@@OGkrystie I've made good bread that's Gf a few times. Comparable to actual glutened bread. I'm saying this as a person that's only switched diets like 1year ago so I know bread still. It's hard to find, though
My lineup this year is turkey, slow cook chuck roast, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, green bean casserole, Mexican mix vegetables, Cranberry sauce, and homemade bread. For dessert we got apple crisp, blueberry lemon crisp, pumpkin pie, pineapple upside down cake, and banana cream pie

Thanks so much Josh, That gravy is going into my recipe staples list. Spectacular. The Cranberry sauce, the Turkey, the GB salad. . . Its all super tasty.
One of these years, I might try hosting Thanksgiving. Been wanting to at least try spatchcocking a turkey as it looks so easy. I told my mom that if she does want to make a turkey (it would be tomorrow as she worked today. I'm currently broke so I couldn't cook anything), to spatchcock it. She said she'd wanted to do that but worried the guests would have a problem with it. Mind you, really the only people eating are usually me and my brothers. We're not going to watch our mom cook a meal none of us could replicate and then get made because of the frickin presentation. We all would be completely fine with the turkey being butterflied.
As an a girl with a very bad eating disorder borderline anorexia I don’t know why I punish myself with watching your delicious food videos but the food YOU make LOOKS TO DAMN GOOD
Totally appreciate the quick factor, just have to say one of my biggest turkey peeves is not brining the turkey. This comes from an entire childhood of severely non-flavored turkey; brining is the game changer for flavor as well as juiciness. I would not have thought to spatchcock a turkey tho - I love this channel for helping me come up with new ideas. Spatchcock will be a must-do for my next turkey day (brined a day ahead 🙃)
A fun and simple recipe I came up with, which is now a Thanksgiving favorite with my family, is aioli green beans. I undercook the green beans a little for crunch and toss with aioli, (simple mix of olive oil mayo, lemon juice, a lot of garlic, and salt and pepper, who are here), and of course grated parmesan.
Sound delicious. I want to share one, too: saute (a lot) garlic in butter, add mushrooms, saute until browned, and green beans, broth, salt and pepper, soy sauce. Cover and steam/saute til crisp tender, increase heat to reduce liquids and coat beans with sauce.
Hi, I’m sorry but I have done the black garlic. I smells great and I was surprised that garlic has so much sugar. I love the aroma. Thanks for the illustration. You take the fear out of cooking technique.

Me: I want to cook this recipe from Joshua Weissman
My Dad: No, they use so much unhealthy things, you're going to get sick if you eat it
Also my dad: Wow this recipe is so good, where did you find this?
Joshua: I don't get heart burn but my family and friends do
LOL!
I used to get really bad heartburn, tums is a godsend. He’s not joking, the stuffs legit
I got Turkey Day covered, but that green bean combo I've been sleeping on. Making that!
I ate but never really liked the mushy green bean casserole, so might have to make it too. 👍
My family is dragging me to my grandma’s house for thanksgiving so it’s not like I’ll actually need to put any of this into practice, *but* this video is helping me entertain the idea of what I’d do if they just left me home like I wanted. So thank you Josh
Molly I loved going to my grandmas because I got to see all my family on my moms side. I also didn't have to cook. Now I miss those days!
My Husband and I absolutely love your videos! We make your recipes all the time. I'm celiac, so I can't eat any gluten and there have been a bunch of food that I have tried for the first time because of your videos!!!
You should do a Challenge video and make a Gluten Free meal, or bread one day! I would love to see what you could come up with there and to see how different working with Gluten Free flour is for you!!! Don't use almond flour though. everyone does and it's gross. White rice flour all the way!
I think there's a reason you can't really find a good gluten free recipe for bread. It ain't ever gonna work, sis
@@OGkrystie I've made good bread that's Gf a few times. Comparable to actual glutened bread. I'm saying this as a person that's only switched diets like 1year ago so I know bread still. It's hard to find, though
GAWD DAYMN JOSH!! Im bussin bro!! lovin the sauce!!
Haha the sponsor is so spot on 🤠
My lineup this year is turkey, slow cook chuck roast, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, green bean casserole, Mexican mix vegetables, Cranberry sauce, and homemade bread. For dessert we got apple crisp, blueberry lemon crisp, pumpkin pie, pineapple upside down cake, and banana cream pie
You should make the Canadian snack/dish poutine it got that gravy, cheese and ✨crispy fries✨
So my two LEAST favorite thanksgiving dinner staples are green bean casserole and canned cranberry sauce but both of your “substitutes” looked so much better!! Gonna have to try them
I am not American, but I envy you this holiday exactly for the food. Your traditional Thanksgiving table has all the best food.
Thanks so much Josh, That gravy is going into my recipe staples list. Spectacular. The Cranberry sauce, the Turkey, the GB salad. . . Its all super tasty.
I wanna know what he actually eats on thanksgiving. Probably some roast Turkey lined with foie gras and white Alba truffles grated on mash lol.
Josh at 26: "I don't really get heartburn"
Josh at 41: "So back in the day Tums sponsored me, now can I be your spokesman?"
"I don't get heartburn often but the people I cook for certainly do" hmmmm
"Add in your mommy milky mixure"
*Everyone liked that*
Currently watching this in November 2022, definitely would like to try this for Thanksgiving.

“You pulled the turkey out of the oven and did WHAT?!?”
“It’s what the video told me to do”
I heard that too and I had to do a double take
As an a girl with a very bad eating disorder borderline anorexia I don’t know why I punish myself with watching your delicious food videos but the food YOU make LOOKS TO DAMN GOOD

This is absolutely genius!!! Fortunately I'm not the one cooking Thanksgiving this year, but I'm saving this for future reference
This looks stunning, I can only imagine what your Christmas dinner video if any will look like
Totally appreciate the quick factor, just have to say one of my biggest turkey peeves is not brining the turkey.
I love all of this except the real cranberry sauce, I will die on my hill that store bought sauce is 100× better
Loved watching Papa excitingly describe the food while the dude in the blue shirt blocked the shot hahaha
Thank you! Made everything the exact same way as you and enjoyed Thanksgiving all the way from Italy! Family was impressed! Happy holidays!
Looks Divine 😍🤩
Hi, I’m sorry but I have done the black garlic. I smells great and I was surprised that garlic has so much sugar. I love the aroma. Thanks for the illustration. You take the fear out of cooking technique.
