    Answered my question right away with ALT N. Thanks no need for a switcher!

    Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. The split screen share is even better!

    For switching cameras, one can change the keyboard shortcut to a single character, such as one of the bottom keys on the number pad, for example "NUM 0". This makes it easier to change cameras without having to potentially look down to find the multiple keys that have to be pressed at once.

    Brilliant! - I was looking to buy an A/B switch and stumbled on you. Much better solution. (I guess I'm not the first to come to that conclusion.) Thanks for your lucid presentation.

    This is great! Also I found a way to switch between cameras with a midi controller. There is a free software called "Midi Key2Key" which can learn midi controls and translate them to keystrokes. I'm afraid it is windows only, but I'm sure there is something similar for mac. This way I can use the Alt+N shortcut by pressing a hardware button, or a pedal if I am teaching an instrument with my hands. And I can keep the "share screen" option for simultaneously presenting notes, music score, whatever I need.

    If you are using your built in webcam on your laptop /computer audio and then your second webcam has a built in mic too how do you not use the audio from the second webcam when you are sharing content from the second camera? Can this be done?

    Wow this is great!! I’m gonna try this out. I’m a student, and have a piano summer class starting this monday. Now, I’ll know what I’ll do if I have a question to the professor, and I need to show my keyboard.
    Since I’m the student, should I do screen sharing or it’s better to just switch back and forth between cameras?

    • @Centremusic
      @Centremusic  4 роки тому

      Glad this helps! As a student it probably makes more sense to switch back and forth between cameras. Otherwise your teacher will have to give your permission to share your screen anytime you want to show your keyboard. Have fun!

    hello can i switch between cameras automatically For example, I want to specify a time for each camera to leave and return
    Thank u

      Hello Ehab Mohammed, I don't think you can automatically switch between cameras through zoom. HOWEVER, I believe there's software out that such as OBS (Open Broadcast Studio) or XSplit that MIGHT give you that capability. I still have to do some research on it myself so I'm not 100% positive. Thank you for asking the question!

    I Still want a webcam, but that's not happening! Please discuss how to switch between cameras from two laptops! I have PC laptops, and iPhone for options for cameras. iPhone is easier to position with cheap clamp flexible goose neck thing.. I just ordered a little clip-on wired mike, so hopefully sound quality upgrade. Thanks for your helpful videos

    Hi there thanks for your tips on two webcams on Zoom. If I have two cameras on Zoom and I screen share, can one of those cameras have a virtual background on it, whilst the other does not? Kathleen

    I have a new webcam and would like to have that pointing onto my keyboard, if I can ever figure out how to get the thing to work. Can I use that in the advanced setting, the notebook camera for my face and then use my iPhone as a Zoom participant getting my keyboard at another angle? I don't want to fumble around with switching cameras in the middle of the lesson. Also, how can I get two microphones to work (piano and for me) without feedback?

    Great tutorial! Very much to the point. Friendly, without the usual hyper host and bombastic background music.
    Here is my dilemma. I have an iPad Air 2019 and a desktop Windows 10 PC workstation without webcam, which will soon have one. I'm assuming that the only way I can use these in combination (since they are different OS) is to sign into Zoom as 2 separate entities (host and guest) and use one for close up drawing demonstrations with mic muted and the other for conducting the art class, thus having two views appearing simultaneously.
    Any thoughts on whether this would be doable or is there a better solution? Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi - great video. Very clear. Can you help? I'm trying to set up a second webcam overhead. The first method you show in the video works fine but the second method (which I would prefer as the student can see both feeds) just doesn't work. The second camera is almost black. This is on a pc. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, please? Thanks.

    In order to do this does the 2nd camera have to be wired directly to the computer or can you also use a wireless camera?

    • @gregorypex
      @gregorypex 4 роки тому

      Ryan, it'd have to be wired to the computer. Zoom is pulling the video from the USB port where the camera is connected.

      Try downloading the logitech software for controlling the camera: www.logitech.com/en-us/product/capture That may give you the ability to zoom in using your webcam. Good luck!

      I would look into a program called OBS. You can do multiple camera views and even overlays/text/ or whatever else that you want.
