The door to my Hotpoint washer dryer doesn’t have a squeeze handle only pull. Should this technique work for my machine regardless of handle? Many thanks.
Although I managed to get machine to do a quick wash cycle 15 minutes I still cannot get the spin cycle which is separate cycle that runs for 17 minutes. Just does startup but then nothing. Do you think it could be the door mechanism and something to do with a wax part? Or should I buy a whole new door mechanism which I understand controls the spin cycle? Any advice would be useful please 🙏🏻
Ok I'm no washing machine engineer I purely share things that have worked for me .. you can try unplugging your machine from the power .press and hold the power button for 30 seconds ..then leave the machine for at least 15 mins mybe 30 minutes then plug in back in do the door opening and closing 6 times within 12 seconds then do a full load on your normal setting and see if it works 🤞🤞🤞 nothing to lose by trying 🤠🤠
My Simpson 6.5 Eziset washing machine lost its hose at the back so i moved to replace it and then moved back to ensure stable surface but its lights are all flashing and wont program when i put the lid down . It will with the lid open but of course cant use it with an open lid ....so ive been hand washing for 6 months and i have arthritis in my hands and lower back so its been a nightmare. Tried the open close door but didnt work....theres nothing broken loose or otherwise .. simply went off balance coz of shifti g it ....SOS please !!!
Top load machine.. I'm not 100% but you can try disconnect the power. Press and hold power button switch for 10 secs ...then wait 15 minutes ... do the door 6 times within 12 secs .. and give it a try

Just trying it now. When I put my clothes in it was not spinning . I took the clothes out and did the door thing 6 times. And tried the spin only without clothes now it is spinning without clothes. Im worried if it still work when I put clothes in.
It's running the machine empty or with a light load that throws out the load sensor. Just have to try it . If it doesn't spin do the 6 times and put a load of washing in
I would check the drain hose isn't kinked ... take the filter out and look at the fan inside make sure there's nothing blocking it ... make sure the drain hose isn't clogged in any way

I've tried every single thing mentioned and I can't get it to reset. I leaned over to get soap powder but leaned on the control panel with the door open. So it's locked in a cycle I can't get the lock symbol off but it's also not started. I can't unplug it because the plug is behind the washing machine I can't pull it out. I turned all the electrics mains off for 45 minutes thinking that would work. But no it's still got the lock symbol and I've still got a load of washing not being washed. I put Ace on some of the clothes so they'll be ruined.

How old is the machine?? Have you checked the drive belt? Empty the machine and see if you can turn the drum by hand .. its not lose or broken.... if alls well unplugging it from the wall hold the power on button for about 60secs then leave the machine for 15mins plug it back in and try and di the master reset again... make sure there is at least half a load of washing in the machine before you try it in a cycle 🫰🫰🫰🫰
Doenst work for mine (Gorenje washing machine). It is less than 1 year old, also it washed normally and sudenlly stoped and the controls wont work...I cleaned the filter, checked electric and everything. My clothes are trapped in, and since there are holidays till tuesday I wont be able to do much. So annoying.

We had a weird connection, where the washing machine had it's own switch (also very old switch and dont know why someone would need switch for their washing machine 😅) and the wires inside were a bit smoked. Its weird that fuses didnt respond on that. Gladly we discovered it pretty quickly and now the machine is connected straight to the socket only.

This happened to me I have this same one I did a small load a couple of tea towels a top and got to the end and it just stopped without spinning I read the manual and it didn't say anything about it. I won't use it now unless I have a full load.
Haha, I have just put a few bits in, and it's not done the end spin. It's a new machine, so I will try. The condenser dryer has a reset button on the back of the machine to. Just a little information before you pay the technician to reset your dryer 😊😊 Hey I went to back to the washer, and it had done the spin. It was the small load that obviously messed with the sensor 😊😊

E12 and E10 error codes on a washing machine usually indicates a problem with the water filling. Check the water is on . Is the machine filling???

After youve open and closed the door 6 times, does a light or message appear saying resetting? In other words, how do you know its been resetted?
No messages. You just have to try and run it though a wash cycle.. see if it has worked ...

Something to do with a load sensor.. I think it uses the load sensor to calculate the weight and washing 1 item can throw it out 🤔 I think 🤠

I seriously thought this was a wind up. Tried it then ran a short cycle with the machine empty and it worked! Now to try with clothes in it :)

Sounds like you may have a more serious problem have you checked your fuses in plug and fuse box etc
