My truck is17 years old! May get a new one next year. I'm sure my new truck will have all the new things! Good info Steve. Yeah! It worked! I have a lot of Crap in my truck! Bob's Your Uncle!
Hi Papa
The thief's are always looking for an easy score so these will make it a lot harder.
I tested it out and in a pinch wrapping the fob in foil does the trick. Foil breaks down quickly so I tried forming a foil pouch that I could slide into a Quart Ziplock and then slid a smaller snack Ziplock into the foil Ziplock. That worked as well. Then I bought an RFID pouch yesterday. Even with a pouch, there is no way to avoid your signal being exposed when you first drive up and lock your car. Same thing with credit cards in an RFID wallet which are protected unless you are actually using them.
Yes steve good job it will slow the thief down and get caught by you.
Always have the pouch with you all the time and a lot of people carry with them same way as the z way ✅
It will say No Go Signal from your keyfob to get no access to your truck they will might give up and leave it and move on to another target
Your vehicle is safed by them
Always protect with the RFID pouch to your truck all the time

Make it Stop Happening to You
I bought a couple of these and they worked fine for about a month and then we started to notice that if we got within about 5 ft the doors would unlock and the outside mirrors would unfold. Every month it would unlock a little furthur from the car. So beware and check yours.
Interesting , mine have been working great all this time . You definitely got a defective one .
Good Evening Steve, Yes you can do the same for your credit card too and thank you for your informative video Sir Cheers ( FULL WATCH ) 👌👍😇🍻
Hi Dave
Never thought about credit cards 👍
With newer (2016+) Toyotas, you can simply hold down the lock button on your fob, and WHILE holding it down, click the unlock button TWICE, and it will lock your car and turn off the fob signal until you click unlock or lock again. The pouches are great for indoor storage of keys.
@@richritter 👍
Good info. Its probably why there are so many buyers who write negative reviews on Amazon because they put the fob in the wrong section of the pouch.
Thanks , that's so true . I don't take them Amazon reviews too seriously as most are kinda bogus like many so called youtube reviews 😉
One would think the insurance companies would give them out for free. Have a good one Steve 😊
Hi Joe
Yes that's a good idea but I'm thinking the premiums reflect the losses or for an insurance company and the profit , so to hand them out might reduce profits :)
I’m thinking not that big a problem and was being nice 👍 my BMW has a tracker device on it. And most big box stores have cameras. Cars still have windows. Feeding people and wages much bigger problem😊
Equally important while traveling. Imagine being several states from home with no friends for hundreds of miles then coming out of a hotel to find your vehicle missing.
Yes absolutely Patrick. They are so many reports of theives that hide in shopping malls to restaurant lots waiting for a nice vehicle to drive in. I put my remote in my pouch before leaving the vehicle as they can capture your remote frequency from quite a long distance.
And another thing..., I have an auto rear hatch that opens with the key fob. Several times I have gone out to the garage and found my rear hatch open. I've taken to carrying the fob alone in my left pocket without any keys attached that might accidentally press the button when I bend over or lean against a counter. I bought a plastic fob cover hoping it would make it harder to press that button but no luck, I still found the hatch open once. to prevent accidental activation, I began looking for a hard case or flip case, kind of like the old cell phones or Star Trek Communicator, with no luck. My new RFID pouch has solved that problem.
👍
Picked up a pair about 2 months ago. Seem to work good. Time will tell I guess. Rick
Rick I think so far its the only thing out there stopping the buggers :)
As we get fancier and fancier...we are going to need a pack mule to carry all that new stuff...Never ends. but they will never steal my old truck...CHEERS
So true Gator , the wife's nice suv in another story :)
You guys and your fancy trucks and purses for your key fobs. 🙄
HAHAHA
Great review Steve. It seems like every night vehicles are getting stolen in the Toronto area exactly how you’ve explained. I’m getting a couple of these. Thanks Buddy!
Doug the city of Brampton handed out 5000 for free , they were stealing vehicles like crazy every night.
@@SteveRobReviews We are hearing about these incidents up here Steve.
Dodge Ram is in the top 5 stolen.
@@SteveRobReviews Thats why I’m getting one of these things lol
Very smart idea, never gave it much thought till now Steve. Thanks
Hi Lloyd
Gone in 60 seconds is a real thing :)
How's she goin'? Nice idea but I think it would be a nuisance after a bit. But I'd be some sorry if someone stole my car and I had the security pouch hanging on the key rack by the back door and my key fob in my pocket eh!! LOL Take care!!
HAHAHA, so true Mike . I think it's more of a city thing as thousands are stolen every year in under 60 seconds. I imagine you living in the backwoods of NS Appalachia nobody has to even lock their doors :)
Once you found the right pouch….Bob’s your uncle 😁👍
Hi Dave
I knew I could figure it out :)
If the front of the pouch failed, why did you suggest that one could put their charge card in it? If they could clone your key fob, they could clone your charge card too.
Hi Frank
The front pouch is where you put the keyfob as the vehicle will not start on the protective side. I figured that one out the hard way:)
Steve Rob, there's another possibilities that can steal the (FOB RFID signal code) for example lending the fob to employees of repair shops, lube shops, tire shops and etc that need the fob key to start the vehicle. but scanning FOB code going house to house is very risky idea especially for the thieve.!!
Great observation. Many criminals are known to infiltrate businesses in stealing vehicles but overall sticking to reputable businesses is your best choice. I also cover the vin with a piece of paper . If autotheft was bumped up to 10 years minimum sentence and 100% restitution for all costs after release would cut the stolen vehicles drastically. Crime does pay even after their caught it seems as my suggestion would be considered too harsh for those poor criminals:)
Great review in a real world setting - thanks Steve - it would be very upsetting to have one’s vehicle stolen. One neighbour of mine uses The Club (steering wheel lock) on his ‘22 Tundra along with a faraday box and don’t blame him. Cheers
Hi Ed
The sad part is nobody does time for stealing vehicles , catch and release in Canada .
@@SteveRobReviews I couldn’t agree more Steve
Or you could just buy a Ford. No one steals those! 🤣
Thanks Steve✌
Hi Marc
LOL , Actually it seems Dodge Ram is the #1 truck stolen , friggen dodge , who would of guessed 😆
Good to know it works Steve, excellent review, pay attention to this man people.
Hi Kenny
Thanks bud much appreciated 👍
Hey, glad you found the right pouch there SR. If anyone could figure it out, I knew it was you buddy. I can see where these are useful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Ronnie 👍
@@SteveRobReviews Anytime buddy.
Such a good idea Steve~! I really like that~
Hi Annie
Good to keep in mind as all new vehicles today are using these new keyfobs.
Great idea we have one and works ok. A wallet one is good idea. Cheers steve another good one
Thanks Jason , it seems that for many vehicles are easier to steal today than before , when we never had any security systems 😉
@@SteveRobReviews Very true
Getting 2 pouches delivered tomorrow; more security.
👍
Glad to see the test with the vehicle! thanks!
Hi Sylvan
It's a great idea that does exactly what it claims and at a very reasonable price. Cheers 👍
Hi Steve, Another great find. Thanks Again
Hi Ronald
Thanks buddy 👍
Would be good for cell phones
Hi Alex
My phone is definitely too big .
So you're saying not slow or not fast ?😂
Yes absolutely, medium speed 😅
