@Allyn Kessler Thank you for creating. The video site is like medicine and the only bright spot in 2020 (well that and the Dreams Ocean Spray tik tok).
From one of the top fans on UA-cam this is dedicated to my ex-husband who just loved going with me to the Nawlin's Jazz and Heritage Festival. My ex just passed away in June. I know you're in Rock and roll heaven with all the books and music you can have and cartoons. I listened to Tom Petty before I even met him. I love Tom Petty so much he was so amazing in the 70s and '80s live at night at the concerts at the pier in NYC or at any venue my friends and I saw him at.
Me too! Right with you. Just several years behind. After he passed, I could not listen to his music for a while. Was so depressed. Now...I have watched everyone of his performances.
I was 6 years old on the same day. MTV went on air. The Tom Petty videos and songs were very memorable and I liked them then. 41 years later he is still as relevant. Tragically not with us
2022. Tom petty is my life or 20 plus years of it in sound, lyrics and videos. I love you Tom. Always have. Always will. You are one of a kind and you are missed ❤️

Glad I spent all that money. I saw Tom and the heartbreakers at least half a dozen times. Over about a 30 years stretch. I saw about 600 national tours during that time. Tom was always incredible. I see a lot of comments about how good the sound is. Tom Petty, Peter Gabriel and Steely Dan. Something about the sound of those 3. Just beyond what anyone else can do. Lots of groups sound good. Not Great 👍... RIP Tom Petty RIP Walter Becker. Put out the new album already PETER Gabriel. I live in Hawaii for 8 years now on the big island. No big Acts coming here . No little acts either.

My wife and I went to see him at this show. There were so many people there that day that barely saw the stage. We just sat in our chairs and heard it through the PA, from afar.
Driven, creative, motivated, respected, humble, Focused, sarcastic, Intresting, magnetic, Gifted, intelligent, Amazing perfectionist, irreplaceable. He left the world better then he found It. The perfect roll Model.
This is a totally awesome sounding set. The sound is perfect....every instrument and vocal captured almost like you're there. You're right up front, dudes and dudesses!. DIG THIS. This is very bright happy acoustics. Nice!! Jangling too. TP: Born and raised here in Gainesville, FL. We miss his soul, heart and singing so much here. I'm 10 minutes from his boyhood home, but he's my heart every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite songs right here.I miss you and The HeartBreakers so much but you guys left us with music that will stand the test of time and every generation after us will know who you are and what great music and lyrics you wrote , from your heart which is rare these days but you accomplished something not many bands do and having a Nation named after you was proof of how much you are loved and will continue to be in my heart , thoughts and prayers forever.

........I live in Gainesville Florida........ where HWY 441... runs through the town ....”Like 441 like the waves crashing on the beach”. Used to shop at the music store in Gainesville where Tom Petty and the guy from the Eagles used to work... Also Stephen Stills lived in Gainesville and I used to ride my bike past the elementary school Stephen Stills went to as I went to UF. I still have yet to leave my music mark on Gainesville- Maybe one day for Christ ✝️
I am in the front row! I'm so happy I went to this! I consider myself blessed, being able to see Tom Petty on seven occasions. This was for sure an amazing show in that I could dictate my perspective. It was nearly the same when I watched him in Oregon, with Joe Cocker... WOW! And the two shows with Mudcrutch in LA, was such a treat. I also have a special place in my heart for the shows with... The Replacements and Stevie Nicks in New England. So much greatness was brought to our lives through TP & The Heartbreakers! Miss you so much!!!
I love his concerts best I've ever been to. Just baddass music , not a lot of bs show dancing just Badass . Mike Campbell , Petty, tightass band. Awesome.
I wish I saw him in concert. I taped one off Axis channel with him in Gainesville Florida. It was Excellent!!! I watch it all the time & sing my heart out while folding all the laundry!🤣 🤣
That man Is the one artist I regret not seeing lives. I’ve been to so many shows but I never got to see him and now it’s too late. You’ll be missed Tom
I have also seen many concerts. Luckily I did catch TP during his 30th Anniversary Tour. My biggest concert misses were Pink Floyd, Rush and Stevie Ray Vaughan. ✌
Ditto. I came close to seeing him in Philadelphia in 2008, but my wife and I had to get home to MA. I still remember being on I-95 still in Philly and talking to her about turning around and should we or shouldn't we until we decided we shouldn't. We should have turned around.
SPRPhilly I missed countless great shows because my wife said that we(or I) shouldn’t go. Thankfully, I have seen many great ones. However, never got to see Tom Petty.
Just finished watching Old Grey Whistle concert of 1978. Great then and great in 2012. At least I got to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers on his 40th Anniversary tour. It was an incredible night. Really miss him.
One of the biggest regrets of my life is that I never got to see You live in concert. You are not just Learning to Fly...You are Flying. Rest in Peace Tom. You'll live forever. Mike Pardue
I'm so sorry that Tom had to endure what he did towards the end, but he chose to entertain the masses of all his Rock n Roll fans all over the World. And as much as I miss him not being on the planet playing his music, It's the best feeling in the Universe to be able to tune in to UA-cam and even better PettyTube and catch all of his Rock n Roll music from all over the planet. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers are (imo) The best definition of great straight up Rock n Roll music. And his skills of song writing stand right alongside his mastery of songs. So, Everytime I need a lift and need to hear from America's top Rocker's, here is where I go for the love of Tom 💘 and The Heartbreakers. ROCK ON PEOPLE!!!
I still can't believe I saw Tom at Live Aid! OMG, "American Girl," "The Waiting is the Hardest Part," and "Refugee?" I thought I went to heaven that afternoon in Philly! I lost my friends there but found my love for Tom!!!!! This video totally rocks!!! The Heartbreakers were spot on! Mike on guitar really is a talented guitar player.
Live Aid!!! We drove in from Ohio overnight and bought some scalper tickets What an awesome day Just before Led Zep came on i watched Chevy Chase between the stage and front row help get some girl out that had passed out
CastleMc I hear ya brother, I’m paralyzed and in a wheelchair now but these songs take me back to when life was pure joy. Great memories with these songs as the backing tracks. Rip Mr Petty !
Tom was special.....look at the company he kept in The Wilburys!! And the Heartbreakers were an awesome group of talent as well. His music lives on. Thanks Tom, you are missed

