for those of you in here wondering if you should buy this laptop or one of similar spec (2018, 2019, 2020), 1.) make sure you really want a windows laptop, 2.) make sure you really want a small laptop, 3.) make sure you really need a graphics card that is essentially a 1050ti crammed into a tiny thin metal box (that will be noisy), and 4) make sure you are willing to pay pretty much $500 or more for the same specs you can find in another manufacturers laptop or even an older Razerblade for cheaper. I personally wouldn't buy this laptop again not because its a bad laptop but because you can get so much more for the same price while only sacrificing space, the new blade 14 and new m1x macs are a lot more worth it in my opinion but I bought this laptop when those 2 options weren't even out lol.

So I got this laptop and I totally agree with everything. But one thing that I dislike that you did not mention is the track pad. I feel like the apple trackpads are WAY better. But it is still OKAY.
Nothing will ever come close to the magic imbued into Apple's trackpads, probably until the end of time. I think you answered your own question. At what point does it become impractical? The whole point of the razer blade is that it is impractical. It is not meant for the customer who has a ton of choices. It is meant for the customer who has a ton of requirements looking for a solution. Razer is not pricing this as a laptop and neither should anyone look at it as such. Razer has priced it as a solution to an impractical idea. Granted there are much more powerful laptops out there for cheaper, but for the size? I doubt there are any that have the refinement of this. If you have a desktop on streroids or a thick giant laptop with a 2080 alongside a thin and light for formal work? This is not for you. If you want a laptop you can take along to a board meeting, then game the night away, but want it in a 13" laptop which fits into most business bags taking an A4 sized document? This is who it is for.
You're paying for the build. It's a mono body chassis and anodized. That adds quite a bit of cost compared to other laptops that have boards screwed down to plastic. So to say it's impractical because of price... It's not that impractical. People pay that for apple because they never spend more than $500 on a windows.. after tax, and automatically assume apple is better... It's not. You get what you pay for. If you're spending $1k+ on a MacBook, you have to buy a $1k+ windows to PROPERLY compare it. Unless you know how to shop specs, you can get away with a bit cheaper or same price with better specs if you settle for the "cheap" plastic build. Why would you want 2 laptops? One thin for productivity and one thick for gaming?? If for productivity you mean Photoshop etc, you're still going to need power which means $$. And the gaming laptop is obviously going to need $. So to spend all that money into ONE laptop that can do both AND be thin, it's not impractical. And please don't compare it to the performance you can get in a desktop. That's a seperate category as far as use. You only compare to a desktop if you want to talk JUST NUMBERS. We both know desktops are cheaper for $ for power. And you don't have to pick up the latest and greatest razer. A 2019 or even 2018 is literally just as good (obviously to a certain extent) and is either cheaper or can be found at great discounts). And spending that much money on a one time purchase is going to outlast that $500 laptop you'd have to buy 3-4x over however long that razer will last you. And I don't think I need to tell you 500x4 is $2k.

I have seen the ASUS ROG Flow being pretty much a new addition for either a budget price or the more reviewed pricier option. The Zenbook Pro Duo is likely another that you would like to check out if you are still undecided. @@RenyxGhoul Asus ROG is a scam for battery life, it acts as a superior option with the first week or two with like ,4-5 hours instead of the over 10 hr claim, then after a month it's not even half of that and turns into 1-2 hours of game time with the turbo not even turned on and the brightness needed to be turned to 0

