Do NOT Bother with this in Thailand!
History... never boring. Thank you for sharing it Ewa.
Being a bit sensitive isn't he, get a grip
Seems he was having a bad day and took it out on us
Just found you...liked and subscribed....I'll forgive you for being in Devon 😂...I'm in Cornwall...using my Kawasaki ZR 750 for winter riding at the moment...hoping to get my Yamaha Virago 1100 back from the garage for the Spring....New exhaust and carbs balanced.....be nice to ride it again...I'll look for you on Facebook 😉👌
Welcome bud! Glad to have you with us, We have a few videos down in Cornwall to keep you entertained on the channel until the start of our next tour. Dont worry Spring is coming...
I’m 💯 % with you on taking your own bike when touring, to me that’s what why I have it.
Its a tricky one, we have had a few good trips on hired bikes but it usually presents additional Challenges, We much prefer to go on our long tours with our own bikes and kit but it isnt always possible
What an asshole.
Great review and it looks good but personally I wouldn't buy any Chinese bike. Cheers,😊
We were very impressed with the Voge, we found it very hard to knock it in the review even though its chinese
3 of us are heading down to Poole then doing the coast to lands end in may 👍👍
Awesome theres a couple good bike cafes in Poole, of course there this one and a few more in Devon too. Are you Camping or hotel?
@ hotels we are staying or b&b it we are thinking about doing the coast all the way back around 👌👌
Beautiful drive ruined by a dick. The guy’s five minutes of fame is him being a raging arse. His family must be so proud of him.
And happy in the knowledge that all the waste you produced will soon be in the ocean.
If you didn't ride in the wet and cold, then you wouldn't ride much at all in the UK.
Sad but true 👍
Thats Brecourt Manor at 10.41...to the right is the field where Easy Company took the 4 German 105mm guns as seen in Band of Brothers Tv series episode called Day of Days...Looks like a great trip to take guys.
Oh amazing, I bet there are so many things we pass by and just don’t know… every hedgerow has a story here.. we will go back to Normandy for sure
I really appreciate you taking the time to address the audio balance in your videos! I noticed the improvement, and it makes a significant difference for those of us listening with headphones. I hope this adjustment wasn't too much extra work during the editing process. Thanks again for your attention to detail!
Hi, no problem. We are still getting to grips with our new Mics and there many settings! Glad the changes in this video sound better in the headphones 👍
Bike is locked away from from November to March. No point in risking your life when you have a car
Not long left for you to wait bud, spring is coming!
@ thank god!
Much Prefer my Givi Tanklock device!, Beats me why all manufacturers cant make the bags waterproof without adding a cover!👍🏴
Yes we hate added waterproof cover, surely it goes without saying the bag design must be waterproof not an afterthought
Just subscribed , looking forward to taking my test this year and getting into the bike world. Being over 40 years old I don't think it's too late and I will definitely be riding this time of year aswell although carefully. Great vlog 👍
Welcome aboard! Congratulations and taking your test, it will change your life!
go down to Portugal vis France that would be a good ride. when you both coming down under aust.
We did Portugal in April last year, was very cold at night 🥶
great stuff both
Thanks Allan, Hope your getting out as best you can. We are so looking forward getting back on the road
It's times like these I wish we had smell-o-vision... or taste-o-vision. Those burgers looked epic!!
Yes that was a great one. This is by far my favourite thing to cook with, its like having a easy bbq anywhere anytime without all the mess and hassle!
Ježek! Were you in Slovenia?
Yes, this was on our last Europe tour, you can see the full video if you click the link in the short
Went trough every setting i could find... left it a few days now seems ok . Glad it was just me
Good News! Well done bud
Did miss something the old scooters disappeared!!!???
I think you missed the previous episode, where we hired two new bikes. Check out the CT125 vs PG-1 episode. Dont worry we havent seen the back of the scooters yet!
Wow almost a live reply ❤.. yes I have just realised that. At least TV is playing in English all the time now time for some binge watching
Yes we try to be here in the comments as much as we can to chat
Hello! When I watch your videos I also learn something useful. Let me also tell you that your displays on your motorcycles still have the factory protective film. It looks really ugly in the videos because you can see air bubbles under the film. Buy protective glass (Gorilla Glass) if you are worried about scratches on the screen and it will also make the transparency and visibility of the displays really better in all weather conditions :-). All the best on your journeys!!!
