themselves to Angron's World Eaters, easily meeting the ferocity of the legion. Always taking a huge harpoon as a weapon. You might say, why did they gimp themselves like that, nope the Ember Wolves were known for being a nemesis to enemy titans and their harpoons were feared. Easily taking down Imperators with packs of Warhounds. Pure awesomesauce.
YES YOU DID IT!! My last comment i asked for a deep dive on Titians and boom. Dont care if u jus happened to have this planned ima jus believe you thought of your fans and obliged. Your a goat brotha plz keep the content coming. In a age where being a tuber is much more difficult. You have made a way and that alone deserves respect. Have a great day man you earned it
A few month ago i dived into the 40k universe after watching Bricky's videos and then expending my knowledge via your videos. Now thanks to your hardwork i have become a proud member of the Imperium, ready to serve the God Emperor o7
This video on 40k Titans really makes me appreciate the Dawn of War: Winter Assault expansion a lot more. Like I know it was a super-powerful weapon, but given just how precious and irreplacable they are, it makes a lot more sense for the Imperium to dispatch an Imperial Guard regiment and a detachment of Ultramarines to reclaim it.
I'm rewatching Gundam iron blood orphans right now just watched code Geass and then I'm gonna rewatch 86. If you like mecha type anime 86 had a great story
Epic ”Space Marine” was my very first GW game, and indeed my first miniature game ever and as such, Titans, eapecially the Warlord will always mean something special to me. After playing games where you purchased entire regiments of troops as a simgle pick and where 5 Space Marines were set on a single base in all their couple of millimeters of height made 40K seem very small scale when first encountering it.
there needs to be a game where your one of those people who controls the titan, and you only control that one and you can upgrade it and be different classes. That'd be fun I think
I noticed that the way you articulate the words, put the emphasis onto parts and ends of the words, is pretty well done. When you read up certain things, there is seriousness in your tone, and the words used are also epic and expressive, emotionally meaningfully. Great job.
Wes, you've managed to get me into Warhammer I saw your shorts a while back, and I subscribed. I learnt more things and watched videos I'd watched a while and actually understood them. I live a 10 minutes walk from a GW shop so I thought I'd go in and have a look, and I left with a Skiratii Marshall model So thank you for introducing me to this amazing world
If only their models and codices werent so overpriced i might actually start buying them to play the game or just paint and display them. Alas with GWs recent escalation of bad antifan behaviour, i reguse to support them until they get their act together. Warhammer+ is still a ripoff.
Titans definitely make me feel something. A sense of sheer epicness and awe inspiring glory. These mobilized war fortresses march for the Emperor, delivering the highest caliber possible to His enemies and those that threaten the Imperium. Imagining myself as a guardsman and witnessing even a warhound marching over me, crushing the ground and anything beneath its feet into rubble, is enough to make my eyes water. Because when I see the Machine God's legions of marching relics of ancient times, I am reminded once more that our faith has been made manifest, and humanity shall have their victory. Ave Omnissiah, ave Imperator!
I think I finally understand what chaos really is in the context of 40k. Like chaos in it's normal state is like a pin ball going all haywire inside of the pin ball machine hitting and colliding with the walls and maze like obstructions inside of said machine making all kind of noises and a light show. It's entertaining and interesting to watch. Another analogy could be diffusion of potassium permanganate in water or bromine in air. On the molecular and atomic level in the case of bromine all the molecules and atoms are moving haphazardly and spontaneous in the fluid medium in order to take up space. Even Radioactive decay is a practical use of chaos due to definition of what half life is and how nuclear fission works. Now in 40k, chaos is just a bastardization of the very concept of chaos itself. It's like if a group of hooligans go into said bar just to destroy the pin ball machine, then beat as much people in the bar and if they fail summon some demons to slaughter the entire town for no reason. Then the imperium is a "solution" to chaos but it's akin to sawing of your arms after a jellyfish sting instead of applying anti venom to the wound or any proper medical treatment besides sawing going vrrrr.
The first weekend of every month this store did 40k battles. Was fun to watch. And i remember this guy bringing in a titan. No joke was the size if a toddler and was epic!!! I thought it was a huge freeblade. But this guy was telling us there like a mobile fortress you could fit 100 freeblade on it!the size of a city!!😱🤯he had a crazy name for it. Something like grand emperor behemoth leviathan.
