You are an inspiration mate! It’s not swimming but because of you I have taken the leap and signed up to a 29k race in the Peak District!!! Thanks Ross!
Legend! Been looking forward to this for some time; what a feat and what a story to watch unfold here, well done Ross & Gymshark! Been such a massive inspiration in my life - drawing motivations from watching the Great GB Swim through my own surgery & recovery, to the fell runs & ice swims while recovering mentally, and finally getting back after it with my own Adversity training with the goal of general physical preparedness - all led me to landing the job I have now at Gymshark! Hero, can't wait to see what's next
You are like a superhuman, i really admire you, great job for apl of this adventure ! I'm gonna put myself to work, hopefully you will hear of me in the years that are coming
Inspiring (Side note, I worked in Fort Augustus, Loch Ness, Scotland 🏴 right next to that lake about 20 years ago. Cheers from a Canadian in Taiwan 🇹🇼
The last two minutes of this. The evolution of seeing self through ego...to self as a legacy and truest values. Astonishing feat...but it's how you carried it. Beautiful work.
Ross is just an absolute legend! There is 0% chance that there will ever be anyone else remotely as inspiring, humble and resilient. For me he is the God of Sport and shows that you can achieve anything with the right mindset. So so grateful to be able to experience him!❤️
10k likes it absolutely underrated... Ross is THEE man and the production/quality of this all is bar none. You may not get the views/likes yall deserve but I hope you deserve the most well deserved thumbs up in history. thank you so much this is amazing
This is not only mind-boggling, but also an incredibly well-made and beautifully shot documentary. Ross, you’re truly amazing and we’re blessed to live in the age of Ross Edgley. Your positivity is what I admire the most about you. Always a smile on your face, no matter the adversity. What an inspiring man. Your dad would be beyond proud.
Ross is easily one of the most inspiring persons in the world for me... I don't even swim often, but i'm just completely fascinated by his mentality, positivity, endurance & everything else that makes him Ross Edgley! I'm striving to build a positive mindset like him, that even stays in though times and to always keep laughing ☺ Absolute Legend!
I remember following the Great British Swim back in 2018 and can remember the episode where you got a phone call from land with some bad news from back home. I was unaware of the news you had received but knowing now what it was and thinking back to how well you held yourself Ross for the rest of the swim is remarkable and so inspiring to me to always try to be positive and tackle life with a smile and a sense of humour. Thanks for being awesome, Ross
This is on another level. Not the swim directly but the perspective it gives to life, to pain, to peopl complaining because it s not sunny today and the day after because it is too hot, to our fears, pains and challenges. Ross properly experimented here what is to push the mental boundaries. This is not about fitness, maybe the first 24h. This is about human mind, human nature and thr limit of our capabilities. Did he break a record. Of course, and one way more important than just km or hours. We are all unique, the conditions are unique, it is not merely comparable. I followed every second of the great British swim, I ve read cautiously every page of the art of resilience, I think that I m practicing my resilience, my mental strength regularly. This hit on another level. As a father, a husband, you left me profoundly inspired. I hope to find this strength But also Ross, take care. Cheers from Switzerland
When training, I always think “What would Ross do” and I always push myself to new limits. Ross is on a whole other level of mental focus, resilience and strength.
So much to love about this documentary. The words of wisdom about making a positive impact in the world through inspiring others rather than measuring success in trophies was profound. Ross is such a character and very sharp witted even when mentally fatigued. I particularly enjoyed the part when a member of the support team was talking about the rain and Ross replied “I’m already wet”.
Thank you Ross for always Inspiring the world. With your humility and truthfulness. I lost my mom to cancer. I miss her everyday of my life. She is the bravest soul I have ever known. Bless you kind soul . I am sorry for you loss. Your dad sounded like a true legend. Peace be with you kind sir. You have nothing to prove dear friend. You have an enormous heart. To me that is your legacy. You make the world a better place.
I am so very sorry to hear about ur beautiful dad ! He raised an absolute winner and gentlemen who has given so much to the world and man kind like ur dad . Thank you Ross😊
"So often an adventure gives you what you need. Not nessecary what you want." Those are the words of TRUE LEGEND! Love it bro, you are a living example of what it mean to fully live your life!
Beautiful storytelling beyond a record-breaking swim - with complex layers of fatherhood, brotherhood and gratitude. Everything from the sound design, colour grade and editing is absolutely masterful. I love how positive and humble Ross is, thanks for making this inspirational video!
Absolutely mind blowing human. It baffles me how during his rests he is treading water! Just incredible. Ross is by far one the most motivational, kind, true athletes I have ever seen. As all of the comments say, your dad Ross would be more than proud. What a legacy he has left in you for the world to enjoy. Bravo sir.. BRAVO.
This is touching to watch lost my mum in October to cancer and u said alot of things that connect to way how I feel now. Pleasure to watch absolute incredible effort
The true definition of positivity. No matter what challenge Ross attempts he always throws himself into and gives 100%. Don’t see the challenge as a failure. The Loch takes no prisoners.Your Dad left a legacy behind and with your motivation, resilience and ability to laugh off any given challenge you are doing the same. Your Dad will be proud Ross.
