Totally appreciate the quick factor, just have to say one of my biggest turkey peeves is not brining the turkey. This comes from an entire childhood of severely non-flavored turkey; brining is the game changer for flavor as well as juiciness. I would not have thought to spatchcock a turkey tho - I love this channel for helping me come up with new ideas. Spatchcock will be a must-do for my next turkey day (brined a day ahead 🙃)
If you have enough time to make stock from the giblets, toss in 1 smoked turkey wing (next to the hocks, usually) into the broth vat. My broth is opaque, *opaque* and brown Papa. Awaiting Papa *kiss*

Can I use bacon fat in lieu of duck fat for the gravy?
Ah, who the hell am I kidding? We all know the answer is "yes"...
If the question is bacon the answer is yes
Rub some bacon on it
@@lynxlubbpeeps love that song
I got you beat. I used packaged turkey breast cutlets and made a whole ass dinner for myself last year in a couple hours.
Me: I want to cook this recipe from Joshua Weissman
My Dad: No, they use so much unhealthy things, you're going to get sick if you eat it
Also my dad: Wow this recipe is so good, where did you find this?
Joshua: I don't get heart burn but my family and friends do
LOL!
Spatchcocked my first turkey today. Thankyou for the introduction of this method. Pulled that off beautifully, but somehow managed to screw up mash potatoes. lol
You should make the Canadian snack/dish poutine it got that gravy, cheese and ✨crispy fries✨
This is absolutely genius!!! Fortunately I'm not the one cooking Thanksgiving this year, but I'm saving this for future reference
I wanna know what he actually eats on thanksgiving. Probably some roast Turkey lined with foie gras and white Alba truffles grated on mash lol.
Thanks so much Josh, That gravy is going into my recipe staples list. Spectacular. The Cranberry sauce, the Turkey, the GB salad. . . Its all super tasty.
My Husband and I absolutely love your videos! We make your recipes all the time. I'm celiac, so I can't eat any gluten and there have been a bunch of food that I have tried for the first time because of your videos!!!
You should do a Challenge video and make a Gluten Free meal, or bread one day! I would love to see what you could come up with there and to see how different working with Gluten Free flour is for you!!! Don't use almond flour though. everyone does and it's gross. White rice flour all the way!
I think there's a reason you can't really find a good gluten free recipe for bread. It ain't ever gonna work, sis
@@OGkrystie I've made good bread that's Gf a few times. Comparable to actual glutened bread. I'm saying this as a person that's only switched diets like 1year ago so I know bread still. It's hard to find, though
Thank you for this. I just spent 10 hours working on the stuffing alone. You rock!
Haha the sponsor is so spot on 🤠
So my two LEAST favorite thanksgiving dinner staples are green bean casserole and canned cranberry sauce but both of your “substitutes” looked so much better!! Gonna have to try them
one plate for me pls 🦃🍂

“You pulled the turkey out of the oven and did WHAT?!?”
“It’s what the video told me to do”
I heard that too and I had to do a double take
Thank you! Made everything the exact same way as you and enjoyed Thanksgiving all the way from Italy! Family was impressed! Happy holidays!
This looks stunning, I can only imagine what your Christmas dinner video if any will look like
Hi, I’m sorry but I have done the black garlic. I smells great and I was surprised that garlic has so much sugar. I love the aroma. Thanks for the illustration. You take the fear out of cooking technique.
"I don't get heartburn often but the people I cook for certainly do" hmmmm

Loved watching Papa excitingly describe the food while the dude in the blue shirt blocked the shot hahaha
i made the mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce for my family with my own chicken and they loved it, im not american and dont celebrate thanksgiving but this food is good all year round 🥰
"Add in your mommy milky mixure"
*Everyone liked that*
Yes, thank you! My kids want Thanksgiving dinner but it will be just me and my 3 daughters this year. And I don't want my whole fridge being stuffed to the rim with leftovers. Nor do I want to wake up at 4 in the morning to start cooking a turkey lol 😆
