  • New and improved version of the concealment shelf build. The first version I made was one of my very first UA-cam videos and to honest I had no clue what I was doing. So I decided to remake the video to a higher quality and to talk about the business side of things as well as changes I've made. I've had a ton of interest in this build for a woodworking side hustle or for incorporating it into a woodworking business. If you're the type of woodworker that likes to have plans in hand then check out my Etsy shop. Hope this helps!

"I hope this video is better than the last one". Are you KIDDING me?? This couldn't be any better unless you came over and helped me in person! You not only shared your knowledge but your passion. I don't think you can know how many people you have positively influenced. Thank you.

I really appreciate your videos. Seriously. Nothing is worse then to see an idea that you have in mind find a video and the person plays crappy music through the whole thing and doesnt even bother to list materal mesurements. I enjoy all your content. Really , thank you mathew.

the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

I am a unwillingly retired person due to a traumatic work injury and I am looking for something to keep my hands and mind busy. I have 95% of the tools already and been thinking about doing stuff like this for a while now and I am pulling the trigger and ordered enough stuff to build a few of these. I am heading to Home Depot this weekend to get the plywood and trim boards to make my first one. I am hoping to make this a side hustle because we all know disability insurance does not pay the bills. I would like to make a few of them a month. Thanks for an excellent how to video on the shelf. I wish more creators had as much details as you show. Most of them show tid bits and then viola they are done. Keep up the great work!

What a fantastic video! It's very informative and easy to follow. Thank you for taking the time to do it, even though you had to endure the motorcycle noise. Kids - God love 'em! Mine are the same way and just as noisy.
On another note: Thank you for taking the time to share your trade secrets to help others make money. You didn't have to do that, and I want you to know that it is greatly appreciated! Little money-making projects can be a game-changer, especially during these challenging economic times.
Take good care, and God Bless!!

Wow. I recently have been dealing with a back injury and been trying to brainstorm how i can make extra money since times are tough. I have a small woodworking shop and have been making stuff for years, mostly, home renos but i have had to slow down significantly. I can't DO cabinets/installs anymore because of my health... these videos are inspiring. THANK YOU for sharing. You definitely earned a sub here and two thumbs up!

Amazed that I just found this channel. It is by far the best I've ever seen, great job with explanations and the demos are what amateurs like me need! Thanks for your obvious desire to help other people.

I agree 100%. The amount of channels I've skimmed through before diving into his is crazy. I just found him today and have watched about 20+ videos. I find his teaching style to be simple, but detailed enough for a beginner like me not to be turned off by certain lingo that I don't understand. Also, his filming style has NO fluff except for the intro which is pretty badass if you ask me. If you read this Mr. Peech, I've been loving your videos and have been learning a load. Rock on breh. 🤘

Have you sold any yet? I’m going to build a couple things this weekend and get some ads up. Just wondering if you have had any success?

@@cygnus1965, I have not. I have spent the past nearly two months moving to a new home. Well, I say that I haven't sold anything but I did sell a headboard that I made about 5 years ago and sold due to our move.
I now am going to need to build a workshop on our property, but my wife and I have seriously discussed me deciding on a couple of products to make and sell in the area.
I hope you'll push forward and build something to sell. You've got this!

Hey Matthew, good video. Appreciate all the information you share with the community. One tip on the corners: you can use a screwdriver or wrench to roll the corners over if you don't get a perfect match. It folds the fibers over and covers any gaps; where as sanding might expose more. Again, good builds. I've already built a few mantles for customers using your distressing techniques. I also built some floating shelves where I only used a wire brush to age the wood, without any hatchet or other markings. Turned out great. It's crazy how you can turn boring framing lumber and turn it into something someone wants to hang in their home.
