I just got the Blade pro 17 a couple of weeks ago and have been using the MBP 16" for work for the last year. These computers seem to have two different philosophies regarding how to replace a desktop. The Mac wants to be connected to a thunderbolt dock while the Razer is more like a folding all-in-one. It works well on its own as a desktop replacement without any additional docks or peripherals.
@@TheEverydayDad I love it. The blade 17 is so fast that it is kinda crazy to have that much power in a portable computer. Checking in as a Blade 15 late 2019 owner and having switched from a desktop as well. Over a year on my late 2019 blade advanced and I had my battery swell and cause a number of issues after a power surge. Contacted Razer after the lights came back on at about 10pm their time and got very friendly and knowledgable help on their 24/7 customer support. Ultimately did not do the RMA because I need the machine and don't trust them to not supply me with a bad battery after a long turnaround but it is running fine off the AC adapter and I have a spare battery calibrated and ready for when I need to travel. Absolute workhorse of a machine despite the heat and noise it gives off and only missing the desktop for ease of use and care. I run it mostly in the home office connected to 3 external displays and VR and a whole slew of stuff. It does it all. I will say the 2020 models and their 300hz displays is just a bad call. 144hz is much more managable and the ghosting and vignetting when ran at 60hz for power savings is a lot more tolerable, not to mention the lack of g-sync support. The thing to watch out for on these is the batteries and finish, also to clean them out with compressed air about once a month to help them stay cool. I have a four year old that likes cheesy snacks and touching my Mercury white blade, for this you want the Pledge Beautify furniture wipes. I can get it off with standard clorox wipes but the Pledge adds some sort of oleophobic coating that lasts a reasonable amount of time. Glad to see you move away from Apple and their products, hope the Blade 2020 treats you well!
I don't get it...why is it every time i see razer reviews, they never talk about razer's customer support issues and their screen getting black after few months of using em...🤷🏻♂️
I have my Razer blade 13 for two months now and I never had so many issues in such a short time with a new laptop, so I'm sending it back today. After 10 days the display already had malfunctions, after 28 days of owning it the battery lasted only for 4 hours when it was on energy saving mode the whole time (so only 40% battery from the original 10 hours), now after two it is not charging anymore. I only used it for my school work and for InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. I never played any games on it. I only took it to school in a separate protective laptop bag. Maybe it's only me and I had a bad experience with this computer and I can't recommend other people to buy this computer and tbh I'm really sad about it because I was always was a big fan of Razer. One of the only good things I can say about it is that it's is indeed super fast but I'm really disappointed about all the malfunction that it has had so far.

I'm glad to see it went well for you, I bought a Razer laptop (Blade 15 2020 Base Model) and shipped it to my country (Perú), After only 7 days it died, it arrived and it still is in optimal physical condition, nothing physical happened to it and not even demanding tasks were made on it, just games like Dota, Starcraft, CSGO and Metro, and tasks like work reunions, Zoom, etc. I went to Reddit and there is a whole lineup of people complaining about similar mistakes with their blades, since always. Now I have to ship it back to the US to enforce my warranty and that's going to cost a lot of money, the customer service answers my messages after 4-5 days even tough they say the reply time is 48 hours, and the do not answer my calls, I asume it is because it´s a foreign number, be very careful when you buy Razer laptops, even if you are in the US or in Europe, or any Razer supported country, payed 2045 dollars for a laptop with RTX 2070 and only 512GB of SSD, I would expect a better customer service.
Demand they pay for shipment and make sure they insure it properly. They tried to insure my razer blade I returned last year for £20 instead of £2000+!

Thank you so much for more Razer content can’t get enough of it
I'm looking to get razer blade how much of ssd can each slot can hold to max the storage? 😎😎
Hi, I also bought the Razer Blade and exactly the same problems with the fingerprints. Which cover did you buy?
You can turn off the logo in the Razer Synapse Control Center. So now you can take the computer to your "industry meetings".