I got the 10th gen and I am a little deceived for the price. The built quality is really good, but there are some defects (at least on my model), very minor, nothing alarming tho, but still. The battery life is really poor, not what I was expecting, and I have experienced some weird bugs and lags which is surprising considering it's a gaming laptop.
Really poor? that's not normal at all. Unless you are trying to game at medium settings for 7 hours (which is stupid since it's unreasonable on this kind of machine) you need to get a replacement stealth.
ASUS Zephyrus G14 is a good compromise between size and performance, smaller and lighter than every 15 inch yet has an RTX GPU unlike every 13 inch laptop
The battery life on that is a scam just like the g15 one, worst purchase I've ever made and it averages 2 hours sometimes 1 hour 30 mins gaming and that's without turbo, on turbo I say it lasts 30-45 mins
um, they are. Manufactures use the latest chips, not older models. So those who decide to make a bad choice and make machines using intel use 11th gen now, You can see it everywhere.
I'm a lawyer, so I mostly spend my day in Word documents. I want opening of files to be snappy. Surely this 4 core would suffice? I can find this laptop cheaper in my country than the Dell XPS.
Im switching to this from an old macbook air 2017 lower model, basically looking for more power, and primely a graphic card that can let me play almost anything even if im doing it in low or mid quality, so i think this would be an amazing upgrade
Give it a year, 30 series laptops with amd cpu will BLOW away anything we have today. And with 1500+ budget you can easily get a laptop that will play anything at highest setting with 100fps+. Trust me dont buy now if you want the best bang for your buck
Do you think he is a good creator that can afford all these programs? As a professional who works with the Adobe programs, it costs my organization a lot for my team to use. An (alright) tech reviewer doesn't have that kind of cash for good programs. I would recommend a channel like Linus Tech Tips for these kinds of comparisons (THAT THEY DID). Though don't search up "macbook vs razer blade". Go to their respective videos and find where they benchmark it and compare for yourself.
To people who want to buy razer blade stealth 13, I don't recommend you to buy this laptop because when I used it to play some Minecraft bedwars, the fans at the bottom didn't really cool down my laptop and after half an hour, the bottom rubber thing fell off because of the heat which stretched the rubber. It has now fell off and I have to spend 20 USD to buy a bottom thing again. And btw the laptop can't play call of duty warzone, just think carefully before you buy it.
I 100% recommend it because it has what some people NEED and actually research laptops. It is meant to dock to a razer core or some other e-gpu and external monitor to play high-intencity games. I believe your settings in minecraft must be off because my friend's works fine, and I am getting one myself next year!
I agree with everything except about the GPU. Putting in anything larger would compromise thermals and battery life significantly. Also, low-tier raytracing is kinda useless anyways. My hopes is for a 2021 stealth with AMD 5700U and a 3050ti
Facts, it's all about having battery life which is why the g14 and g15 are scams only having performance for gaming just for an hour or two at 0 brightness
RTX tensor cores really isn't a drawback IMO. I do agree that no user upgradable RAM is total BS though. Price is definitely higher than comparable models but I think it is at least a little justified by the metal high build quality. After owning it for a year now, I think my only main complaint is 16GB of RAM not being enough and my laptop doing frequent RAM paging.

@@Hamox Uh not exactly first off, and speed may not be everything here. We're talking about laptops, and they have different battery capacities; and the thermals are quite different between models. Make a choice based off more than speed and price!

I am a big fan of this Laptop and your Videos ❤️.
Just asking, don't you cover camera anymore?

I really enjoy your videos. It seems that the 11th gen Dell XPS 13 is a better laptop for less money (on the Windows side).
which dell xps because they are configurable. The xps lineup is generally more expensive for this same power.
Did you do a review of the Asus Zephyrus g14? It is one of the best thin and light gaming laptops.
THIS, exactly... now i've seen it go as low as US$ 1,150 on bestbuy, I'd really like to know your opinion about the G14... 14 inches of delicious keyboard and a fingerprint reader, let alone the much more strog cpu+gpu. I must say I usually don't like your reviews because they are all soo positive... now I really liked how you showed the real cons of this computer compared to the huge price! it is very usefull to know which aspects you find letdowns! thumbs up for this review!
@@renzomp3 Well, I suppose the keyboard is alright, tho personally I would like it to be less mushy and more clicky, w/ a more tactile feel, like the Macbooks. Over, great device. Trackpad is pretty good, not the best. JUST USE KEYBOARD AND MOUSE.
I really tempted to buy this laptops because of it's looks. Lol.
For cad and battery life, what your 13 inch laptop you recommend?
I have seen the ASUS ROG Flow being pretty much a new addition for either a budget price or the more reviewed pricier option.
The Zenbook Pro Duo is likely another that you would like to check out if you are still undecided. It is also very lightweight with at least 8 hours normal use for its non Pro version, the Pro version has much better features such as dual touch screen, high resolution, discrete GPU etc for a price
@@RenyxGhoul That mtherfker is 3 grand plus!!!! Hell in no fking way would you spend that much for a laptop for personal use
@@RenyxGhoul Asus ROG is a scam for battery life, it acts as a superior option with the first week or two with like ,4-5 hours instead of the over 10 hr claim, then after a month it's not even half of that and turns into 1-2 hours of game time with the turbo not even turned on and the brightness needed to be turned to 0
M1 helps you make video games, razor 15 is for playing games
helps you make? how?! It's not magic that going with a new chip helps. In fact it DOESN'T! Your team of devs need their game making programs to work n a whole new architecture!

