Ooh! Welcome to the Netherlands in advance! Do try the cheese. (we also have liquorice). Traffic will be hell. Just back off a little, give yourself a little bit more space on the freeway, hang back and don't engage in the lunatic frenzy that is Dutch traffic. Of course, operation Market Garden didn't go as they hoped. It was the radio's that didn't work, the narrow one lane road leading up to Arnhem, the suspected Germans in the forest beyond the Groesbeek heights that actually weren't there (until day 3), the weather in England, and the totally unexpected Field Marshall Model's SS Panzers that were reported and dismissed before hand. The old bridge at Arnhem was taken down long ago. So long ago that it already wasn't there when they filmed 'A bridge too far'. They filmed that at Deventer, which at the time still had a similar style bridge over the river IJssel. The tank in the movie wasn't a real PzIV (obviously), it was a Leopard from the Dutch army wearing a PzIV-ish frok. If you look carefully you can see the Dutch unit markings on the back of the tank. For tanks I guess the Overloon war museum is the place to visit, Rita's been there, ask her. There's also the National Militairy Museum (nnm.nl) at Soesterberg which has become what it is from what used to be the old airforce museum. The old airforce museum used to have an old F104 Starfighter angled on a stand along side of the highway, which was quite impressive as a kid. Soesterberg hosts what used to be the original Dutch airbase (1918), which is now no longer an air base but still a militairy something of which I can't disclose it's nature for national security reasons. And I suppose if you're near Soesterberg anyway that maybe the Cavalery museum at Amersfoort (really close by) could be on your list (they have some tanks). It's not big, but if you're there already... If all else fails there's Amersfoort Zoo right next door.
As a Dutchmen I have to say jingles pronounced Arnhem quite well. The ‘hem’ part is pretty hard as you not proud ace the ‘h’ and really have focus on the ‘e’.

If you're tier 7 or 8, that 400 alpha gun with 250 pen and great DPM is every bit as terrifying as the big gun. You want the big gun for hunting Mauses.
Actually Jingles, if that was the 155mm gun he would have killed him with the first HE splash.
yeah, in hindsight it was a bad shot, but I know the M53/55s reload pretty well and knew I could reload about 3 to 4 times.
it doesn't mater how big your gun is or your speed, situational awareness won the game, along w/ greed from the 2 artillery.
I look forward to your recreation of A Bridge Too Far. Too bad that you didn't start the trip today in Normandy, which likely would have felt like The Longest Day considering your luck at traveling and the public transportation that has it in for you
I thought the title said "Dank Turtle" 😏
Arty, the most hated and undervalued vehicle in the game, that everyone calls on for help, go figure.
so the CV's of WOT?
darkangel666 in a doom turtle doing 666 damage with first penn shot?
illuminati confirmed :')
best thing :he is dutch :D
I did notice that
To be fair to that T-43 he was a tier 7 in tier 9 and definitely not on a map which favoured him. His options were limited so he played bait.
It worked it stopped the enemy tank getting across. It was a thankless job though
Nice game Doomy. Thank for the video Mr. Jingles.
If all else fails there's Amersfoort Zoo right next door.
wait the doom turtle got a speed buff? :O im still used to the old 13km/h
Pah! Driving at that speed will cause palpitations!!!
As a Dutchmen I have to say jingles pronounced Arnhem quite well. The ‘hem’ part is pretty hard as you not proud ace the ‘h’ and really have focus on the ‘e’.
whoohooo The Netherlands, you are welcome here Jingles.have fun and enoy your stay.also a nice video
really puts it into perspective how warthunder realistic is when I see the T95 moving like that and think it's going breakneck speeds
