I have a good friend with the same issue, lowering the sensitivity helps him. His mouse can set the vertical and horizontal dpi, he is fine with vertical so he lowers the horizontal to be lower.

Going through a horrible separation and divorce from my wife and been having lots of suicidal thoughts tonight. After watching this video, I've actually calmed down and feel slightly better. KPz 3 Pr.07 HK stands for "Kampfpanzer 3 Projekt 07" aka "Combat Tank 3 project 07", a replacment project for the Leopard 1 in the late 70s. They made some hilarous prototypes (like the VT1 which looks like it's straight out of Command&Conquer with it's 2 main guns) and this one seems to be one of those obscure experimental projects. The "H" most likely stands for its "hydropneumatic suspension" like on the swedish tanks. What the "K" stands for I can only assume. Maybe "Kanone" (cannon) because they also thought about missile or reconnaisance versions? I really don't know.
A little more information can be found under the label Versuchsträger 1 and 2, as those were the very crude names of the prototypes made for the project. Looks like one of those rare times when bureaucratic inertia proved a positive because it prevented Germany from overinvesting in turretless tanks just as they became mostly obsolete thanks to improvements in fire-on-the-move technology. Turretless tanks were not unreasonable in the early 1970s when most tanks were still mostly stopping to ensure better accuracy at the long ranges they were trying to for. By the end of the 1980s, not so reasonable anymore even in defense when the tanks attacking could potentially be shooting more accurately while moving than the turretless tanks could while stationary.

Jingles, you could've take a screenshot of your old video visit to Bovington tank museum way back then. You were standing next to their Tortoise and TOG-2 in that video. Also, the world objects in WoT always have been out-of-scale to the tanks themselves, example are the yellow flowers or the foliage, they look bigger than they should be in real life. A few years ago, I caused great alarm at the Tank Museum when I first saw the Tortoise! I knew it was big but holy moly, it's HUGE! It makes me look small and I'm 6'10"! There were 6 prototypes built, all in mild steel. The Tank Museum has 1 and the only other 'survivor' is on a firing range near Kirkcudbright. It's in a very poor condition and has no gun but it is still recognisable and still massive! (can't believe I've had an 'actually Jingles' moment!)

If its a german mashine, KPz is short for KampfPanzer - Battletank. We do this all the time like PzH - Panzerhaubitze or SPz - Schützenpanzer. But oddly - the KPz are usually the ones with a turret while this looks more like a tankdestroyer so it should be classified as Jagdpanzer - JPz.
i was at bowington a couple of years ago,and it amazed me how big that thing is..standing next to a kv2 and a strv 103- those looked tiny next to the tortoise

Can't imagine the rage the Kampfpanzer had at the end there, he had a good game. The T-34-3 also had a really good game as it's probably one of the absolute worst and most power-crept premium tanks tier-for-tier in the game.
Whats luckier is how he penned that from the front, when that very steep angle arnor is 45mm thick which can very much bounce the Tortoise' 120mm shell.
In my Tort I play quite consistently and aggressively since the gun trolls at longer ranges. The results seem to depend a great deal on RNG and the opponents. In one recent night I bounced over 6k and was killed in 3 shots the moment I reached the point of engagement. The absolute best was having a Char hit me for its entire magazine...frontally...from edge of render...to start out a match.
I feel as though the tortoise is just the yamato of world of tanks. An oldie but a goldie that never lost it’s effectiveness despite power creep. Strong in most scenarios, but with one glaring weakness. Tortoise has the tumor on it’s head, yamato has the infamous cheek citadel.
Tortoise supremacy! I love the tort so much, I play on console and it's pretty strong with around 5k dpm, running a three-man platoon with only Tortoises is hilarious, enemies practically melt away under the barrage And to Eddie you are in my thoughts and prayers, I know it's not much and is cliché but I'm hoping everything gets better
Worth noting that all but ~350 damage that opmarketgarden took while crossing that field in the first few minutes of the battle were from the Renegade firing non-premium ammo. He had more or less full access to the flat side of the Tortoise and was able to just wreck it without paying too many credits. So that wasn’t the result of loading skill so much as it was one tank being well-positioned to contest his bold shenanigans. Also, get well Eddie! Stay strong bud.

