    I had no idea they removed those. I main medic so that kinda explains why I suddenly stopped getting base ownerships awhile back.

    As it stands right now with the top ten of an outfit with, realistically, kills being the determining factor of who takes the base, it perpetuates the "sweaty heavy" meta. Why shouldn't everyone just pull godsaw/beetle/butcher heavies and use the point as a kill funnel? Why should I sacrifice high mag size and HP to help other people stay on point to steal my kills? Why should I give them ammo to steal my kills? If you're a small outfit thirsty for resources you have no incentive to play support because other than exp the game doesn't really encourage you to.

      The more you disincentavise player other classes, the more support players stop wanting to play support classes. Kills take the base, support sets those kills up.

    We also have the issue where we have small outfits that are like 80% support players which as such they just support other outfits they never make it on the scoreboard because of that and it's not right when they do heavily lifting of being everyone else's soccer moms. XD

      Very good point. Less experienced players do a tremendous amount of lifting by playing support and they definetly should get recognition.

    Playing any kind of support matters a lot more than just having lots of kills. As good support allows people to boost their killing ability on the battlefield. As such they should just have their score count too. Also to prevent farms just make sure that if say if players score for say ammo packs only counts if their bullets shot enemy troops as that data is already being tracked. Then for revives don't count the revives around the defenders spawn room and you can easily mark off where these zones would be to keep players in the know. Radar intel is just radar intel that needs nothing to be balanced as it's already tied to other players getting more score per kill anyways.

    sunderer spawn xp, omg. like many many cases my sunderer is pretty much the only reason why we took the base. You hit the nail on the head when you spoke about it. back in the day i was taking bases left-and-right because i had the best placed deployed sunderer, with 5 mines, 3 claymores, and two ammo packs constantly out too.

    Yeah, currently the score is as if only kills and such matters. But this isn't Counter Strike it's a combined arms team effort even if you play solo.

    Agree, if you drive a sunderer up to a base, and your the only sunderer there and you capture the base. That fight was only possible because of you and you get 0 rewards for it.

    The vehicle gunner point is a little problematic. If the gunner and driver are from the same outfit, then that outfit is double dipping on the points for every kill. Perhaps it should only count if the driver has a gunner from a different outfit.

    Imagine if us base builders could also get in the scoreboard just because we built a formidable fortifications to hold and defend those capture lanes where you can build upon? Wouldnt that be awesome? I build a base in one of those Oshur empty areas, or the few that are on Indar and Esamir's huge open fields and get to keep the base for my outfit just because the exp I get from my Elysium spawn tube, vehicle terminal spawns and phalanx tower kills?
    Come on this SHOULD be a thing, its not even a big deal since these bases only give green resources but please the recognition to the builders and defenders shouldnt be overlooked!

    w2ould be great to see more fairness in base caps. For years now I could get tech plants and amp stations for my outfit while playing alone with like 24 other ppl from different outfits.
    Just made sure to get a few generators, the SCU and maybe destroy a turret or two at low pop times and I could almost always secure the capture. And I abused the heck out of that mechanic to get a solo outfit with all the ressorces, had my own bastion, OS, shields and other assets for a long time until my original account was banned

      I would argue that setting up the fight and literally being there the longest is good reason to win the base. Gives incentive to bring a sundy rather than only a valkyrie or gal. Also gives a reward to noobs that can't get kills

    As a hardcore support player it did bug me so much that my score didn't matter on the board. It should count but then again I think the scoreboard is outdated completely. They should revamp it too show all sorts of contributions not just supports with a more detailed list because that list sadly also auto updates after maybe a point starts flipping it resets the whole f****** thing. Either way I agree with you that the defenders attackers the guys who bring in all the support that keeps the fight going and needs to show and needs to show a lot more details vehicles who did what it needs to reflect better.

      I agree, some achievements or something would be nice, like 'most revives' and stuff like that.
      They have to reset the score at some time points of course, being a persistent world and all, but indeed, how it works exactly is still a mystery to me. I would imagine an overhaul where also this aspect, what phase the base is, and for how long (timer) points are accumulating for the current phase, should be way more obvious.
      Also wouldn't mind to see a split between factions, though in a 3 way fight this might not work on all monitors.
      Reworking the scoreboard to something more meaningful could add so much to the experience, and be a great incentive to influence average behavior.

    I only watched halfway but something I also would like to add is that it would be nice that if your group defended a base another group capture that your group gets that base instead because your group defended it gives more meaning to defend in my opinion.

    As a player that usually Hardcores at being the medic during ops, I wouldn't mind having a second scoreboard that shows only the top ten or fifteen support score style players in a fight.
    I wouldn't necessarily want it to replace the current scoreboard, but having two boards, the current Killboard and a SupportBoard would be cool.

    I think they could fix the stat padding issue by doing 2 things.
    Some kind of cool down on ammo packs after you hit full ammo. It takes a fair amount of time to empty all of your mags, so you shouldn't be needing an ammo pack on your next reload after topping off.
    A safe revive bonus going on the scoreboard instead of necromancy spamming. Rewarding people for securing/safely reviving someone would prevent medics contributing to capture by farming trapped bodies. Guy gets up, shield recharges, medic gets a safe revive bonus. More xp for good medics, not a significant contributor to the scoreboard. Seems fair to me.
    I hate infils but recon is the one positive thing they contribute to a fight so they should absolutely get motion detect xp on the board. I'm interested to know how multiple, overlapping radars dish out xp though.