I love these. I love you WesHammer. You are a great storyteller and your passion for this is infectious. Speaking of infectious, will you carry my Nurglings?
Said it once, I'll say it again, this channel is where I got started on warhammer lore and I keep coming back. I don't play the tabletop, but you've gotten me into the books. Keep up the good stuff my dude
I remember seeing Titan Invictus (warlord class) when playing WH:40k Space Marine. That was the first titan I ever saw in the setting, and to this day it's how I define "Imperial" when thinking about power. I've always thought mechs were cool, the Imperium does them right.
The Warhound titans remind me of the old derp turret light tanks in world of tanks. Incredibly useful in assisting the heaviest tanks, but also terrifying in packs
18:35 "And then an angry Luetin09 started screeching. And we're blessed with another 1.30h Luetin's rant about Titans, STC and the death of knowlegde" Thank you Wes sub earned :D
That intro gave me flashbacks to a regular TT scale imperator titan that games workshop staff at the Manchester arndale made back in the day. It was enormous. Taller than child me. I still remember the ranks of guardsmen dotting the mid tiers of it getting their lasguns to work 😂
I personally HATE the new Titan lore about sizes... It makes no sense that an Imperium who can churn out kilometers-long starships from literal DYSON SPHERE FORGEWORLDS at enough of a rate to simultaneously fight a dozen other races across the entire galaxy would need hundreds of years to build a 30m tall stompy boi and jizz in their pants every tike they see one. Titans were supposed be what you sent down to the most heavily defended and fortified worlds to break through defences - but we've all seen the art of Hive and Forge worlds with buildings stretching into the low atmosphere... Even a 55m tall Imperator would be an ant amongst that!
It's a pity that GW has shrunk the Titans down so that they are feasable for the tabletop - and thus make sellable models. I loved that the old lore depicted them them as walking battleships with starship-grade weapons to match - this felt more in line with 40ks general over-the-top-ness. Sure, a 55m Imperator is a big deal, but I'd say that it gets easily outclassed by a 90m Jeager.🤷
if we take it by details technically a jaeger could dodge the titan and dropkick his ass i really liked the more gigantic titans that were actually vertical battleships
@@diegohiramguidogarcia6003 Exactly. I can see the reason to bother bringing a 200m Titan with a starship weapon to exploit a weak spot in a planetary shied that is designed to withstand orbital bombardements. But I don't see the value in the retconned Titans as they simply do more of the stuff that super heavy tanks do. 🤷♂️Don't bring a tank to a naval battle, make Titans great again.😋
Yes mate this is the content we love and need! I remember first hearing about a thunder hawk gunship and finally seeing someone like...."wtf!!!?!" This was back in 3rd ed! Nice
I think the biggest issue is that most people can’t visualise just how TALL 60m is. Looking up at a 60m walking cathedral would give you a serious stiff neck.
Hello Wes could you do a video on imperial knights ? I find them so interesting and this video does scratch a fue places in which knight lore does but I do find myself preferring knights . Anyway hope everything is well !
At times I feel like Thanos. I watch a lot of Warhammer 40K lore videos from other UA-camrs and when I start watching yours I feel like my brain is saying "this to brings a smile to my face" keep up the great work. Love you man
This is going to be weird to say, but Horus Heresy Legions is the reason I got into 40k. I have a lifelong friend that has always been about 40k (Ultramarines, ugh), and he tried to get me into 40k so many times. I loved CCGs and downloaded Legions on a lark, but I wound up really enjoying the game. The story behind the beginning of the Heresy was the tutorial and I really liked what was there. I obsessively played for like 6 months spending waaaay too much money) and one day I asked my friend "Hey, what's the deal with this Horus guy anyway?" 3 hours later I was downloading the Audiobook "Horus Rising" and I *still* get chills from that opening line in that gravely voice "I was there the day that Horus Killed the Emperor" Holy crap I was hooked!!!! I started out in Kill Team, and quickly graduated to 40k "proper". I have like 3000 points of Orks, and am closing on 5000 points of Necrons. I usually roll my eyes at "sponsors" on UA-cam channels since I pay to not have commericals... but I have to say, the Legions game actually changed my life. I haven't played Legions it in a couple years, and I have quit playing video games altogether, but it is a worthy sponsor of your channel Wes! I am all in on 40k, and I don't regret the journey I took to get here!
That was actually a beautiful story. 🥲 Really happy to have you in the community my friend! I also get chills at the opening of the first horse herrsy book. Have you watched the cinematic trailer for the new edition of the Horus heresy tabletop game? Even if you have no interest in it, you should watch it. The cinematic is amazing! I used some footage from it in the beginning of this video. When Horus says "if I cannot save it from you father... then let the Galaxy burn!" Massive chills!