Simply incredible from Ross and his support team. You can't fault this man for his determination, grit, and most of all his philosophy for training and life. Hope to meet him at Lift the City
People like Ross are what make the world a better place. I feel so much appreciation for life and the ability to just simply move after watching this. Much love ❤
Ross - Your story about your father held such value for me during my own endurance swim. Last week I dedicated my 10 mile swim from 🇿🇦 mainland - Robben Island - 🇿🇦 mainland to my late father who passed suddenly on Dec 29th. So thank you Ross for sharing your story and helping me to achieve my challenge and to come to terms with my grieving!
You're a total inspiration, Ross! I've read both of your books, and I'm always so impressed at how humble you are, and how much you've done and continue to do for others through your mind-boggling feats.
I didn’t get what I wanted I got what I needed, wow there’s some humility, depth, resilience, wisdom and learning in that statement. Grieving and finding purpose in the dark waters of Loch Ness. Incredible 🙏🏼
Love the journey Ross and your experience, comments of the cancer ward. Brought a tear to my eye thinking about my experiences in both scenarios. Big love mate.
Truely Inspirational. A sheer demonstration of discipline and self resilience. This stands in a league of its own in comparison to any other human endeavours.
My brain can barely understand the struggle of a four/five hour slow paced swim, so when i see what Ross accomplished 🤯i know it's amazing because it's beyond human standard, but for the same exact reason i cant digest and do justice with a comment to how great this was, you are truly an inspiration man .
Unbelievable. You just kept going despite all the curveballs. Definitely a great and inspiring show of what the human body can achieve and what a talented athlete/philosopher/student that Ross Edgley is. The world would be a better place with more Rosses.
You are such an inspiration Ross! You literally drive yourself to the point to physically incapability. To be able to override the body's signals and continue on regardless. To do it willingly... and actively go out to look for more adventure?! They will make a marble sculpture of you one day....
Just watched this and found it so inspiring, I remember having my first ever tennis lesson from your dad Ross and playing football against Scott and being at school with Craig and anyone I know who has played tennis in Grantham knows your dads name that shows how much of an impact he had on people ❤
Oh Ross.. where do I even begin mate. I guess that you’re quite simply a hero. The positivity, the unbreakable will, the way you carry yourself as a polite gentlemen, your ambition, literally everything mate. As a guy who grew up prodominantly without a male role model, I’m sure I speak for many young men alike in saying that you have inspired us all. And that you’ve kept us here on this earth.. you’ve shown that any obstacle can be overcome when you set your mind to it, and for that we are forever in your debt. Thank you to your parents for bringing you into this earth. Thank you to you for just being you. And man do we need more f*cjing Ross Edgley’s in this world. I’ll end this with the same way I started it. You’re my hero man and god bless you and your family ❤
waaaaay better than some of these douchy edgelords young guys like to follow. Ross is a champ, positive effort, sharing and attitude all day long. Speaks of 'alpha' way louder than anything else.
I started watching this to inspire me to be a better athlete... But far more importantly it has made me want to be a better dad and better human. Thanks Ross 🙌🤙
Just GRATEFULL for having such and amazing person as example for all of us. Few years ago I did a Recod Running 50 marathons in 50 different countries in 50 consecutive days and ROSS was the biggest inspiration for it. THANK YOU
Im sure your pops is proud of you Ross. You’re always an inspiration. I had a bad case of cellulitis after a Muay Thai fight in Thailand. The doctor said 24 hours longer and they would have had to amputate. It was treacherous.
The guy is an absolute machine. Brilliant BRILLIANT athlete but such a nice, humble, positive guy too. Wish him every success and health in the future You’re dad will be smiling down beaming with pride and admiration ❤ 🔥👍🏽😊
Wow, Ross, this is amazing to watch. What a team effort but what an inspiration you are to everybody. Your positive outlook is clearly infectious to everybody around you.
Got to know Ross through a MattDoesFitness Video a few years back. Even in that single video I found his mindset was so fascinating that I started to follow along his journey. From swimming around the UK to now accomplishing this amazing feat for his late father. What an amazing athlete and just human being in general
Grateful Ross for putting yourself out there again and all the empowering kick in personal resilience button. Grateful Gymshark for bringing this to us.
Truly inspiring Ross! The bit about the phone call from your brother got me! Having lost my Dad to cancer. Your Dad would be so proud! Absolute legend! From an Ex Kingsmen.
Just want to say the BIGGEST thank you to Gymshark 🙏 …. 2023… Chapter 2: loading 😊

With all due respect, this is not about you or her.
@@herewegoagain8186 LOL! You don't get it.
I'm struggling to put into words how beautiful, moving and inspirational this was to watch. Your Dad would be so proud of you Ross.
How he spent 50+hours swimming without being eaten by the Loch Ness monster is beyond me
Nessie doesn’t like the taste of the English. Got a more cultured palate. 😂
LOL!
Incredible is the only word to describe ross. You did your dad proud 👏
Absolute machine. A mammoth project and a pleasure to have witnessed and be a small part of it
I’m 10 minutes in and this is already an extraordinary documentary. The footage and editing is phenomenal, well done to that person/ team.