I use it with another monitor haven’t really had any problems
What happens then?
@Jacob Zweifach What does your setup look like? I can help out with more info!
I LOVE SPECS!!!
this thing puts out so little heat energy it cant possibly be a warming blanket lol, your own body puts out at least 2x as much heat, likely more like 3-4x. i actually wish there was an option to just let it rip and use the entire laptop as a heat sink, try and burn my hands razer, i dare you lol.
so youre not talking about camera nomore?
why is the blade 15 cheaper to get for me then the stealth 13
I got the 10th gen and I am a little deceived for the price. The built quality is really good, but there are some defects (at least on my model), very minor, nothing alarming tho, but still. The battery life is really poor, not what I was expecting, and I have experienced some weird bugs and lags which is surprising considering it's a gaming laptop.
Really poor? that's not normal at all. Unless you are trying to game at medium settings for 7 hours (which is stupid since it's unreasonable on this kind of machine) you need to get a replacement stealth.
You rock Gary!
ASUS Zephyrus G14 is a good compromise between size and performance, smaller and lighter than every 15 inch yet has an RTX GPU unlike every 13 inch laptop
But what a terrible battery life. Look at everything when choosing between laptops.
The battery life on that is a scam just like the g15 one, worst purchase I've ever made and it averages 2 hours sometimes 1 hour 30 mins gaming and that's without turbo, on turbo I say it lasts 30-45 mins
We like specs just don't drag it out
Will these 11th Gens be in larger laptops? 15' and 17 '?
um, they are. Manufactures use the latest chips, not older models. So those who decide to make a bad choice and make machines using intel use 11th gen now, You can see it everywhere.
Will there be any more videos about the blade 15?
i wanna to get it but i so worry about next year they release 30 series on the stealth
Probably 20 Series

@@_reZ wow when?
I'm a lawyer, so I mostly spend my day in Word documents. I want opening of files to be snappy. Surely this 4 core would suffice? I can find this laptop cheaper in my country than the Dell XPS.
Nice. Good for u
Well the first rule is always have 16 gigs of Ram. Second, AMD Ryzen mobile is the best option right now with more cores (for cheaper too!).
Trust me dont buy now if you want the best bang for your buck
can you please compare the MacBook pro 13 vs the razer blade 15 on DaVinci, lightroom, photoshop etc!!!
blade 15 will easily kick ass lmao

I won't buy til they fix the graphics, everything else is cool af
I agree with everything except about the GPU. Putting in anything larger would compromise thermals and battery life significantly. Also, low-tier raytracing is kinda useless anyways.
My hopes is for a 2021 stealth with AMD 5700U and a 3050ti
It coming with a 1660 Ti late 2021 because a 3050 Ti can't fit in that area
@@_reZ “late 2021”
Facts, it's all about having battery life which is why the g14 and g15 are scams only having performance for gaming just for an hour or two at 0 brightness
If you don’t want that laptop anymore… I’ll take it! Haha…ha XD
Can it handling gta 5 easy?
I agree yo opinion 100%. Razer have to listen yo saying.
$1700 laptop with a quad-core.
No, Razer!
Bad Razer.
HP offers a 6-core laptop for $700, and both machines run Windows. In a world where that and the M1 exist, what could this possibly have to offer?
Alright, now I’ll watch the video.
