As someone with a fairly basic understanding of mechanics, who has always been THAT person who peppers her mechanics with a multitude of questions such as “what is that, what does that do, how do you fix it” etc, I’m so glad that I found this channel- I’m loving every minute of your content!!!
I love these videos,I'm hooked.I live in Spain and also flip bangers although only as a hobby so maybe 1 every 3 months.I find Gus and Will inspirational and I'm learning a lot of tricks. For example today I came across an old rusted nut that wouldn't budge,I thought to myself ,what would Will and Gus do ?...so I whacked it with a big hammer and out it came sweetly.
Excellent video, it made me aware of the exact part number I need to replace the O-Ring / distributor cap... on my old Toyota.
I've only just discovered your channel and I'm already a big fan. Your patience and talent at fault-finding is unbelievable. Good luck for the future. It must be very satisfying to keep so many "old bangers" on the road.
It’s just a show but it’s better then wheeler dealer .
I love watching carshows like this. I know the economy in fixing the cars is based on DIY. I remember talking to my favorite car dealer, questioning why I had to pay so much. Flipping bangers and Wheeler Dealers is much cheaper. Then we laughed our a.... of, and went into the office and put together a realistic and good deal.
It's a credit to you Gary! Well done,
You two gents have great video presence👏👏👏👏🍺🍺🍺👏🇬🇧🇬🇧
Do you get stopped in the street and asked for your autograph yet? Love your banter, good for a laugh anytime, fellahs.
After watching this episode i must say these 2 wonderful chaps gave the tired MR2 a re-new zest to its life by addressing the necessary items that was sorely missed previous...kudos to them !!! keep up the good work ...more soon? thanks for the upload.
Now that is impressive!
Thoroughly enjoy watching your content guys! Bring on plenty more please.
Will has some Kramer vibes :D
Rubbish.
The Mk11 MR2 a 'Nan Car'
I had a 2ltr 200 bhp version that was imported from Japan.
It went very well indeed !
excellent
🤔. Valve stems and rings need replacing, the edges of the wrap 😮.. oh my 😬
I flipped a few cars in the UK, to be honest, when I flipped cars under £750, pretty much all I did was a very basic service, new wiper blades, changed a tyre or two and a decent wash, polish, and thorough clean inside.
I did the work over a weekend and sold in the yellow ads for free, in the early 90s - 00s making £350 for 6-8 hours work, 2-3 times a month, gave me money my ex wife's solicitor didn't know about!
I live in Thailand now, car prices are strange, the prices depend on age, luxury, rarity, manual vs auto, mileage, brand, colour and feeling of the seller.
Rust isn't an issue, but sun damage can be awful, on paintwork and dashboards.
I've seen an incorrectly restored Morris 1100 painted orange badly for £6,000, but a 1994 Seat Cordoba with 100k on the clock for £750. I saw a MkI Escort 2 door no running gear, virtually no paint but no rust for £600.
I sometimes feel like buying something old and having a play, but I don't know how I'd feel trying to work on it in 33-37 degree heat. 😐
I liked and subscribe this channel
We want a new series
same engine into my toyota avensis vere good engine 👍
I didn't even know they made automatic SW20 MR2's.
You definetely like Frank zappa
Kolo je kureng❗
Patut letak kolo garang ✅
i had toyota celica 1992 whith 410 819 km !! no oil only when is old
As an experienced mechanic I shudder when I see these two butcher a car with no clue, it'
s mechanics 101 they seriously need help.
It would have been much better if the hosts compared the engine technology and gearboxes from different eras to the present. The engines of 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and then the present technology, all compared as to their road performance and driving pleasure.
Those brake discs were wasted.
Another good vid thanks for sharing. Just a note on the heavy rock music, it gets a bit too much at times as it’s fighting for attention distracting from the vid.
I'm hooked now, but that spoiler was painful. They look way better without.
Do a manual transmission swap, that'll quadruple the value right off the bat.
only 2,610 in malaysian ringgit...... cheap price. its hard to find good car in 2000 ringgit in malaysia
Kat sana murah²....
Disini 🇲🇾 harga ✌🏻😅
That engine is burning oil with that build up on throttle body and the face 190000 thousand miles
Pena que não é em português
Jeg garanterer for din reparation af olien, at benet kun er 50% af reparationen, da pakdåsen inde i strømfordeleren er 100% sikker på også lækker. ellers ville der ikke have været nogen olie inde i den
That has to be the least car dealer -like car salesman I've ever seen, seems far too honest...
Sorry, but in my eyes wrapping the MR2 was a waste of time and money. The blue original color was fine. Greetings from Germany
To be honest,I was cringing and sometimes looking away when you started to apply venal to the first wing🙈🙈🙈🙈
dumbass can't even spell vinyl
New wheeler dealers
Its not the 173 bhp 3sge its the 120bhp 3sfe haha the one nobody wants.
Wrapping A nice car is one thing. But using it like bondo to cover up crap under. Just patetic 😂
Just like Wheeler Dealers, these guys aren't making any money after rent. Their work goes unpaid in almost all of their projects, so it's just a tv show, not a business.
Yeah ive sold 2 vehicles this week both not mine,a camper and a caravan, commission sales 2300 euros ,no overheads,no cleaning, no outlay, just advertising and answering messages, as for cars I sell them for parts ,watching this makes me feel good about my business.
Yes, the numbers don’t stack up. Some weeks they only clear £500 or so which is £250 each. That would hardly pay the rent on the workshop, especially one with a hoist. But the banter between Gus and Will is genuine, they’re obviously good mates and they’re having fun so if a TV production company wants to pay them for their hobby, then good on them. Even though it’s scripted, there’s still a lot of funny ad hoc off the cuff spontaneous stuff going on. I enjoy it.
Lots of banter, lots of fun for all, wonder if they sign autographs, yet?!😅
It's obviously just a show for people like myself who seeing cars get tinkered with, I do love however how many cups of tea they get through 😂
Wheeler Dealers had the chance to add something to it … they had more an idea, style for a car. The ‘most’ exciting I’ve seen on this show is turning an MX5 back to standard and trading in the alloys of a MINI for white steelies. It’s fun to watch, but clearly Wheeler Dealers on a budget 😂
Needs a engine swap, brake upgrade, aftermarket suspension, ground effects package, a nice rear wing, black leather seat reupholstery, black leather steering wheel. Paint touch up and buffing, and ceramic coating. Dont forget the aftermarket rims and fresh rubber.
You simply would not make a profit
@@user-tn5fz4kp8j no kidding, but thats what it needs. What else do you think it could benefit from?
Pair of hacks
For anyone to compare this to wheeler dealers? Must be on drugs.
Everything they did to that body is hideous. Should have kept it original. I notice they never get the timing light out on any of these shitters they buy. Oh yeah - did you see the brake disc? And all that work for a profit of what? - bugger all. Laughable. Couple of dills.
