Love Stevie Woodwin. No other words could describe how great he is! Could never get tired of listening to him. What an era of MUSIC! So glad I experienced the ppl places music musicians! Never in my lifetime will there ever be again the sound or what I mentioned again. It was “heavy” times were great, confusing maybe to some looking for “something “ but I never left that time or place like many did! A true hipped if u wanna label me as such at 64. ✌️ I don’t regret anything I ever did. If 1 wish, it’d be I wish I would of known then what I know now. Still, those times & when I listen to just blow me away!
Bonnie Raitt does a wonderful version as well with Lowell George and John Hammond live in a New England radio broadcast from 1972. Music meant so much more back then, inspired Tom too. ❤
Just darn Great! I was lucky enough to see Tom Petty in Berkeley about a week before he left us - and the following week I went to see Steve Winwood @ The Fox Oakland. 2 of the best...I’m thankful....
Tom would have been 67 today. Only God knows what his music meant to me over many years. And still will...thank you for sharing this. It is good to see the Heartbreakers smile, especially Tom. I pray he is where there are many rooms, at the Top.
That has to be surreal in a way. Even though they're all professionals, you can see the look of: "Man! I'm on stage with Steve Winwood!" on Petty's face. At least, it seems that way.
Well, major talents like Petty and Campbell probably have an even greater appreciation of Winwood than do amateurs. So it makes sense for them to be in awe of his talent.
It's great to see the band enjoying the performance as much s the audience. Steve Winwood has always been a favourite of mine. A unique vocal and multi instrumental talent
Such a great singer! I still remember hearing Gimme Some Lovin’, Spencer Davis in about 1966, and being astonished to hear that Steve Winwood was 16 years old at the time. What a monster talent, guitar, keyboards, singing, and writing great songs..
I feel so blessed to have seen Tom Petty and Steve Winwood tour together, and I always thought I’d get to see Tom again in my life, unfortunately it was not to be . It was a shock and pure sadness when we lost Tom Petty….🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I moved around alot my 1st 20 yrs and had a re-occuring bad dream where I would go from home to home, looking for where I now lived.........I would always get up and play this song, with tears. It helped.
Love it. All the musicians on stage come over and stand in front of Steve before they play his song. One of the great songs of this or any generation...I can't find my way home.
When Eric Clapton says “you’re one of the best guitarists out there and nobody knows it “ well that pretty much sums it up for Winwood.
You betcha
Blind faith. The whole audience knows this song. We really had some great music in the 70s.

Need to drag out my traffic album...bring back some memories...such a distinctive voice..
Two incredible legends..
Thanks for posting this great tune. Took me back in time there. At least it was for a minute or two.
These were the days when you never knew who would pop in to jam...no contracts, no 'Featuring'...just musicians making music.
N.J. Qualls now they don't even use instruments!!!! PEACE
Absolute classic right here. Petty's music lives forever. It's one of the gifts that keep giving.
All the good ones are leaving us ... Listen to Tom all the time one of the best singer song writers of all time
His music will never die !!!!
I am in tears. I have loved this song since original recording on Blind Faith album. Loved Joe Cocker 's cover version. Now this. Tom Petty and Steve Winwood making a great classic rock song even greater. Just when I thought it couldn't be done!
Legends always find more ways to make an old soul cry. ua-cam.com/video/eoSn2Y-b6wI/v-deo.html
Winwood’s voice is so incredible! What a musician!
Two of my lifelong favorites on stage together, doing one of our timeless favorites. What could be better ?
What an awesome pair!! Two of the GREATEST Musicians ever on this PLANET🌎🌍🌏
Bonnie Raitt does a wonderful version as well with Lowell George and John Hammond live in a New England radio broadcast from 1972. Music meant so much more back then, inspired Tom too. ❤
This track is more special in light of Tom's sudden death. Rest in peace, Thomas Earl Petty. You are missed.
No one can replace you
a special musician and man.
Definitely, pretty much watch this 2-to 3times a week- heart breaking
Tom, I still can't believe you are gone...from this dimension anyway....
Love this song and with Tom Petty up on stage just makes it even better. Rest in Peace Tom...We lost a great man. There is a hole in my Heart!
Das wird es so nie wieder geben, beide live erlebt, einfach nur ein Erlebnis gewesen.Schon lange her, aber immer noch beide Musiker im Ohr!
I really miss Tom Petty, and I wish I had seen this concert in person. Steve Winwood is another favorite.
Petty and Mike Campbell look so freaking happy to be sharing the stage with Winwood on this tune.
Yeah, looks like they both feel honored to have Stevie on stage with them.
In 1969 when I first heard this song it touched my wounded spirit... it still does. It always will. Thank you, Steve.
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers were so good that they could back up anybody.
Saw them with Bob Dylan in 86/87-awsome
I love to hear this song every day, wonderful!
It's great to see the band enjoying the performance as much s the audience. Steve Winwood has always been a favourite of mine. A unique vocal and multi instrumental talent
O.K., I'll go with 'unique'. Still has always been a wonderful musician, though.
For sure.
I loved the grin on Tom Petty and his lead guitarist while they were jamming.
Such a great singer! I still remember hearing Gimme Some Lovin’, Spencer Davis in about 1966, and being astonished to hear that Steve Winwood was 16 years old at the time. What a monster talent, guitar, keyboards, singing, and writing great songs..
Yeah WHO Knew
Steve Winwood is a musical genius.💜
I feel so blessed to have seen Tom Petty and Steve Winwood tour together, and I always thought I’d get to see Tom again in my life, unfortunately it was not to be . It was a shock and pure sadness when we lost Tom Petty….🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
God came down and blessed humanity with Stevie Winwood,
After almost 50 years this song just keeps getting better
Amen
I moved around alot my 1st 20 yrs and had a re-occuring bad dream where I would go from home to home, looking for where I now lived.........I would always get up and play this song, with tears. It helped.
Mike Campbell is so talented. Plus the rest of the Heartbreakers just so adaptive. Very good!! Excellent
Love it. All the musicians on stage come over and stand in front of Steve before they play his song. One of the great songs of this or any generation...I can't find my way home.