I did watch it, and thought my god, they really could make an epic series out of the story. I was confused at first thought it might be a trailer for a new animated series! So much goodness!
If you don't go to church in 40k, the church will come to YOU! Love your deep-dives btw. If you do Space Marines, are you thinking of doing deep dives for each of the main legions, or one big overview?
This is a must view for all 40k lore junkies. Bravo. Well done, sir. Kudos. You can do extra episodes on your deep dives, I would watch. You are on point, killin' it.
Love the content as always, thanks for sharing a bit more about war hammer for us plebs with no monies to play. I found myself waiting for the next upload since the Stodes video, was hyped for the chaos legion one and this one was just as great! Really high quality content and I love and appreciate all the effort put into it.
If you can't afford 40k I totally get it. It's fun but way over priced. You should look into tabletop sim. There's a great 40k mod and a pretty active online community. I think the TTS 40 discord has like 10,000 people with a bunch of "looking for opponent" type channels
How did we get from 200 meters to 35 And THE CLOUDS to 54... This isnt more reasonable This is just a joke compared to what came before Like yeah they are big, but not even remotely moving city big
Honestly, the old insane numbers for how large the titans were makes more sense, especially considering their artwork. The Sistine Chapel for example is 22 meters tall, and plenty of cathedrals are over 100 meters tall. Having what I can only imagine to be a cathedral as over the top as the rest of the setting, you would assume they’d be a lot bigger. I can’t imagine them being dwarfed next to a modern cathedral, with one more like the size of a regular church on their back. And their guns can destroy entire cities and fire chunks of destroyed planets? They would probably break themselves firing those weapons. Hell, most of them aren’t even as tall as aircraft carriers.
18:00 Got to love Warhammer, "titans are equiped with what is necessesary to accomplish its task".... Shows a titan with two golden statues towering about 10m LOL
I'm so glad you make these videos, I've recently got into Warhammer 40k, but not playing the RPG, just the books, and learning lore, so I really appreciate these videos
Maybe the god engine should have more “Facility” uses, maybe if it was used for more things than WAR, like people sleeping. People growing up, providing shelter, maybe if it protected people just as much as it destroyed it wouldn’t be crazy, and might make for some awesome “Haunted House” stories in 40k, like the house trying to manipulate minds to provoke war, or vice versa, or a building that detected heresy or gene stealers, because it’s “Alive” and “Always watching”
Wes is more unbiased. Luetin is a Imperial of Man Slut. Luetin, no matter what faction he discusses, is just an opportunity to spread Imperial Propaganda for those space nazis....oops, I meant Space Marines.
In the original 1988 Adeptus Titanicus rulebook Titans could be fitted with jump jets to allow them to jump over defences or obstacles and fly for short distances. . I think the idea of a flying Warlord Titan is awesome. . The artwork in that book is sone of my favourite in all of 40k.
@synergy8879 it was probably a possessed titan, I remember seeing possessed titan upgrade packs with claws, tails demon heads, or heads with chanswords for lower jaws or cannons sticking out the mouths etc. .
53:30 pretty sure the imperial aquila pre-dated the unity with Mars, as it was Big E's symbol during the unification wars. And the imperial aquila has one eye open and one eye closed. Representing what humanity lost in the past, but looking to the future.
From what I understand, the double headed eagle replaced the emperor's previous sigile, which was an emperor grasping lightning bolts in it's talons, at least that's the description it was given in Valdor birth of the imperium. If I'm being honest, I don't think I've ever seen a drawing of the original design. I'll have to look it up
@@weshammer I could be wrong. I was literally mowing the lawn listing to your video and paused to comment. I'll do some more looking into it myself. Great video by the way, learned a few new things. Never heard that Quakecannon shell part. Very cool.
These are the best Warhammer videos I love this channel others sound so boring to me but these videos make me what to play and I have never played before I have learn more about the game from this guy than anyone else.
I'm a 40k veteran the most fearsome weapon described by guardsmen serving in the leg bastions of emperor titans is the plasma annihilator. It's blinding light and sound when fired fills them with dread, cause if it is fired, then there is something out there, able to be dangerous to the titan. There is a short story out there describing this in an old white dwarf. Titans were larger back then, which was better than they are now.
