Wow, I never realized just how bad the Fantasmic fire actually was, especially that large explosion and pillar of fire that shot toward the ground. Glad that one cast member on the ground had walked away by the time that happened, that could've been horrific.

Two thoughts here. First of all, given the sheer number of "projected face" malfunctions I've seen on this site, I am delighted to learn that Disney may well be retiring this particular process or whatever you want to call it. It doesn't look that great to begin with from what I've seen, and clearly, it has more problems than it's worth. Secondly, the Fantasmic dragon fire was a true tragedy. I remember hearing about it when it happened. Such a genuine shame. I can understand why Disney doesn't want to rebuild it as it was, in case something like that happens again, but wow. Oh, one more thought -- so glad to see Sonny Eclipse is still around. Hope he gets himself together. :)
It's kinda sad to hear the dragon won't come back. That animatronic looked so impressive! Still gotta admit tho that something about watching it just absolutly bursting into flames and dripping with fire was kinda cool. I mean it even appeared to still be spitting flames while being a ginormous bonfire by itself already! It's sad to know he's gone but man was it one hell of a way to go. Rest in peace Murphy

I always love these animatronic malfunction videos and the little comments for each one always give me a laugh 🤣.
(Bonus points for little facts and trivia about these impressive audio animatronics 👏)

That blast of flame from the dragon probably made the "brave cast member" reconsider their firefighting choices. It is fortunate they weren't standing where the stream of flame struck the ground. That would have been a horrific tragedy captured on hundreds of videos and unlikely to be something to be survived.

The scary thing is the Maleficent dragons have this issue…. A parade one burned in 2018 too.
I have a photo of that one in action and was glad I got it.
Timothy Snyder was my father so thank you for putting our video in! ❤
Thank you so much for the submission!!
Thank you!
I want a quickly say that what happened to the dragon animatronic in Disneyland Fantasmic is going to be out of commission for the rest of the year at least. What a shame
That last one...FLAMINGGGG DEAATH!
When PT Flea has had enough of Maleficent....
Lol nice one 😂 why didn’t I think of that?
idk about you but the fact that a dragon named after murphy's law lit on fire is actually pretty funny