We are not convinced it is Protective film, it seems to be part of the screen itself, we dont fancy pulling it off, if we are right its a 2k mistake!
@@ontheroadadventure Look at the difference between the two small displays on the bottom: - he has the protective film still installed, - she has no protective film on the bottom display. On the top displays both films are still on.
Thats a gamble neither of us want to take! We suspected the same thing but it wont come away easily so best left alone
Nice bike. As always the issue is with Triumph the company and its seemingly compulsive habit of leaving its customers out in the cold when it comes to support. good luck dealing with any service , you'll be almost forced to take a flogging from the dealer service department or for those committed do-it-yourselfers you'll be searching the world for parts like brake pads and rotors only to be ridiculously over charged in the unlikely event that you do find them
Take it you have had a bad experience then? My experience has been good with Triumph, but having said that we lost our local Triumph dealer in plymouth Recently
As generations pass, you turn from a paying guest into "money". For a culture like Italy that has been exposed to tourism for so long, it's only natural that you're seen as banknotes traveling on bikes. Thanks.
Sadly i think your right, we look like walking wallets ripe to be taken for a ride
Oh those keys rattling on your shiny petrol tank made my husband squirm! He only uses his bike key "on the bike" protecting the bodywork. Alternatively he uses plastic film as a safeguard. Glad you got out on your bikes more than we've done. Looking forward to your 2025 adventures.
Yeah he’s spot on! Ewa has tank stickers for that reason, should sort myself some really 👍
I agree, topboxes do affect the ride and look ugly. Soft side panniers are my luggage of choice every time, plus a waterproof roll bag if needed. Well done to Brian for his sewing. Sad we didn’t get to see Zoe’s cakes - get up earlier next time!
Yeah we dipped out there at the cafe, we did manage to secure a bit of flapjack though. They get so busy there and we can see why!
What about the ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao? It must be warmer there? Safe riding both of you
Thats a good option, then ride as far south as we can get! Its still really cold at night in the north. We went in april last year and it was really cold so January might be a bit foolish unless we go as far as Morocco!
As per your request, two dates for your diary: Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 February. Bristol Classic MotorCycle show | Classic Bike Shows Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 July WSRA Steam Rally Taunton A steam rally run by the West Somerset heritage steam railway but also includes classic cars and motorcycles Come and say hello. I will definitely be on the VJMC (Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club) stand at the steam rally both days. Possibly on the stand on the Sunday at the classic bike show John from sunny Devon
Sorry. WSRA Steam Rally Taunton is 2 & Sunday 3 August, not July
Thanks John, We have a video from last years Classic show i believe, Always a good event
Cheers
So nice to hear somebody else likes a cheddar and hp sandwich, I thought I was the only one.
We like Cheddar a little more than we should probably lol
i rode to work last winter on days when there was so much snow that going on bicycle was impossible. One day there was enough snow that it covered my ankles when riding on my crf 300l. That must have been what good 40-50cm atleast. I wonder if On the road would still ride if it was snowy and -28 degrees celcius or would the title of the video be bit different
Where are you from bud? In the uk Generally we ride unless theres ice on the ground, although with some good tyres on a CRF300 L id give it a go in the snow!
I really did not like exhaubt in honda.
Because it was high up you mean?
The swmotec i would say is far better for a tank bag. That magnet base is so easy on and off. Looks more of a phaff with the straps
This one is designed so the straps can turn it into a bag too, although we agree we probably wont use it like that
Ill just leave a comment because it helps
Thanks bud, we appreciate having you with us 👍
My husband is the biker but I enjoy watching your videos. You live in a fabulous part of the country and how great to get out, go for a coffee and chat with the like minded, especially in winter!
@@bluewendytube We love this ❤️ Great to have you both with us
Wife and I have booked 2 weeks in Burton Bradstock (as a cabin base to explore from) in August. Thanks for the ideas of where to ride out. We might have a saunter up Tuesday evening
Awesome, it’s so good to have trips to look forward too
We have just bought 2 sets of shad tr40 soft bags and light racks that i have fitted on to our GS's and they save a hell of a lot of weight against the vario box's we used to use. They are lockable aswell and you just remove and carry to hotel room or tent. plus they have a dry bag that fits inside to keep everything dry too. Check their website out??
