I appreciate the time and planning you put into your videos, Jen. They are always helpful and quite informative, with information that is trustworthy. So, thank you so much!
I used to shop almost entirely at Walmart, now that we have ALDI I only go to Walmart about once a month, ALDI has such great options. I’ll have to check out those power crunch bars!
I am doing something similar to you! I have lost about 45 pounds so far and would still like another 25. I am going to classes at the gym 3-4 times a week and am seeing a huge difference in how I feel. I’m turning 40 this year too and I want to be healthier and feel better than my 30’s! ❤
Hey Jen. You are such an inspiration! At so many different levels. Just saw your grocery haul and prep video before this. Your videos are very pleasant and motivating! Thanks so much for all your amazing content. Love your channel! ❤️😊🙏🙏🙏💐
I don't really know what I've been doing with my life, I've never been an Aldi shopper, I've probably shopped there maybe 3or 4 times. I'm stoked now 😃. Thanks for sharing those healthy snacks/ meal ideas
Another thing to think about when shopping on a health journey is ingredients. I have chronic inflammation issues (basically thyroid & joints) and different oils make a big difference. I happened to be watching a FlavCity video where he was talking about oils causing inflammation. I virtually cut out all oils except for extra virgin and avocado……….GAME CHANGER!!!!! I know it’s virtually impossible to not eat anything processed, but I can tell a huge difference when I ingest all the extra crap & chemicals versus whole, real foods. The way my body feels has made that a priority for me. The one exception for me (same for you)……pop. I can’t dump my Diet Coke and diet sprite. 😂😂
Great healthy suggestions! I'm trying to lose some weight and move everyday. Even just a 20-30 minute walk. It is hard to be consistent so trying to incorporate daily habits. 🥰
Hello from Oregon, Today I did the dollar store under bed long bag with two short fabric boxes flat to fit in the bag I learned on homestead helping put stuff away and out of site. My short rolls of Christmas wrap fit and the two boxes put on each end with bows and gift ribbon in the center was a great thing and fit under the bed I also bought the garnet bag that Zip's fit the long wrapping paper and bows and hanging in the closet on the side what a great way to put it up. With that 90 percent sale I got at Walmart I didn't know what to do. Nice and happy.
Really love this video! Great to see different options :) my health goal is to lose around 100lbs. I’ve had two major heath issues with two different organs after having my daughter last year, and it’s been a massive wake up call! Looking at it in a positive light and seeing it as an exciting challenge to enjoy the food I’m eating, while losing weight. Please keep the positive vibes coming! ❤
I use dollar tree small mayo, canned chicken, sunflower seeds to pack when I travel! Chicken salad in my hotel room. I pack some bread and a granny Smith apple. I do also pack a can opener and knife to dice the apple.
The individual packs are great for those parent with little kids. My daughter is a type one diabetic and it’s so much easier then measuring everything out!
I bought the lentil lasagna sheets and made vegan lasagna with them. I didn't notice anything different about them. I used that Rao's sauce, and it was delicious!
Great video! One thing my Dollar Tree does that others can look for-they bring in a ton of breads that are near the expiration date. I have seen Keto bread on the rack and I mean lots of it and it is $1.25 a loaf! If you eat that then check them out and put it in your freezer. The lady behind me had 5 loaves and said she won't buy it anywhere else because of the extreme savings!
Hey Jen! A note about the Brim’s pork rinds you saw at the Dollar Tree… they are made in Memphis! They are considered a name brand in the South. They even have a Rendezvous flavor. You should give them try! Great local company for us in the MidSouth!
Thanks for this, a lot of these items will also work for someone on a tight budget that wants to eat healthy and cooking a big meal just goes to waste.
Didn't know Dollar Tree had all that! About 10 years ago, the Dollar Tree near me had a sign for $1 steaks and it used to be a running joke. They were not good quality. But times seem to have changed, that's for sure! Especially with prices for things going up so much, what a great option for people.
Great video! As I said before I'm on a similar journey to lose weight and these tips will be lots of help. I forgot about Aldi. We used to live close to one, but now it's a ways away. Looks like I need to plan an Aldi trip. 👍🏾
Omg Jen I just love your vlogs while you are shopping. I have seen a lot of different ones but you are one of the best, I love all the attention you put in about the different products. This was so much fun I hope you continue doing them.
I ❤ popcorn I was addicted to smart pop until I found The popcorn that was made with the Himalayan salt. It is the healthiest popcorn that I’ve come across 😊
I am SUPER into those Birds Eye frozen veggies and sides! All of the ones I've tried have been really good. The only thing I've noticed is that the portions aren't that big so if I want to plan for us to have leftovers, I need to cook two of them. But it's really convenient to not have to chop and season the produce if you don't have time!
