    What was the purpose for doing the clutch kit? I am delaminating belts on the top side.. I bought the same clutch kit, limiter spacer, and primary clutch cover in hopes this will fix my issue with burning belts.

    Great video has and will continue to be a big help for us. Did you eventually try removing the teflon washer?

    • @DinkGear
      @DinkGear  6 місяців тому

      Thank you... I left both of the teflon butter shift washers installed in the secondary. This makes it easier to shift as well as adds more pressure to the secondary on the belt. The clutch settled after driving and I had to add some spacer washers back in.

    What tune mount are you using and where did you get it? Does it hold up well?

    I hear the 2021 pro xp already upgraded the Helex. So would you recommend only doing springs and weights. Or do the new Helex as well. Thanks

    • @DinkGear
      @DinkGear  2 роки тому

      I can't say that I know that for sure. look and see if the parts are available individually. if they are start small with the Springs and the buttershift washes.

    whats the butter washers suppose to do?

    • @DinkGear
      @DinkGear  3 роки тому

      2 washers stacked in the helix allow for less spring bind and smoother shifting.
      Less harmonic noise from the spring.
      Increases spring rate by 10-15lbs peak on average, this can help eliminate slipping if more spring tension was needed

    I just installed this kit. I think your problem with the secondary spinning was you added both butter shift washers. In the instructions it says add one washer, maybe the other was a spare? Teflon will wear out with time.. I installed only one and the secondary was stationary, no movement..

    • @DinkGear
      @DinkGear  2 роки тому

      Instructions state add both buttershift washers. Secondary doesn't spin after running for short time guess it just had to run for a few

      I gotcha. Wonder if the instructions changed for a 2022, although its the same clutch. I only added one and all seems good. I guess will see what happens and adjust if needed. Good vid btw!

      Normal... it gets settled. Look at alignment, add washers to accomodate. My guess is you will be back at # of washers you were before

      So it uses the same number of washer for secondary also did you remove both butter washer or still same 2 on there

    Is it bad if The secondary clutch spins I have a 2021 1000xp turbo

    • @DinkGear
      @DinkGear  2 роки тому

      Yes. You need to check belt alignment and add or remove shims as needed. Secondary should not spin when idling in park

    • @jamesatkinson2194
      @jamesatkinson2194 2 роки тому

      @@DinkGear Could this cause belts to slip/glaze?? I've got a new 22PXP and I can hear my secondary spinning slowly while idling... but by belt slips when I get on the gas around 40-45 MPH. I'm just trying to take baby steps before I rebuild both clutches.

    • @DinkGear
      @DinkGear  2 роки тому

      @@jamesatkinson2194 I suppose. The larger springs and butter shift washers will apply more pressure to the belt and eliminate the slippage. If your looking for smaller steps first... I would add or remove shims to stop the secondary from spinning at idle, then just add butter shift washers to secondary. they say they add approx 10#'s more force to the spring.

      I just did all this on a S4 tonight. At a stabile cruise running 5800 at 55 mph and 8450 WOT about 75mph. I used a magnet configuration of 0,1,3. Stage 3 tune, 32” tires, Trinity tube, BOV, & exhaust. Great feel all the way around from low to high speeds. I highly recommend this kit. Massive difference from stock. You won’t regret it! All smiles when you hit the gas. Low range is amazing too. FWD low range breaks loose all four wheels no problem. Can’t wait to hit the trails.