Like the tunes today guys, nice vid. Also really enjoyed the subscriber minute. I had a great day out in dry countryside, 36°c tho', dirt ride, home for a wash and chain service.
Thanks bud, we are envious of your weather! We are working on our next escape plan!
Can you wear the Keis gloves under the jacket if you want?
Yes, well I can on mine, of course it depends on the cuffs of your jacket
Say guys... in the UK you already are in Europe, since the UK consists out of several European islands, as you probably will know. So If you want to refer to the rest of Europe; you can refer to the European Mainland or the European Continent, but you can't go to Europe from the UK, since you already are in Europe. When you are in Devon and you want to go for a ride, you do not say to each other: let's go to the UK: because you already are in the UK and so in Europe, right? The same goes for being in the UK and saying that you are going to Europe, which is virtually impossible, since you already are in the UK in Europe. Being no longer part of the EU, does not mean you are no longer part of Europe, which is a pure geographical fact that the UK is part of Europe. Have a nice ride, guys ! Until the next one !
Ha, I do see what you’re saying and it makes perfect sense! I guess we feel disconnected from it now since Brexit being that we have rules now on how long we can be out of the uk now etc. Worse thing the uk has done for years in our opinion 🤷♂️
@@ontheroadadventure Well I'd say make it a Bregret and reconnect to the EU... although this is quite a process and a costly one, but I personally think that no matter the primary costs, the UK is always better off within the EU, in the long run anyway.
@ we try not to worry to much about politics but when it restricts our movements we take keen interest in
@ Yeah, let's leave politics to politicians, right...? Well, that's really the whole thing here: restricting movements...that's no bueno...
Poor leadership here is seeing allot of brits Abandon ship...
Much prefer to connect a tank bag with a tank ring or even a magnetic tank bag. There are many places to travel to in winter that's has half decent daytime weather but not for camping at night. Even Morocco will get down to freezing at night at this time of year.
I think Morocco is cheap enough to use hotels though, just a bit of a miserable few days riding to get there
@@ontheroadadventure And you won't be using up any EU allowance. An EU passport required asap! 😉
I dont think its possible to change my passport type but it does seem when me and ewa are married i can travel with her and the 90 days no longer counts as she is on Polish passport
Love mine
We used these in Thailand recently and we really enjoyed them
As always love the content you two give you us all ...re the tankbags sorry guys looks like a major "Faff" to me ....try a handlebar bag ...yes of course has less space but big enough for essentials....keep up the great work ....love you bye :)
Handle bar bag looks good but we use our bar to connect the satnav. Will see how we get on with the tank bags so far we like them
You are in Torqui (?) ? Did you go visit Fawlty Towers? Re: riding in winter. Yeah, right. Where I live it is still snow mobile time. I look out of my window and see white. White everywhere. And it's cold. At times it is really cold with the wind whining in the window frames. Grey skies. Under cloudy economic circumstances. It is the new Canada. Not a land of milk and honey at the moment. However, on the bright side. Change is on the horizon. I can sense that we'll see spring in a couple of months and I can put the heart back in my beast and begin to enjoy the brief season that is allotted to us in Alberta. Your riding season certainly is one of the attractions left to living in the UK. Your bikes look excellent. Good choice to take the boxes off. With weight, those things cause your front end to be too light in my opinion. They may be handy but in my opinion not such a good idea. Side bags, panniers are a better fit, as is a goodly tank bag. Thanks for another lovely post. Incredible how, in January it is already green in Merry ol' England.
Your right, when the bikes are loaded up for touring the front is very light and handlebars can shake when you let go… Soft luggage is the way to go.
It looks like incomplete combustion and I think it was still about battery. Thanks.
Who knows but it’s been good ever since so that’s good 👍
Try and get a windbreaker for the stove
Yes we added that to our kit after this episode 👍
Fly & Ride is a good option. I shipped my bike to Malaga, I fly out Saturday to pick it up @ the airport and ride around Morocco. Just over 1300 return.
How much is shipping the bike and which company did you use to do it?
There's a company here in Ireland called overlanders, who ship bikes to and from malaga, Bilbao, faro . I did Bilbao return faro cost about 700 all in plus cost of flights. They take your bike plus all your gear.
I think it would be much better for us to ride down given two bikes would need to be paid
(5:05) Awe, love the Black nails
Thanks
