I have no idea why, but After effects has never crashed on my low end 4gb pc. Its slow and the preview is so laggy its almost unbearable, but it rarely crashes
@@mohammadhisham7534 CC 2020 I think the main reason is cuz I don't overload it. While previewing stuff like beat sync where I don't need to see details in the video, I turn the resolution all the way down to 16x16(custom) and limit my work area(range) to 5 sec

just use a lower version of after effects, like 2018 or 2017 and try to preview with lower quality