That was some fun presentation to watch. Like your style haha.
what do you think about the battery life? Can someone tell me please.
I don't get it...why is it every time i see razer reviews, they never talk about razer's customer support issues and their screen getting black after few months of using em...🤷🏻♂️
can you tell me, where you bought the carbon cover?
Do you prefer windows or macos
Hi, nice video, where u find this case for the razer blade 15 ?
If I may ask, what is your industry?
Do you think its worth getting the RTX 2070 version ?
WoW classic, really... It would be great to see how it performs on Shafowlands beta
So what is better? The Alienware area 51m or this? By going off of specs only. Idk about battery life or anything like that. I want power
One of the only good things I can say about it is that it's is indeed super fast but I'm really disappointed about all the malfunction that it has had so far.
mercury white doesnt have the green logo its just a shiny silver emblem
Is it still worth it in 2021?
love your review MAN
I have a question and that is that some reviewer say that the palm rest area get too hot Is this true
??
Have you ever tried a linux laptop? im into system 76 (although they’re products are not as good a windows or apple’s) because they care about my privacy (microsoft and apple don’t) it would be great if you could make a video about the system76 oryx pro, i think anyone would love it!
like if you agree, thanks.
where did you get the carbon fiber skin?.thanks
Not sure if just me but a bummer to me they removed the mini dp port from last year's model
Dell XPS 15 vs Razer Blade 15? (For mostly video editing)
How does this compare to the Dell XPS?
Which do you recommend, Razer Blade 15 or Dell XPS 9500? Not just as a gaming laptop but as an everyday driver
With which one did you go with?
@@danebengeschissen i got the dell xps 15. No hardware issues, like the mentioned loose trackpad.
Although some small issues i have with it are:
1. Dongle life isnt for me. I dont like that i need that dongle for a mouse. Although easy fix as im just waiting on amazon to delivery a bluetooth/usb c/usb-a wireless mouse i purchased
2. Camera definitely sucks. I mean its okay. Its useable but thats it. Imagine food with enough nutrients but without any taste, thats dell xps camera
3. Sounds are fantastic. But when on zoom conferences its volume is like 1/3 of max capacity. Again, useable. I imagine/hope this would be fixed thru future driver updates.
Minor hiccups but aside from these 3, I love the device. I would definitely buy it again if i had the chance.
Would you go with the Razer Base or the XPS 15/17 ?
If I am only focused into Lightroom and Photoshop.
I’d probably go XPS 15/17 in that case, the 1650 TI in those would be more than enough for photoshop.
@@TheEverydayDad Thank you alot :))
these things are currently £1200 on amazon in the UK
Awesome video man, I really love your vibe! You've convinced me to get this laptop haha
Does putting on skin to it make it heat up more?
How has the razor laptop work after all this time ?
I always wanted regular USB ports on my tech but I looked around the house and all I have with old USB ports are old hard drives that I never use. The other ports are useful though.
The 4tb m.2 will not work. They require more power than most laptops provide to the m.2 slot. I’ve tried a 4tb in my razer blade 17 pro, 13 stealth and Alienware Area 51m and it doesn’t work in any of them but not works fine in my desktop.
Is this the same base model that has the 1660ti?
Love the video man ! Just ordered mine the other day for school, and bro let’s play wow classic !!
Best reviews are talking about what you like and don’t like because it shows that you’re not just selling the product to us :)
I turned off the green logo lighting on the back of the laptop. I never liked it either, but with the light off it makes a big difference
Hi! So there is an option to turn off this logo?
A Razer product that last more than 2 months, that's impressive
I have a razer deathadder 3.5g from 2009. 11 years now and It still works like new.. Its astonishing really.
Can you please share where you got your RAM from and which one exactly you got? I'm considering getting the Razor Blade 15 Advance 2021 and want to add RAM but I don't know what to get and where to get it.
It's a gaming laptop and ppl need that for high refresh rate monitors. I get it there is a TB3 port but I use that for external gpu