It would be nice to have a companion video for things like the Eldar, Ork, and other such Titans in the verse. Given that most of the Lore is centered around the Emperium’s version of these, you’d probably be able to cover the other races in a single long format video. But as far as I know the other races amount to: “we need big guns too!” But I’m no lore master, and wouldn’t mind learning more about their lore also.
It's funny, but... My first Warhammer 40k army had four Warhounds, two Reavers, and a Warlord Titan in addition to a bunch of super heavies... None of my friends would believe me though... 😅 Because they all played 40k and I was playing Epic 😅😅
I really appreciate this side of youtube so much. I've been working on my own universe since I was a kid, I've never shared anything but I hope to have fans as into the lore as you are to Warhammer. I love worldbuilding and personally Warhammer is my favorite of the universes. Dune comes 2cnd. Lovecraft mythos 3rd.
The Original lore states that Titans fired shells as large as Battle Tanks and that they could create deep valleys across the landscape and shift millions of tons of soil and debris at will from the sheer size and ferocity of their weaponry. So, the GW Titans that are on the table top at 28mm scale are most definitely NOT True scale based on their original lore. Titans are basically Reaper sized monstrosities from Mass Effect but a helluva lot chunkier and they make the same BlaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG sound to scare the sh *t out of the enemies of the Imperium. BTW the Godzilla in the latest movie is 120 meters tall. If you follow the new Titan lore which was clearly created so they could justify selling models to put on the 28mm tabletop that would make Warlord Battle Titans shorter than the height of Godzilla's kneecaps. Anyone who advocates for that ridiculous retcon is a heretic deserving of the Holy Emperor's damnation and caste back to the shadows of the warp for all eternity!!
This video was absolutely amazing, I love titans and I love your lore videos so I’m so happy to see long form content on it. I can’t help noticing you didn’t mention the Nemsis pattern warbringer titan. I know you said there was a bunch of different models of titans but I was hoping you would talk more about them as they are my favourite titan and I wanted to learn more. I’m sure you had a good reason for leaving them out and I’m not mad about it. Keep up the good work I’m loving these videos.
So, I'm new to warhammer. Really like the lore, tried some of the games (seems like a hit or miss with those, sadly). Had been curious to read some of the books, but given how... large the lore is, not only where woild one start, but what would be some of the more standout books to read?
If you watch the featured video on my channel called WTF is Warhammer 40K I give a whole bunch of book recommendations for newcomers in there. Think of it like how comic book universes are structured. There's no one storyline it's just a massive setting. So I always tell people to pick a book that features a faction or character they find interesting. Realistically you can jump in anywhere. I started with the night Lord trilogy because I wanted to know more about chaos space marines.
That video is a good one for recommendations. For me personally, i highly recommended the eisonhorn+ series. There are 8 books so far and are all super accessible and you dont need to know much lore to get started as they are very self contained. First 3 books are the Eisenhorn triliogy, then the Ravenor triliogy, and currently 2 out of 3 books for the Bequin triliogy. The Ciaphas Cain books are fun to read as well. A lot of people recommended the horus heresy but i personally do not for those just getting into the universe. Its essentially a prequel to the universe, one that is very extensive and would take months if you dedicated all your spare time to reading them, and given that they really are ment for people already deep in the lore, many of them can be rather dull.
let the galaxy burn is probably the best place to start its a older book 2003 so some things have changed and newer stuff like the fall of cadia has happened but its a collection of shortstories that atleast touch on most things in the universe a little easy to read and all quality
Ordo Sinister; 25 Warlord Class Titans: fashioned into a legio of psychic kill engines by the Emperor's own hands. 🤩 Demanded from Mars as part of the treaty of Olympus Mons: he knew he needed them even then 😢
In 2024 no one will ever do a 40k justice when it comes to live adaptation movies or shows. Its too politically correct now a days to make a universe so brutally offensive, and thats a damn shame
I've watched a lot of warhammer 40k lore videos but by far wesHammer is the the best. WesHammer your delivery and voice is amazing 😍 you are as informative as luetin and in your shorts funnier than majorkill. Keep up the good work. Your doing absolutely delicious content that I'll watch over and over and I have been ever since you started on UA-cam 😊
LORE! All jokes aside. Love these long form videos. I've never gotten in to the yabletop game (I grew up poor) but have been in love with the world ever since my friend gave me a pirated copy of dawn of War. And I always pick up a codex when I find them at a good price. And welcome to the UA-cam community. I hope that you'll like it here. Thanks for the great content! /Bo

