FERRARI 458 REVIEW!: The Best Ferrari Modern Classic SuperCar?…3 years in the making!! We Now Have the Supercar Driving Comparisons to Finally Deliver a FAIR 458 Review! Can You Guess Our Conclusions? Hope you enjoy the video guys!
This just popped up as a recommended video, and - besides being a great, honest review - the sound and production quality are excellent! Great spec on the car, too!!! Good luck with the channel👍
Nice review. I have 458 italia for last 3 years. Drove around 4k ( not long journeys like you) and loved it since day 1. I Still wish to drive more if time allows. I have thought to replace it few times recently but stuck as nothing is coming in close to give same thrills. Reliability is phenomenal. I have just put fuel and bought insurance +yearly service till now. I have. Subscribed your channel since you bought your 458 after Porsche and enjoy your passion and honest reviews. Keep it up
Great job on the review Rich . The 458 is one of my favorite Ferraris for the money and the spider even better if you live in an area to enjoy open top driving .
Enjoyed your detailed review of someone who really uses it on the road. Did you have it in bumpy road mode as I noticed how little you moved around at speed? Is sport mode OK for UK roads?
On most roads non-bumpy mode is fine. BR mode is automatically engaged for Wet mode and can be switched on in Sport and Race. Checkout my video on the Mannettino
I agree with the 296 , it looks OK but not a ferrari somehow , the 458 is the last ferrari I actually like . Don't like the design of any ferrari after it
Good info and points but in the 3 years how was the reliability?? Was it flawless? Did you buy it from a Ferrari dealership? I prefer the trail end of a430.... Try to get your hands on a430Scudeia...
All your questions are answered in my 458 Spider Playlist...Start with the collection video. Also I have already reviewed a Scuderia...JayEmms!...check out our Car Reviews Playlist.
Watching this during winter when I can't drive my own 458 spider. Have had it for 6 years and will never sell it. I have a few newer Ferraris too like sf90 which is amazing too, but different compared to 458. 458 must be in everyone's collection. It's just brilliant. Everything else on the same platform isn't really comparable
I actually said In My Opinion... This is because the Sports Carbon Race seats in a 458 are very much sought after by potential customers therefore if you car does not have them it makes it marketable to a smaller customer base. Many sports cars and Supercars that adopt Race Sports seats are not comfortable but with the 458 they are very comfortable therefore again another reason why most people prefer them. In addition, in my opinion they really make the interior of a highly specced 458 Pop.
Absolutely,458 is definitely a better drive on Mountain roads. I drove both the F12 and the 458 with Stratstone Ferrari Wilmslow on a VIP drive out to the Isle of Man 2915
Correction: the first of the Ferrari mid mounted V8 engined cars to have the engine mounted longitudinally was the 348, then 355 and so on. The 308 and 328 were as the Dino, engine mounted transversely. The exception, one might argue, was the 288 GTO, which the body was based on the 308 and engine mounted longitudinally, but that was a special car and not the normal production 308.
Listen to the video again and you’ll note that I was correct in what I say. In addition the 308 was released first as a Dino and in GT4 2+2 guise and this was re-branded as a Ferrari before the 328 variants. As an aside, why on earth set a userid as Prick if wanting to be taken seriously?!…The mind boggles!
@@RichReviews_ You say in the video "downstream from the 308 onward". A person would then interpret this as meaning that the 308 and 328 would have longitudinally mounted engines, which they do not. Can you at least agree that the 328 is "downstream" of the 308 and that its engine is mounted transversely? I think you should correct the video. You're right on my name. I had been thinking about changing it and I have today. Thanks mate.
I have both ! and please 🙏 don’t tell me any stories especially with your standard exhaust .. 🤣.. The 458 didn’t get the screaming high pitch sound even I have the Novitec system + 100 cell cats on the 458 installed .. it sounds amazing no question, I love it and far far better as 488 or F8 with any mods , but the 355 with Capristo stage 3 reflects the true Ferrari F1 high pitch sound By the way , It’s a pleasure to listen to your amateurish , superficial knowledge 😂 channel 🤣😂 it’s amazing
@juergengrosser444 oh dear, another inferior keyboard warrior with delusions of grandeur. Novitec systems don’t bring out the best from a 458, far from it, so you’ve wasted your money!
FFS the tricolore central stripe on the goldrake racing seats isn't as rare of a spec option as you think. It's just not that big of a deal. If anything your car looks pretty standard as spec goes lolol
@@RichReviews_ lmfaoooo I own a 458 Italia myself in Giallo Triplo Strato since 2017 and specced my 812 GTS in 2022 via Atelier with options cost in excess of £100k. 😂😂 Have you ever optioned airbrushed shields yourself?? Dreamlines? Colored carbon? Special colors?? And I’m the one who knows little 😂😂😂 lower your ego old head and carry on with your cute little reviews

If only it had the talent of the 430.... I'd want the 456 Special

So informative and video is nicely done. Love your work.
Thank you Elvie.
smashing video👍🏼
I love how everybody loves different styling. I really h8te the 296 styling. It’s to Corvette for me. Nice review btw. Thank you for that.
Thank you

Totally agree. Thank you for watching.
Nice roads. Makes me happy we have a 458
💯 % agree
Morning Rich,
Another great in depth review.
Thank you Roy, much appreciated.
Oh I forgot about that 812 N-Largo. Now that's an insane car.
Yes but 812 not a Supercar. 😁
@@RichReviews_lol then what is it?
A GT car.
@@RichReviews_ Lol 812 is a supercar dude.
@beamercrew Says who? You? Ferrari recognise it as simply a front engined V12.
Why do you say the carbon racing seats are "essential" to retaining value in a 458?
I actually said In My Opinion...

Stay tuned for this week's drop...I qualify this even further!
Yes. Great NA engine, good styling that avoids the excesses of "modern" designs.
Couldn't agree more
Beautiful 458.My faves lookswise....diablo vt,f50 and...enzo.
Of Course it is...the car is a Masterpiece Artwork, like it was sculptered by Leonardo Da Vinci. It IS THE BEAUTIFUL CAR EVER DESIGNED BY FERRRAI ❤

Yes the 348 was the first rear mid-engined Ferrari Supercar to have the V8 longitudinally mounted.
Challange grill is a grill as in the name Challenge Grill, what you have is not challenge grill.
In the video I did not say it was called the challenge grill on the 458. Please listen again.
You got me my 3k miles (also 3 year ownership)
Awesome!
Could anybody comment as to whether this 458 spider will hold it's value in the coming years...Decade? 🤔
You’d need a very powerful crystal ball to answer that!
Yes it is.... lol. Quite simply. The most beautiful, the last NA V8, twin clutch and the last Ferrari before the rubbish UI and infotainment.
The 296 does have the worlds worst user interface, you couldn't leave with it. I'd have a 458, or I'd go with a manual 550 or 360.
Sad day when you sell it Rich..or will you keep it for many years?
I'd like to think the only car to replace it would be a Speciale...but depends on life and its curve balls. 😃
@@RichReviews_ same answer here!
I am owner of a 355 and 458, and what you are saying is simply bullshit the 355 is much better sounding car
It is what it is !

Air brushed shields are created from a template not hand custom air brushed!
Dreamlines are not a classy look….Hmmm
