Thank you! My intimidation-ness(?!) is about 90% less after watching this. I've been using Serato for about 10 years, but Rekordbox is mapping better to my DDJ-FLX4, so moving over, and this helps a lot!
Hey, just getting started with this software. Seems quite complicated. Serato on a previous controller seemed to work more automatically. But you really describe everything really clearly here. By the end of the video, all the pieces sort of start clicking into place. This will help me grasp the software. Thanks for the helpful vid!

Hi Deep. Excellent tutorial video. I got a new DDJ-FLX4 three months back. I downloaded rekordbox and just pasted the folders as it is by drag and drop method. I also got some music in rekordbox from my friend's pendrive through import mode, but i dont have the original file for it. I wanted to know is there any way i could re-install the rekordbox software and start all over again as explained by you by creating folder and playlist without losing any of the imported songs from the pendrive? I am very new to this and this is a great help. However moving the bar to the start of the waveform/track means all my hot queen points are now in the wrong place on so many tracks. Took me so much time setting them, and now I’ll have to adjust every one by a small amount 😩🤯🤯

I have a question. So for example you put all of your music in the 'All Bollywood' folder and the punjabi folder would be empty because you are using a playlist for that folder. So in my case i would make a House Music Folder with all my house music and the subfolders like Techno, Tech House will be empty since i'm doing that in rekordbox? Because you told in the video that otherwise you have the same track double, aka 1 track in all house music and a duplicate in the Tech House folder. I have a question .i have ripped a CD and converted to MP3 no problem, Then i have named the tracks and the artist so i know what track is , But the problem is when i import the tracks in to rekord box the description of the tracks and the artist just reverts back to " Unknown Artist" & just a track number , But no artist or song title ??.Do you have any ideas why its not carring over the track info into rekord box? Any Help would be appreciated Thank You.

Bro. There are many different pen drives that you can use. But anything which is USB 3.0 or above should be good to go. 👍 Main thing to see is the read and write speeds what's important is to be able to load the tracks on the players faster. 👍

Yes. CDJ's support USB3.1. Out of many great performing pendrives out there I use the SanDisk Ultra fit. Mainly because it doesn't protrude out of the USB port on the CDJ's. Here's the reason why. I play at a lot of private parties and people often come close to the console from the opposite side and put their hand out asking for a request or simply even to shake hands or any such thing and in one instance this person's hand hit the USB drive and broke the USB and the port connections inside of the CDJ. Thanks to link function I was able to perform without hiccups but it could have been worse.

I've used them for over 4 Years now. Yes the metal ones really get heated up but they have discontinued the product. And launched the new polycarbonate ones which doesn't get heated up. Regardless I have personally not seen any issues even with them running after 4 years and almost 6 to 8 hours a day. Safe to say you can go for them. Also what I do is I have two pendrives with the same copy so even if one ever failed I have the second one ready. Although I've never used the second drive.

Hi I am stuck I have a new ddj 400 and rekordbox 6 I cannot put the files in the folders o created in the Playlist as instructed. When I try both methods as I try to put the music in the respective folders I get the no entry symbol 🚫 I can place them in collections but that all jumbled Help .....🤔🤔

So, one question that I have that unfortunately you didn't answer is the following: I have already made playlists in my Collection, and when I update the playlists with new tracks what is the best way to update the playlists on the USB's? Is it simply hitting "Sync manager" - will it update only the new tracks or will it erase that playlist and replace it with the updated one? I'm afraid of doing it this way because I have USB's with music from another computer, e.g. I have two USB's with a "Deep House" playlist. USB A has tracks from my older computer + my new one, while USB B only has tracks from my new computer. I don't want the tracks from my old computer on USB A to be deleted when I update the playlist on that same USB.

After I've my music in my "New Downloads & Sortings" folder, first I'll move it to the right place in the specific "Rekordbox Playlists" sub- folders - like House Music. Hi bro I have a problem with Recordbox software. After creating the folder and loading some tracks on playlist. While on playing nearly for 15 to 20 min automatically the tracks which I loaded on playlist disappears except the folder 📂 and playlist I can see.. on the navigator. But all the tracks gets disappeared from the Playlist. Could u please help me to soughout this issue.
But I...it would be nice if the android app also works on audio. On my Lenovo sound is way over clipping and change buffer size is not working , nomatter how I set it . If connected to DDJ FLX4, master out also clipping / distortion, so I can't use it ..app needs to bel ooked at again.
I love rekordbox but the only thing that I can't stand is that the bpm's are totally wrong especially with hip hop music I find myself changing beat grids way to much if they fix this issue it would be rock solid for me to use regularly

Interesting question. Any track you want to play from any source has to be imported into Rekordbox to play in the software. :)

Because the software sucks. All the other major software is allow you to do that but record box is a joke

Music was imported and down loaded in the Rekordbox Clouds. Can’t play them.

For recordbox software doest 8gb ram and i5 processor is enough for smooth performance (in Windows laptop)