The fact that the Ordo Sinister Titans' main weapon is totally silent when it fires is the most disturbing thing about them.
@@weshammer regardless of the direction you go for your next deep dive I wait with extreme anticipation
@@weshammer I'll tell you this:
Your audio balance is amazing.
Square cube law is a bitch am I right.
No two titan legions are the same
There’s always headcanon
yup same, tbh a titan can be demolished with modern weapons at this point. A Iowa class battleship has greater firepower than a reaver and arguably a 'Warlord' class. Yet they say it take generations to make a titan.....That means the tech in 40k in some points are far behind even modern standards. GW really needs to think about this
Imagine a titan so colossal that it can be piloted by dreadnoughts.
Oh wait, that's a mega gargant.

That’s good for the Orks and all, but the titans do really seem rather pathetic in size nowadays
It's because GW wants to make models of titans for tabletop but building a 500 meter tall titan even in mini scale is ridiculous and pretty much statistically impossible
@@thehoboking2028 ahh yes because the minis of the Marines are bloody 8 feet tall hmmm yes

In the book betrayer they use the harpoons on a titan and basically capture it

Theres a game like that but with 40k knights, it’s called freeblade
You basically described mechwarrior but make it 40k
I noticed that the way you articulate the words, put the emphasis onto parts and ends of the words, is pretty well done. When you read up certain things, there is seriousness in your tone, and the words used are also epic and expressive, emotionally meaningfully. Great job.
My understanding is that the knowledge to build Reaver titans has been lost and that is why they are rarely seen on the battlefield anymore.

Then the imperium is a "solution" to chaos but it's akin to sawing of your arms after a jellyfish sting instead of applying anti venom to the wound or any proper medical treatment besides sawing going vrrrr.
chos in its normal state is just directionless energy.
@@firmak2 Yes in a scientific state yes. In a philosophical state it's an abscence of order. In 40k it's a basterdization of the idea.

This guy's combover is INTENSE!

I think the biggest issue is that most people can’t visualise just how TALL 60m is. Looking up at a 60m walking cathedral would give you a serious stiff neck.

Like yeah they are big, but not even remotely moving city big
it's just the GW sucks at numbers.

I remember that story, from the perspective of a tech guard in one of the leg bastions.

You know...I had never put 2 and 2 together that the size retcon was due to making them compatible with their game system. Very perceptive of you
And also the mata nui robot body from bionicle is the size of a continent and can be seen from space and can also fly

Its essentially a prequel to the universe, one that is very extensive and would take months if you dedicated all your spare time to reading them, and given that they really are ment for people already deep in the lore, many of them can be rather dull.
i recommend: Eisenhorn, yarric, gaunts ghosts, cain, farsight, infinite vs divine, bile, nightlords omnibus.
let the galaxy burn is probably the best place to start
its a older book 2003 so some things have changed and newer stuff like the fall of cadia has happened
but its a collection of shortstories that atleast touch on most things in the universe a little
easy to read and all quality
John 3:16 NIV
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 🙏
Ordo Sinister; 25 Warlord Class Titans: fashioned into a legio of psychic kill engines by the Emperor's own hands.
🤩
Demanded from Mars as part of the treaty of Olympus Mons: he knew he needed them even then 😢
6:09 Titan with PP
So much talk about the machine spirits and AdMech involvement has me so so so excited for their deep dive. Can't wait
In 2024 no one will ever do a 40k justice when it comes to live adaptation movies or shows. Its too politically correct now a days to make a universe so brutally offensive, and thats a damn shame
Okay, but HOW are these behemoths deployed... That's one hell of a parachute....
Titan Haulers
A special ship that conveys them from thier ships in orbit to the ground. Think of a 7 story tall dropship
Titans. They take the miniature out of miniature wargaming.
Awesome. Loved the personal story. Reminds me of my experience with warhammer way back in the 90s

I may be young in learning the 40k lore but funnily enough I actually got hooked on it when I saw a random picture of a warlord titan and decided to look up on it, granted I'm still young and was still a kid when I found the said picture
This was an absolute banger of a video dude loved every second of it could tell you really put your all into making this as good as physically possible keep up the great work dude
Haven't even finished the video and I know it's gonna be good when Wes is HYPED!
I do t kniw why I choose warhanner lore videos to coax me into sleep, but I am eternally grateful for your existence. NODDERS
“hey brother, how many quake cannons should we throw onto this titan?”
“Y E S.”
I love how WesHammer's history with the Titans kinda mirrors the Tau's
Hey Weshammer I’ve followed your videos for a long time I love how you get better every time. I’d love to see you do a let’s play for any warhammer game, dawn of war or battle sector would be awesome but any game you wanna play I’ll watch.
Omg if someone could put me in a coma in a dream state like total recall except in a 40k world i would take that trip in a second
If that was possible I might, if given a choice I'd go night lords.
