Hello Carlo! A question please. I am very interested in learning to be a DJ of a very high level with your skills and I love them. Is the course you have paid for? And what can you learn? Thank you. A big greeting and happy new year 🎉❤
Hey Carlo, Ive been able to download the link for the ddj400 STEMS but i seem to be having a problem. Ive been able to get the STEMS function on RekordBox, but I still cant get the function to work on the ddj400 itself with the Shift Key + Sampler. it still brings to the key shift function. If you can help me out with this or point me in the right direction that would be amazing. Thank You!
Man, I was watching your videos thru my whole journey with being a Dj, from buying my first controller to having my first small gig in a club few days ago, thank you a lot for that ❤, also I must say, that feeling when you get into the flow while performing is AWESOME
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I'm truly passionate about sharing knowledge and helping others grow. It means a lot to hear that you appreciate the effort. Your support keeps the motivation high!
Thank you for the video! I'm a 14 year old female DJ/Producer from the UK and your videos have given me so much help in my career so far! Thank you so much❤❤
It always makes me feel good when I see you recommend things I’ve been doing ever since I started mixing. Things like using cue points to mark specific sections in a track. It just made sense to me to have a visual representation of the bridge or the breakdown and build-up, etc. One thing I’ve noticed about my timing, I do FAR better cueing in the next track when I’m not looking at my display. When I do it by ear, I hit it dead on like 95% of the time.
That's awesome to hear! 😊 It's always great when techniques like using cue points resonate with your own mixing style. Having visual cues for different sections really helps, doesn't it? Keep rocking those mixes!
I saw this at a colleague of mine: I think the best layout for Serato DJ Pro is when you have your decks right and left, so that the wave form can be in the same line. It's long enough and you got a higher library, especially when you got sampler pane all the time enabled like me.
That's a clever setup! Having your decks side by side does make a lot of sense, especially when you want a more expansive view of the waveform. It's all about finding what works best for your workflow. Do you find it enhances your performance having everything laid out that way?
I'm a brand new DJ, but your content has been teaching me so much. Its like learning a new instrument. I really appreciate all of the free content and hope to be able to pay it back someday!

Appreciate you and your content so much, Carlo! You joked about DJ's paying taxes in one video, and I commented that I guess I'd have to start DJing. And you commented and laughed. So, I bought an FLX4 and have been going at it for about a month now with the guidance of your videos. I asked you on another video about where to get music - thank you so much for including the DJ pools segment in this video. Excited to see what you do in this new year!

3:06 thank you, think this stem feature will be great, but what file are you referring to, to enable the feature with the controller? I can’t see it clearly anywhere!
In the 7th part of your tutorial you talk about when it's time to start the next song you give an example of correct and wrong way to start a mix. I think it's important to mention why those points are the start for a next mix. And you don't need to know each song by heart for this. The power of 32 is something i repeat over and over again to starters. Except for Drum and Base it's what always comes back in every genre. When counting the beats in a song it comes always back and each time the first kick comes, it's a good point to start (understanding the technology before trusting on it) It takes a few sets with counting beats to let it go in your human system and once they understand the power of 32, they will enjoy mixing more and enjoy music much stronger. And there are tricks to learn how to match the beats without a sync or helping tools. The first old school dj mixing tool is the power of 32 beats. And understanding why it's ok to tick the red zone in a table is ok but when the red light on a fader stays on is not, is an important thing to know, Mixing without sync is very easy is you (prelisten with low tones out) the moment you turn it on and turn off the other is the moment to change the headphones to prelisten to the track without the low tones) In a live band it's also always the drummer who is in charge of the tempo, to match two different tempo's it's much easier to correct the difference. Even experienced dj's will not be to mix a full set correctly, if they try to match the beat with the beatless track. That said, I want to say that I find your tutorial very useful for starters.
One hundred percent agree on the 32s! I Just didn't delve into it here as I felt like that needed an entirely different video altogether (and it's not always true for all songs. Some have odd signatures and measures). I did make a video on manual beatmatching too, as I feel like that, in itself, needed it's own video! Given, those are great tips and techniques you put forth here!
Parabéns pelo trabalho Carlo , gosto quando o Serato Pro fica com os decks um em cima do outro e assim a wave forme acompanha o deck e tem uma boa visualização para comparar ambas
This was very useful. thanks so much. sometimes I use Traktor pro 3 with my other set up. do you happen to know how to set up Traktor the same way. thanks

What about can use on other devices😊?
These mostly work for Pioneer DJ Gear and gear that utilize Serato DJ!
@11:59 That's a Pro DJ setup for Skrillex?
Yes it is!
Parabéns pelo trabalho Carlo , gosto quando o Serato Pro fica com os decks um em cima do outro e assim a wave forme acompanha o deck e tem uma boa visualização para comparar ambas
It's pretty cool right? It's my preferred layout too!
Thank you for mappings !!!
You're very welcome! Make good use of it!
6:50 Back in the day, DJ's had feeling and experience in stead of beatcounters etc
There's still that nowadays! Things have just gotten a little more technological
Great Content!!!!
Thanks Hughes! Hope you were able to gather a couple of new settings from this video :)
Wow more amazing and useful content ... and for free! Thanks so much for all these videos.
More of these coming for sure! Glad you enjoyed this video buddy!
This was very useful. thanks so much. sometimes I use Traktor pro 3 with my other set up. do you happen to know how to set up Traktor the same way. thanks
Maybe one day I’ll make it a tutorial!
is this set up same with Serato DJ ?
Yep! This video caters to Serato and Rekordbox!
@@djcarlo thank U & Happy New Year !
Dude, thank for the awesome tips, i just downloaded the stems file. Looking forward to using stems!!!
You're gonna love it, I guarantee you!
Another great tutorial. Subscribed and bell has been clicked 👌
That means a lot!!
Probably a dumb question, but how do I add the stems to deck 2? They work beautifully on deck 1.
They should work with both decks! What happens when you apply stems to deck 2?
@@djcarlo they def do and I didn't realize. Thank you!
Can I get these settings using Virtual Dj? 🤔
There are some videos out there on VDJ settings! The same principles apply though
Do you have the stems mapping csv for DDJ 1000? please can you make one ? Thank you
Read the description on Sellfy! I linked a video showing how to activate Stems mode on that model
Unbelievably helpful video. Thanks!!
You're very welcome! Just a quick update to my old settings video 🥳
