    Great video! Very informative and well done. I’m a big fan of BlackWidow exhaust. I think they’re well made, look great, and sound even better. I have a full system on my CRF, and they’re the first company I think of when upgrading exhaust now. Is there any noticeable power increase?

    • @ontheroadadventure
      @ontheroadadventure  11 місяців тому

      Thanks, I wouldn’t say it made a power difference on this bike. I now have the same exhaust fitted to my CRF1100 and it’s great 👍

      No need to do anything to change the exhaust and decat. There are options to remap if you go as far as the air intake kit as well then it’s a good idea to get the best from it

    • @ontheroadadventure
      @ontheroadadventure  Рік тому +1

      Well my thinking was I have 3 years to worry about that! If you have a friendly mot tester you’ll probably just get the noisy exhaust advisory. Worse case you’ll have to switch it back

    Is it possible to decat while keeping the stock exhaust?

    • @ontheroadadventure
      @ontheroadadventure  6 місяців тому +1

      Yes you just buy the decat link pipe, the bit between the headers and exhaust.

    If I install slip on, remove cat and then aftermarket intake on ktm 890 adventure, do I need Power Commander to not damage the engine? Or the bike will map by itself and adjust fuel?

    • @ontheroadadventure

    How did you get the bottem circlip back on the header pipe to the new link , its so tight, must be a technique ??? any pointers greatly appreciated, despparate to get her back together :)

    • @ontheroadadventure
      @ontheroadadventure  11 місяців тому

      Ahh yes I know exactly what you mean, was not easy! It can only go on one way, you need to have the rear half lined up on the link pipe as you connect it and bolt it all up. I know I did take a few frustrating attempts and I couldn’t understand why a normal exhaust clamp couldn’t have been used like everyone else!

    • @the-real-bert
      @the-real-bert 2 місяці тому +1

      i've done two of these now and I think that the link pipe hole position is wrong, it is a millimetre or two too low so you can't get the bolt in when the lower clamp is even loose, I think they need to remake them with that adjustment and it would fit like a glove at the moment it's just out of spec. in the video he skips this part which I feel is very telling.
