Hey, my favorite family! I love this grocery haul...I was just at Aldi the other day and now they have wild-caught shrimp and fish sticks! I was like..."WOW!" They have come a long way. I'm an 80's baby so I remember when they first came out and had pop by the names of: "Patch" (Lol)
Sugar ideas for anyone curious with not much storage space - from a prepper. If you buy regular sugar you can make your own brown sugar and powdered sugar. Brown sugar is just 1 cup sugar and 1 Tbsp molasses whisked together and powdered sugar is just blended 1 cup sugar and 1 Tbsp cornstarch.
Our Aldi and Lidl had butter 2 for $4 limit 6. We went back and got more. Lidl also had Sugar $1.69 4lbs and semi-sweet choc chips $1.29. We stocked up on that too!
Thoroughly enjoy these haul videos. But I can't imagine this will last a whole year. And $600 is far less than most much smaller families spend for a couple weeks of groceries. You did very well. Thanks for sharing. 😊P.S. Just a final thought: I find so many posters apologize for their purchases if they're not "organic" or "healthy". Why? When did we give permission to the food police to intimidate and shame us? We buy what we like and afford. It's not their business. (ok...off my soap box ... lol)
Well, this all the haul does not represent a whole year's supply of groceries for our family. Just supplemental groceries. We raise our own chickens for eggs, chickens for meat, steer for meat, we get raw milk and have raw honey here at the farm. We raise grass-fed lamb and put a lot of that up for the year. I buy bulk organic flour from Azure standard and country Life naturals. This is just items that I need specifically from Aldi that I buy in bulk. ☺️
And you're right, I don't owe anybody an explanation. But I happily give it from time to time so people can learn more about who I am and how I prefer to feed my family. ❤️❤️❤️
@Heartway Farms I am with you on this! Someone commented on one of my videos that there were "so many chemicals" in my food in my haul. 🤔 I ignored it, but inside, I was like, " For heavens sake, theres forever chemicals in the rainwater!!!!" You can not escape everything!!! We can pick and choose our battles ourselves. 🙄
Yes.. it okay to keep some preservetiv item for long term used meaning if at the end of year all the chemicals already pass over of less.. better have some food rather nothing to eat .. those that you used everyday it's good you have organic
PRICES!! 🥳 Thank you! I stopped watching grocery hauls from other You Tubers that don't show prices. I don't care what others buy, I want to know what items cost. Thanks, again!! New sub.
Lidl had butter for $1.99 and the Aldi around the corner lowered their price to match. We stocked up getting 12 at a time from both places by both of us going.
Thats a good stock up for 600 . I think a lot of people don't realise how much they actually eat at home and out and how much it costs them to eat out . We eat almost all meals at home or we make food to take a lot. It's a treat to plan a road trip knowing we'll stop at our favourite bakery. I don't mind buying condiments at all. I do now make a few special ones like apple butter bbq and peach Worcestershire sauce because I love learning how they're made and experimenting with our tastes but they're a small part of our diet. I focus instead on the majority of our food being whole and healthy . I just filled a box with raw sugar for all preserving but we get rapadura for kitchen use in coffee and daily food. Maple syrup is really hard to get at Aldi for quite a while and my youngest is limited by what she can tolerate so we're starting to mix it with golden sy. We can only do our best. You are doing amazing. I can't wait to see the basement /cellar tour 😍 Thank you for sharing lovelies 💜
We just got an big Aldi's in our area and my husband and I have just been shopping regularly there since September. But I have never seen Simply Nature brand but we have been buying the Sweet Harvest brand.
heres a tip if u put the chocolate chips, cocoa powder in the freezer it will last longer than in a tote box because of the cocoa oils that chocolate has naturally which can spoil fast
I purchase for just myself but still have many items to last me 1 even 2 years. I really hit Walmart when they reduced vegetables for a rollback price, Cranberry Sauce at another grocery store when it was less than a $1, laundry detergent for another 2 years from a surplus store, and many personal care items from the Dollar Tree. It can be done and will really save in the long run. $600.09 for a year stock up is incredible ! BUT, as you said there is so very much already stored in the cellar etc. You have been planning ahead and are goid stewards
Hey Heartway Farm family! It’s been awhile! My sister passed away on 06/29 and I haven’t been on here watching videos like I used to. But I’m back! Looks like I have a ton of videos to binge watch! Love this video! ❤ And I know it hasn’t been years but wow Tabitha and William are so big now!