    I find that being the tip of the spear really helps capping a base. Me and my 7 outfit mates can be on point at the next base faster than a large platoon can mobilize. We get a good amount of kills and the platoon usually roles up right as we are starting to get overrun. Taken a good deal of bases this way.

    My thoughts on lack of sundys: light assaults. It takes them 10 seconds to get to your sundy, throw c4 and 2 clips of av rocklets. That’s ridiculous. C4 does enough on its own, those need to be removed. The most mobile class in the game truly has the best anti-ground vehicle capabilities. Case in point: a tank out in the open sees a light assault. Reaction? RUN AWAYYYYY!!!! That seems so stupid. Now imagine a sundy that’s deployed and can’t run because troops need to spawn there.

      Tanks should have a very close range (big spread, 15 meter effective range) anti infantry MG built in as a secondary.

    I think the solution to this is to allow support related xp to count on the scoreboard for small amounts. Stuff like, revives count for 10-25, radar assists count for say 5-10. I think that’s a nice compromise

    I was quite amazed today that after spawning in a big fight and reviving a lot of people I had 0 score. Usually I am able to fight even as medic, today there were too many friendly casaulties.
    0 in the scoreboard is stupid. The exp should be there , maybe not count it towards the outfit which takes the region , but no place in the scoreboard is idiotic . No wonder all veterans are switching HA and rely on pubbies to revive them.
    I would argue that all exp which do not count now should be ratioed when computed for the outfit score , maybe by a half.

    Very good point. My support s/kills are better than me being a sweaty heavy assault. Infil motion detection + sundy used to put me up on the scoreboard eith a handful of kills now it feels theres literally no incentive to do any support. More of a cert builder for newer players.

    everythihng that was over 70/30 overpop for more than half the time it took to capture should just not get captured for any outfit. Instant Recourced for the capture remin though.

    I honestly think that ammo resupply and recon should not be counted. They give ticks too often to resources that are risk-free in situations that don't immediately gain a tactical benefit; spotters are great recon tools but in a large fight gaining assist exp from the slugfest where everyone already knows where everyone else is shouldn't be counted against a person who is reviving people on the front lines or getting tonnes of kills. I support experience counting for anything that directly puts the person gaining that exp at risk.

    While I believe support roles should contribute, overall I think there is no system that will be right if you reward only one outfit when multiple contribute. Yes I know any outfits that contributes gets a drop of resources, but the moment you give a continuous reward to only one especially when it's splitting hairs whether which one contributed more? That's the rub.
    Now picture a system that say, gave scaled continuous resources to the top 3 outfits (or to all in the top 10)? With the top getting the cosmetic emblem on the base? Now I figure few would complain much no matter who "wins"...

    I would love if they added an option to remove k/d ratio. It's such a deterrent to any risky actions, especially for newer players who die a lot by definition.

    I agree with this pretty much. But I think that they could fix it by soft capping it. For example you only get exp for 3 revives per minute, the numbers are just an example. That way it counts but cant be exploited so easily.

    My problem with vehicles in bases getting points on the scoreboard is mag riders, they can get into bases way to easily and spawn lock the other factions

    Sure about revives not counting? As far as i can say revives of people killed by enemys do count, same for resupplies if the majority(?) of the magazine bullets have hit an enemy... as well as heals and shield reloads.
    have had a fight where due to a bug i was unable to switch my weapon. i was stuck to my medic tool and the shield probe where i ended on top of the scoreboard(4th) without one kill and never participating in claiming a point.

      I revived 10 people in a fight and had 74 points on the scoreboard (probably from beeing around the point). I'm quite sure revives don't count.

    This video is years too late. The problem was never about how points were earned, rather who was receiving the war assets for the cheese people did to stat pad. The entire system causes a conflict of interests between outfits of the same faction. I've shot friendlies in the face over a generator and have had the same done to me for the sake of war assets. It's not just about capturing the base but also about not letting go of a base if it is costing their faction the alert. Outfits will dedicate an entire platoon to holding a base that was cut off several territories away from the closest warpgate connected base. If you want to talk about the unsung heroes that go into capturing bases then you need to start with Platoon/Squad leads who organize and moderate the assault. They are the only ones who should be calling in anvils, orbitals, and citadels. At least the revives, resupplies, and motion assists earn the individual certs, but Platoon leads earn nothing and even less when doing their job correctly by staying in the map screen and keeping up comms in command channel. When I suggested war assets for leads before Escalation I was told it would be easily exploitable. Now, instead of my faction having a willing 9-year-vet leading plublic platoons while mentoring newer players on lattice and point-hold strats, they have an asshole who'll team kill at a ghost cap, blows up terminals and turrets that should be hacked, and only uses pocket orbitals for juicy multikills as our sunderer is getting over ran.

    I don't agree it should be no pay to win due to outfit rss. They should not touch it they got it to a good spot and leave it as is. Do not count resupplies or revives. Motion det I cave a little on. Spawns should not count look at bases that battle for almost 30min plus to easy to get an overwhelming amount.

    As great as this is, it's significantly less work to revive/motion track than it is to outshoot people.
    Especially the motion tracking is literally AFK nonsense, I don't need my triage flash to cap bases for me.
    Spawns though, I agree with. NOT beacons though.

    The thing is right or left click for medic isn't skillful, taking three heavy assaults in one mag is extremely difficult

      The fact of the matter is, skill doesn't win the fight. Good planning and quick teamwork wins fights.
      Skill is very helpful, but a team of skilled players need support to work. You'll die eventually.
