That’s 24k with fork oil change money . I had the same .
6yr ago It cost over £600 for a 2014 675 at a triumph dealer for a 12k service , wouldn’t get a triumph dealer service out of warranty again
I don’t believe they did most they changed for
The coolant wasn’t changed etc . Next big I had a 24k value check and plugs at a independent. Still within
Spec . I believe it’s very rare they need adjusting . Sold that now
Point is I bought a 2015 Daytona 15k miles as a 2nd bike it’s never had value check yet . original spark plugs they use long lasting iridium .
It will dine at some point.

They don't call dealerships stealerships for no reason. Obviously they make alot of money through servicing but you do have piece of mind if you need to make a warranty claim. Any chance of a walk around video of the bike detailing all your mods. Cheers 👍🍺🇦🇺

Just out of curiosity, do you think you'd ever do a "My riding gear" video? I, personally, would be quite interested in knowing what riding gear someone with massive titanium balls has to get for when they ride aggressively. Also, you ever planning on going back to the "sit up and beg" bars? I love the look of the clip ons (which has sorta inspired me to want to get an SV650s or an MT07 and do a clip on conversion for my A2 bike) but then bars would probably be more comfortable and better for countersteering

Great video, very informative. Quick question.. the clip ons seem to be canted back, perhaps they could be moved forward to align with the hand/knuckles better. Perhaps it just the angle of the video, but worth a thought. 👍🏽

    • @DaytonaDays
      @DaytonaDays  5 років тому +1

Saqib Khaliq they’re angled back so that they make the bike handle/feel more like a sports bike. If I was going to angle them straight then there wouldn’t be any point in having them. Might as well of kept the handlebars ✌🏼

Expensive for sure, it’s not a Ferrari, but that’s the price we pay.
At my 24,000 miles service, bikes running fine, never had any issues.
Then the service department at the Bmw/triumph dealer striped my spark plug threads in cyl 1. Tried to blame it on me and make me pay for it.
After pulling the cam caps to adjust the exhaust side shims, they discovered scoring on my cyl 1 exhaust side cam. (Only one lobe, probably from debris) the guy at the counter called me back to say that my aftermarket air filter caused it?!? Cuz the air filter feeds air onto the oily cams right ?!? Lmfao
They miss adjusted my throttle bodies so badly that cyl 1 wasn’t getting any air at idle and wasn’t running or even able to heat the exhaust header (I measured them). I’ve never had them lube my swing arm bearings or anything, For the same standard price..
Missing bolts on my radiator shroud, some coming lose as if they were only finger tight.
I don’t trust my local triumph service department, learned how to do every service myself, valves next at 36,000 miles.
2015 street triple, 27,000 miles, I changed my oil every 2,500 miles with Motul.

Peace of mind from a Triumph dealer 😂 the last major service I had done at my nearby triumph dealer (in exeter) couldn't be bothered to replace the cam cover seal which it does state in the official service manual to replace and another gasket they bodged with silicone sealant. if they cant be bothered to do those then what else couldn't they be bothered with ?

Triumph did do a shit job when I had the brake fluid changed. Wouldn’t have used them at all but I don’t have the software to modulate the abs. Anyway, they left brake fluid all round the rear reservoir which bleached my rear hugger in leopard print by the time I got home. Anyway, the changed the hugger without question but it’s something to be said about their procedures and attention to detail.