Note to self: in next life, be a rock star like Tom Petty.
Russell Garr: Great “Note to Self.” Tom Petty just wanted it so much from a very young age. Having a father who physically and emotionally abused him sparked a fierce ambition to play rock and roll and live a life he loved. His mother was very loving and he was a lot like her.💘💘💘💘
Be Rock Star like self! Tom Petty was!
It's great, man.

My wife and I went to see him at this show. There were so many people there that day that barely saw the stage. We just sat in our chairs and heard it through the PA, from afar.
I was there too with wife and friends. I just slipped and slides and squeezed close to the stage! 😊🙂✌️
Driven, creative, motivated, respected, humble,
Focused, sarcastic,
Intresting, magnetic,
Gifted, intelligent,
Amazing perfectionist, irreplaceable.
He left the world better then he found
It. The perfect roll
Model.
I'm 10 minutes from his boyhood home, but he's my heart every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rest in peace . I went to every concert I could, mostly with my now deceased sister and her husband., me and my boyfriend, GOOD times!!
You can see that Mike's eyes are always on him..being concerned for your musical brother is love💖🙏😎
That performance was legendary!💜❤️
One of my favorite songs right here.I miss you and The HeartBreakers so much but you guys left us with music that will stand the test of time and every generation after us will know who you are and what great music and lyrics you wrote , from your heart which is rare these days but you accomplished something not many bands do and having a Nation named after you was proof of how much you are loved and will continue to be in my heart , thoughts and prayers forever.
If you were there … you were BLESSED 💯
🕊🌹💎🌹🕊
I HAVE NEVER HEARD HIM SWEAR. RESPECT FOR EVERY FAN, AWESOME R.I.P. TOM. I;M 66,LIVE SIXTY MILES FROM GATORVILLE, AND THE OLD FARM. MEMORIES FOR THE AGES. I FEEL BLESSED, MET YOU TWICE,JUST LIKE A FRIEND. ,THANK YOU HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN, #1 IN MY HEART.
The Dr said you'll never play the guitar again and I said fuck that ....
........I live in Gainesville Florida........ where HWY 441... runs through the town ....”Like 441 like the waves crashing on the beach”.
RIP Legend! You were my first concert at Richfield Coliseum. Love all of the inspiration I feel from you.
Awesome.
I'm green with envy!

Come over to Fish Jesus, the TRUE Saviour of the depths, down in the Caribbean and you’ll be blessed forever!! PRAISE FISH JESUS,!!
Jhon, I was front and slightly stage left in Grand Marshall! See my post from a few minutes ago! (Jan, also known as "the bean shaker" at Jazz Fest.)
I was there for that one....
Another killer set. TPATH can't give a bad performance!
Was at this show.. last time I got to see him
Rest in peace Tom Petty, you were a brilliant musician and what you have created forever remains in us!
Ned Rini big problem brother, you missed one of the best. This from a guy that seen Tom over 12Xs such a great show....✌️
He is the one I always wanted to see in concert but I never did. My biggest regret.
Ditto. I came close to seeing him in Philadelphia in 2008, but my wife and I had to get home to MA. I still remember being on I-95 still in Philly and talking to her about turning around and should we or shouldn't we until we decided we shouldn't. We should have turned around.

I missed countless great shows because my wife said that we(or I) shouldn’t go. Thankfully, I have seen many great ones. However, never got to see Tom Petty.
the world miss's you Tom, I miss you, thank you for your greatness...
The undeniable chemistry with Mike & Tom. ❤️
I loved that man so much! may he rest in peace. His music just touches me. God bless you Tom, for what you have done to the music industry.
I was there!! Great show!!
Live Aid!!!
We drove in from Ohio overnight and bought some scalper tickets
What an awesome day
Just before Led Zep came on i watched Chevy Chase between the stage and front row help get some girl out that had passed out
Cheers friends
