Next do an editing challenge, Joshua vs Vicram, where Vicram yells vaguely useful instructions for each step as Josh fumbles through the process.
The difference is that josh is familair with editing. As he said: in the beginning he edited his videos himself

Can we get like a “myth busters” series? For example: Is it better to dry brine fried chicken or is buttermilk? Reverse searing/Sous vide a steak vs pan sear and butter baste, etc…
Edit: Thank you to all the people suggesting channels that do something similar. However, it would also be nice to gain Josh’s perspective. Gaining different perspectives on food is the best way to level up your cooking imo.

Vicram, you're not short - you're "concentrated", like OJ but better.
Neither one seems to stand up straight for long enough, but I would say that he's around 5'9" (give or take 0.5") since he's about up to Josh's eyes (Josh is 6'1").

Imagine watching a course of anything for a living. Then editing that course, meaning watching it over and over again. Do that for years. Then realising that you have absorbed almost no information of said course in front of 5 million people. Maintaining a good mood while being shamed by the boss evaluating your absent skills publicly. Then having to watch that nightmare in editing repeatedly.
Respect to Vikram for being a good sport. I would have lost my cool.

For being a grown man that has never cut a tomato in his life apparently, I'd say Vicram did pretty good.
For Vicram and everyone else that needs to know: 1ml of water = 1g of water, no need for cups when you have a scale

Always kind of feel bad for the other person when Joshua gives super brief description of what to do, then works at chef speed and moves on to the next thing without waiting or checking in. Kind of want to see it reversed. Have one of the team give him instructions blind, or a guest chef?
Yes!. How about a 'home cook / guest chef' challenge?! Home cooks send their challenge video for a shot at the title. Home chef picks what they make. Get some real deal challengers on this.

I feel like Josh sets people up for failure by not having all the kitchen tools ready and then doing stuff like a brand new bottle of cooking oil and still proceeding through the directions as quickly as possible, lol
I think he’s trying to show people at home that you do not need all of the tools and experience to cook a great meal at home. You have to start somewhere.
I think it would be cool, if Josh put his skills up against random restaurant chefs around the country. (Not famous people, like Babish or J Kenji, or Guga.)

See I realize that Josh is assuming what he’s saying is being understood by the recipient; evident in the “cut your potato in half” as Vick paused because there’s 2 ways to cut something in half, Josh is already cutting into cubes and that’s why the other person gets so far behind, it’s not literally step by step instructions, it’s just regular instruction, if this were to be fair Josh would have to be a lot more descriptive and precise in his instruction