It was good to see the price difference between America and Europe. I'm live in southern Spain on a sailing boat and the price of food here is a little more expensive. I love Aldi's but I remember going to Aldi's 25 years ago and being able to get all my canned goods, dairy, vegetables, and bread, bakery plus all my pasta for under $40 sometimes under $20 for 4 people so they still beat Walmart prices but their canned goods have quadrupled at least. I still 💕 love Aldi's!
Fun to watch your hauls and compare prices where we are. Aldi for organic stuff, fruit, and some of the bread from France way less expensive than other places. Be careful though, many of their brand I notice is bioengineered if that matters to you, it does for us. Happy Thanksgiving to you all 😊
If you buy sugar in bulk off of Azure Standard, you could make your own brown sugar with just molasses and the sugar. I’ve been doing it more and it tastes so much better. I order off of Azure Standard too and love how I can buy organic stuff in bulk! -Sarah
I love Aldi, they're my go-to store for most things. For some name brand things that are must-haves, I shop at Vons (Safeway/Albertsons). There are some things that I have to get at Costco because we use more or the price just can't be beat as well. A 2 pound bag of pecans at Costco used to be around $12, but have gone up to $13.89 (as of my October 31 trip), but that's still a lot cheaper than Aldi. Of course, unless you have a membership already, the cost of buying one probably wouldn't make up for just that difference.
Since I started prepping more I noticed how I concentrate on food that I can mix and match yet keep it healthy. Thinking more on what we actually need and like also. I don't buy anything that we won't eat.
If you shop Aldi all through the the year. Fresh blueberries in our area were 1.29 per pt . Instead of of picking this year it was cheaper to purchase and then freeze.
What a great haul! Thanks for sharing what works for you and yours. Also, I live in Mississippi, where we grow a lot of pecans. Many times we can pick them up out of a friend’s yard, but they are always expensive to purchase, even locally. I think it’s because the labor to get them ready to eat is extremely time-consuming, as there is a bitter, woody membrane between each half that must be removed even once you successfully crack the outer shell (which is also difficult). So you got a deal, friend! ❤
That Scalloped Corn casserole sounds like a good thing to take to a potluck or a holiday get together. Maybe you can share it sometime. I've tried to make it before and it was all runny and yuck. I'd like to give it another go. Thanks! And great haul! Those are some good prices and items!

I just stumbled upon your channel!! I love this video!! It helps so much to know what to buy and how much for my family of 6. Blessings on your weekend❤️
Walmart pecans were 12.67 this week. Like you I was at Aldis and compared prices on my phone. For that much difference I went to Walmart for the pecans.
I recently bought pecans at BJ's (my local bulk food store in Maine) and they are 16.99 for 2 lb. So pretty close in price. Thank you for the great grocery haul! I'm glad to see we are not the only family who buys organic ketchup in bulk. 😂
One thing about blueberries that I just learned. Buying wild blueberries, those tiny ones, r supposed to be comparable to organic blueberries and do taste better 😉
Hey Annie! Butter - I've been buying for $2-$2.50 at Jewel! I'll text you next time it's there. There was a "2 limit" on one sale, but the other was UNLIMITED. Much cheaper than Aldi - who knew?!
Hey Darlene! Yes, please text me and keep me in the loop. That's a great price, especially if it's unlimited. The limit of two is tough but unlimited would be great. Thank you 😊
We are ketchup people too.. living tradition and ruth zimmerman have great recipes.. tried both🤩.. ❤️❤️ Aldi too. Your prices are comparative to us in IN..
I am in western Pennsylvania and they had the butter for 2.49 for the past 2 weeks. Limit 6 but by the end of the second week of the sale they changed it to limit 3. I love the aldi organic ketchup. It was 1.39 here for awhile and this week it went up to 1.45. I am thankful I have 3 Aldies with in 10 minutes if me. A new one is going in 2 minutes from me. I love Aldies best deals.
You mentioned keeping your catsup in your refrigerator ? You go through it in a week you said we take about a month and we never refrigerate it it stays perfectly fine in our pantry after opened
I can't stock up on some things because the kids think if there's so many, they can overeat! Chips, cookies, peanut butter, nuts...if I buy it it's gone.
Sams Club is still cheapest I've found for nuts although they have also had price increase. I don't have sams in my area so I order for the convenience. I also buy their paper products making it worth extra membership to get shipped.