Agree, Aldi has really come a long way. I always bring a cheese board to Thanksgiving dinner. Bought expensive cheeses, brie, manchego, Caprese skewers ...At the last minute I decided I needed one more cheese. Grabbed a $1.99 pepper jack at Aldi's. Guess which cheese everyone raved about?😄
Left the video I was watching to watch my girl, Jen, because I'm trying to eat more healthy and needed some pointers on what to eat for meals and snacks.
Always love your videos. you're amazing at juggling kids, home and a career. Kudos to you...I would not want anything from Dollar Tree all their products are made in China and shipped here. Even if they are name brand. ( They are Toxic ) ...They don't have any regulatory entities to monitor what they produce. It's also been proven they dump their waste products into anything exported to get rid of it. People will say they are made in the US no they are not. My body could not handle all the processed readymade foods. Microwaves have been studied and show that foods cooked in them cause weight gain, they change the scientific structure of foods. I would avoid them as well. I am also on a journey of weight loss, trying to eat what I can afford, but make healthy choices. it took me awhile to put on the pounds, it's going to take a while to take them off. Good luck in your weight loss journey.
We have both Walmart & Dollar Tree here in WA state. The third store you mentioned, I've actually NEVER heard of that store. Maybe, it's an East coast thing or a California thing? 🤔 Anyways, cool upload! Thanks 🙏🏾 for the ride-along.👍🏾💯
Was it spelled? A-L-D-I? I guess 🤔 so! I'm a dunce, I was thinking ALDO. Not enough outside-fun time! I absolutely enjoy SILK almond milk; (If your store has it?) My fave flavors are; Dark Chocolate, Vanilla & Mocha. This has been a FUN ride-along!!! Thanks. (🙏🏾👍🏾)
Aldi, despite having to deal with increases in prices, rocks as opposed to Walmart. Of note, I think animals have way better instincts than humans and my cat goes absolutely bananas over Aldi string cheese. He won't touch Walmart's. Makes one wonder... Same with chicken. He is a bit of a different "duck" though so who knows...
That hint water is absolutely a amazing. And I bought the coconut non-dairy whipped cream for my son. He's a type 1 diabetic. And it's absolutely delicious. However, the nozzle has issues. I had bought two and we had to get rid of them because after a while the novel just doesn't work anymore. But it's absolutely delicious.
Have you tried the Gatorade zero protein?? Its not bad. I also have tried protein2o and protein2o energy. I'm trying to quit my mtn dew habit. Its day 5. I'm in sugar withdrawal! My nutritionist said I need to increase protein so that's why I'm giving these a go.
I can't find the Kevin's Cauli Mash anywhere else and their price is so good. Shoprite wants double for their entrees. They don't sell the side dishes at all. I wish they would as I work there and it is more convenient for me to shop there. I would be a little curious to see the ingredients on some of the items you are showing - remember if they are using cheap inflammatory oils in any of the products then they aren't as healthy as you think. Read all the ingredients. Canola, sunflower oil, soy oil are all inflammatory. They cause inflammation in the body which causes all kinds of ailments. Any additives also do - like maltodextrin, and all the different forms of sugar. Anything made low fat or low calorie have a lot of additives when they remove the fat and higher calories in the item itself. You have to be so careful these days. Love Aldi's frozen seafood (especially the Fremont brand mixed seafood). So cheap and delicious. My son is allergic to shrimp but not calamari and clams so I buy bags of that and cook it all and he just eats the clams and the mussels and the calamari. We eat the rest. Love their cheese selection and their price on Egglife Wraps.
On my own health journey I was shocked to learn that circadian biology is a huge reason why stubborn weight doesn’t come off despite diet. Check out Dr. Lustig and circadian biology to help support your journey.❤
Great idea about getting mini condiments for dinner recipes. I love those turkey sticks I always have them in my office and have saved many coworkers of starvation lol, I'm the one w healthy snacks and they know I got them covered in a snack pinch. Hugs friend Elissa modesto cali @elissa_tc

The yellow lentil lasagna noodles are delicious I don’t notice a difference in taste and I also make it with the raos pastas sauce 😊
I'll have to try those noodles. I love lentils. Thanks for sharing!

The lentil pasta sheets at Aldi are fantastic! They are my favorite gluten free lasagne option yummy!

I looked up at my TV and there you were. Wait, my son is watching a Jen video I haven't seen? What's up with that? Lol
Great video! As I said before I'm on a similar journey to lose weight and these tips will be lots of help. I forgot about Aldi. We used to live close to one, but now it's a ways away. Looks like I need to plan an Aldi trip. 👍🏾

I jotted down some new food ideas. Thank you so much!

Such a great informative video, Jen. I loved it❤
Thank you so much Jen! I need to try some of those yummy snacks out. I hope I can find them in Canada. ❤️
$2.99 for the prepared salads? That's cheap, cos here at Krogers they're $3.99!🤔 We have Aldi here in Vegas, gotta go visit them and see what's up?

Video was ok. Very focused on just diet food.
Protein2.0 is good. But only the blue flavor. The rest are trash
