Overall positive view of the Speed, I echo most of the thoughts the Goerilla answers a number of the criticisms though to offer competition. I bought a blue one as a first larger bike as an older rider it's fast enough handles well good brakes and frugal enough though along with the speedo take the mpg figures eith s pinch of salt. Yes the short mudguard is a negative as is no centre stand, no mouth for bobbins to lift bike up, low gearing and I cannot say having the chain on the same side as the exhaust makes cleaning and maintenance easy. Eventually got my Triumph screen not very effective had to wait 4 months after delivery bearing in mind it and bike ordered in November. Faults just the immobiliser light and stalling coming to rapid halt seems to be kill switch wesk detent will have to see what dealer says though the immobiliser light is a repeat offender.

A visit to Arnhem isn't complete with a visit to bunker Diogenes in Schaarsbergen. Diogenes was the luftwaffe headquarters. Every radarpost and airfield stood in contact with Diogenes. They led the fighters to the bombers and it's function was the defense of the German industrial heart the Ruhr area. And looking at the losses of the alied it worked very wel. The Germans thought the landing of troups around Arnhem was to attack the bunker and tried to destroy it themselves with airplane bombs but it held. Only the big operation room was destroyed.

I think foreigner can buy motorcycle in Thailand. I have ever seen Myanmar workers. They come to work for my sister. They buy motorcycle about 30,000-40,000 baht. Thai second-hand 100 cc. motorcycle is about 10,000-20,000 baht only You may sell it after use. In Thailand 100 cc. motor can go everywhere... 😊

Nit picking, sorry. Westerners often label small cc motorcycles as scooters. Vespa is the grand daddy of scooter. Here is the definition: a light two-wheeled open motor vehicle on which the driver sits over an enclosed engine with legs together and feet resting on a floorboard. A motorcycle has foot pegs, no floorboard. Honda CT125, Yamaha PG1, Honda Wave are all small motorcycles about 110-125cc, but they are not scooters, period. It's true nowadays that scooters are everywhere in Southeast Asia as it is an automatic, no chain, easy to use. But CT125, PG1 is not automatic, have clutch (semi-automatic, pressing foot engaging clutch/gear at the same time) and chain. BTW, the narrow road has Yang trees (rubber trees) at least 100 years old. It used to be the main road coming from Lampang to Chiang Mai, but not any more as a new highway was built about 4-6 lanes linking Lampang and Chiang Mai.

I hired a cb500x for 14 days worked out about 200 pounds a day including all accomadation meals except beer Im currently in England for another day with my folks before flying back to Oz I have just watched a lot of your blogs from here in the UK Good to see you getting around alot