We buy our butter at Sam’s club it comes out to be $1.80 per box(4sticks)….. Not sure where you live but by bulk at Sam’s. We live out in country and it takes 30 minutes just to get to the nearest shopping center and 42 minutes to get to Sam’s.
I shop Aldi for organics. When I first started buying the organic beef hot dogs, there were 8 for $3.99!!! Then 6 for 4.99, then 6 for $5.49, then The disappeared for the past 2 years. Now 5 for $6.49 now is outrageous! I buy Aldi organic ketchup too. I won't be maki g any that I don't like as long as it is available there

Awesome! So glad you found us!!! Please consider hitting that subscribe button if you haven't already done so :) Blessings!!!
oh this tip that i gave for the chocolate can also be for nuts or anything that has a natrual oils
I noticed that you had purchased brown sugar molasses and sugar to make brown sugar which would probably be cheaper in the long run
Walmart pecans were 12.67 this week. Like you I was at Aldis and compared prices on my phone. For that much difference I went to Walmart for the pecans.
Very good stock ups. I like to buy yearly to on my longer pantry items. And my meats weekly. I'm do for weekly meat haul soon .
We Love this channel!! I wish we lived near a Aldi!!
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing enjoy that large grocery hall
I recently bought pecans at BJ's (my local bulk food store in Maine) and they are 16.99 for 2 lb. So pretty close in price. Thank you for the great grocery haul! I'm glad to see we are not the only family who buys organic ketchup in bulk. 😂
Our BJs in Southern New Jersey currently has two lb bags of pecan halves for $13.99. Great price!
Hi Mainer nher here
I love shopping at Aldi. I go there first before going to Shop Rite
ALDI is good love their organic line of products
If you want to make your own fry sauce just use mostly mayonnaise a bit less of ketchup and then a little bit of mustard. It is the best!
One thing about blueberries that I just learned. Buying wild blueberries, those tiny ones, r supposed to be comparable to organic blueberries and do taste better 😉
We buy grass fed butter kirkland from costco 2 pounds for 9.99
I went to Aldi just for the butter sale this week 😆
Azure frozen blueberries actually beat out Aldi a few months back, I bought 10 pounds!
Thank you 😊
I get free butter at jewel all the time w my points. Make sure you use your rewards
In Ontario Canada your lucky to find butter under $4.50 a pound
❤️❤️❤️
We are ketchup people too.. living tradition and ruth zimmerman have great recipes.. tried both🤩.. ❤️❤️ Aldi too. Your prices are comparative to us in IN..
I also buy Aldi ketchup by the case! Besides just using it as a sauce I also use it when cooking chili or sloppy joes.
Our Kroger is closing 😒 We will run 1 last time & stock bulk spices & cheese. Also herbs & nuts. 💞🙋
You mentioned keeping your catsup in your refrigerator ? You go through it in a week you said we take about a month and we never refrigerate it it stays perfectly fine in our pantry after opened
Yes, just a preference to keep it cool :)
Can I ask where you go in Michigan for your Blueberries?
❤️❤️❤️
From a private farm outside of Southaven. My parent's friends own it.
AP+ member and that's how I found y'all 😊 love seeing other people stock ups. I only shop Aldi and Azure.
Awesome 👍 thank you so much for your support!!!
❤️❤️❤️
I can't stock up on some things because the kids think if there's so many, they can overeat! Chips, cookies, peanut butter, nuts...if I buy it it's gone.
Sending support, love, and kindness from Lexington MI USA.
Thanks for letting us know that Aldi’s has a lot of organic items!😊
Sams Club is still cheapest I've found for nuts although they have also had price increase. I don't have sams in my area so I order for the convenience. I also buy their paper products making it worth extra membership to get shipped.
in Australia we spend about 10.00 a bag of nuts, pecans for a small bag
We buy our butter at Sam’s club it comes out to be $1.80 per box(4sticks)….. Not sure where you live but by bulk at Sam’s. We live out in country and it takes 30 minutes just to get to the nearest shopping center and 42 minutes to get to Sam’s.
You could buy #10 cans of ketchup and recan (water bath) them into smaller pint jars for your pantry..They are good up to 16-18 months then.
Great haul Annie, Ty for sharing. Be blessed.
❤️❤️❤️
I sure do miss Aldi's. I wish they would bring it out west!
I won't be maki g any that I don't like as long as it is available there
❤️❤️❤️
I’m shocked at how much cheaper Aldi is in your area. In Portugal many of your prices are double here!