As this is high tier, Kampfpanzer 3, Prototype 07 could reference some fore bearer of the Leopard, but HK can't be Heckler & Koch, as they have always been a small arms manufacturer.
On scale: I remember when Wayne Gretzky was in his prime, and thought he was a tiny little guy. No, he's 6 feet tall and built like the proverbial masonry outbuilding, it's just that the other hockey players were shaved yetis/sasquatch. On the pronunciation of that one tank's name: probably best approximated by the sound a cat makes just before ruining your shoe.
This match reminds me of a game I played back in 2020 in the su-122-44 their was an is6 on our team when the game started the first thing that came out his mouth was we were all bad we all said ok he then proceeded to spend the entirety of the game sitting at the back of the map were getting slaughtered and when he was the last one he just drowned himself
The penetration on premium ammo actually hasn’t gone up, if anything it actually went down this past two years. If you notice newer tanks from tier 9 only reaches up to a maximum of 325mm. And majority can only reach around 300-310, old tanks like the ST-1, M103, T-10, Wz-111-4 used to reach up to 340mm And tier 10’s only reach 315-330. While it was average even for mediums to have around 330 even reaching up to 350. Only tier 8’s tanks are getting upgrades both on armor and premium ammo, like the new TS-54, Iron Arnie, Bz-176, Tornvagn,
About angling the tortoise: I dont know about here but when it got introduced into the better tank game I couldnt fail to notice that it has a massive variety of plates in front, almost every single one different thickness, but when you analyze it from the frontal head on point of view, it all makes up to around 170 (or was it 270? Cant remember, cant be bothered to check for sure) mm of effective armour. Which is all messed up as soon as you angle it because you get much more variety in effective thickness then as well...

Jingles! Tanks GG site is usually good for looking up tanks. Like the KPz 3 Projekt 07 HK is under the German list, tier IX. Its basically a fast medium tank with a decent DPM but the accuracy isnt so German. When you load the skill, the pen is good but not best in class. I'd think you would choose this for the opportunities to relocate but with the horrific gun traverse, this tank needs a skilled crew. It kind of similar to the Swedish TDs (great gun depression, fast but comes with different trade offs, fast firing guns and is meant to snipe).
Did a quick search, and the new tank is apparently a German research project based on the Swedish S-tanks. No blueprints, obviously, but it’s a fun idea I guess.
14:51 to be fair, the LTG would have won easily, but RNG screwed him over, I mean he bounced 2 shots from the flat side of the Tortoise at a perfect angle for him to go through
The first shot you could argue that he was shooting flat but the second shot he def took at a angle which for that gun would’ve never pen’d in a thousand years
@@SahiPie still my point stands, he would have died if it wasn't for RNG, the first shot was 5 degrees at best, I'm guessing he might have hit one of those track pieces on the side that count as extra armor
to be fair to the leo, as a bottom tier medium with no armor, falling back and sniping is the best thing he could have done after the middle and east sides of the map fell to the enemy team

The Tortoise is so chonky it makes a 120mm gun look like the 57mm on the T28! One of my favourite tanks at Bovington!
I think there's one in Bovington IIRC - i still remember it being massive when I visited there with my REME grandfather as a child.

well, the Tortoise participated in the powercreep. They super buffed the armour on it not too long after they put the badger in the game if I recall.
It's hard to blame people for firing gold when half of the cupola weakspot has ~100mm more effective armour than it used to have.

The one possible outcome I can think of is that the LTG DID flip himself but had enough traction remaining to unflip himself at 3 inches/minute.
14:51 to be fair, the LTG would have won easily, but RNG screwed him over, I mean he bounced 2 shots from the flat side of the Tortoise at a perfect angle for him to go through
The first shot you could argue that he was shooting flat but the second shot he def took at a angle which for that gun would’ve never pen’d in a thousand years
@@SahiPie still my point stands, he would have died if it wasn't for RNG, the first shot was 5 degrees at best, I'm guessing he might have hit one of those track pieces on the side that count as extra armor

to be fair to the leo, as a bottom tier medium with no armor, falling back and sniping is the best thing he could have done after the middle and east sides of the map fell to the enemy team
