I always wonder seeing all these boxes is it realistic for a family of 6 with 2 teenagers? One being an athlete? I always see 1 lb of meat which is 100% not working for me! I would love to try them!
Jenn, even though your focus is to help working women with families, I can't tell you how much your tips have helped me. An older woman cooking for one now. Thank you so much for sharing your tips, along with your delightful family.🌷
OMG love this video!!!! I make a pan of bacon in the oven every week too! Great in salads, BLTs, turkey bacon wraps and breakfast for dinner!! Jen, try the trick about wrapping your lettuce in foil....i swear I'm on week 4 of my romaine lettuce...it totally works!! Clean outside of lettuce dry well and wrap in foil. Also, I am with you when i watch people who don't wash their food products...my sister works in manufacturing...you don't want to know what your food goes through. We even wipe off the milk cartons, soda, water bottles, etc. Anything you eat, drink should be washed....it drives me nuts to see people put stuff in their fridge without cleaning it. Unless you have sourced it personally....wash it!
@@Rosie-mz4bx Let's be general and kind the majority of USA factories are safe and highly regulated (thank goodness) but most people don't realize how their food goes from farm to table...it's eye opening. You also have to look at where your food comes from. How it traveled to get here, where it's stored, how it's stored...it's a long process to get to the store, is it kept up to regulations along the way? Wipe down the outside of your containers, milk, water, soda...besides washing your fruits and vegetables like Jen does as I do... LImes, lemons, oranges, apples, watermelon...you cut into it but did you wash it first? If you work in a restaurant you have to! What has run over the outside of the rind or has been exposed to is not pleasant. What employee has sneezed or coughed on it while stocking? It's out there but I wash my bananas.I have found spider eggs in my bunch (tips wrapped in plastic) from a HIGH END grocery store. It's too large to control so we must do our own part to stay safe in our own homes. If you don't source it personally....wash it!!! My sister worked in a cookie factory at one point...an employee had 2 fingers cut off in a machine which fell into the giant vat of batter...they dumped it of course...but can you imagine that happening where food processes are not regulated? There are a million stories...but wash your food :) Oh and don't keep your water bottle in the sun. I see all these stores storing water outside in the sun to sell. The chemicals from the plastic bottle over time slowly creep into the water from the heat from the sun.....so dumb. I just complained to my local grocery store about it. Disclaimer: I'm not an expert just live with someone who has worked in the food industry for 40 years and I have personal experience in the food industry.
I cook overripe berries with cornstarch and stevia. I keep this in the refrigerator. I’ll use it as a dessert by topping with granola and or cool whip. It uses them up without wasting.
I keep my Strawberries and berries in glass jars in the fridge and it really does a world of difference! They last up to 2 weeks! If they last that long in my house!
Jen you should try seasoning broccoli, toss with olive oil, and roasting in the oven. It is delicious, and the tip of the broccoli get a little crunchy. We love it. It would also taste good with a little lemon juice squeezed over the top. Thanks for sharing, your food looks amazing!~Dana
Awesome ideas as always. Same thought with the rice cooker. I bought it thinking it would be perfect. I took it back. Another gadget I won’t use. I hate clutter and have to say the Insta pot for the win. Adjusting rice types with water and seasoning mixes up consistency of the rice just fine.
Great video- I prep a batch of rice and a bag of potatoes and a pound or two dry beans in the instant pot each week. Life changing to have the bases of so many meals I make ready to go.
I don't even have the strength to cut up veggies for stew that I have been trying to make for days! So sad! I just recently was diagnosed with kidney disease and anemia plus low iron...and a brain tumor, I'm a mess..I have been in a wheel chair for over a year now with a CROW boot on because of charcot in my right foot! Anyway...admire your tenacity for getting it all together.
So happy to see you peel and chop up the broccoli stalk. I always do this with the stalk. Most people I watch throw it away. 👍🏻to you for using the stalk.
I just love the ingredient method . I for one dislike meal prepping for that simple reason of having to eat the same thing for several days in a row but prepping ingredients is genius. Thanks for the idea.
I use Debbie Meyer Green Boxes for berries. They work really well. I get blueberries to last almost a week with no rot. Strawberries seem to go faster for me. Blackberries and blueberries last about 5-7 days with no rot. So good. I put them in my yogurt at night for dessert.
I don't wash my berries until we eat them. I keep them in Debbie Meyer green boxes in layers with paper towels. Blueberries will last 2 weeks in these! Blackberries will last about a week. They have bags too to put apples, oranges, bananas etc in. Love them.
Zucchini and yellow squash are the OG summer veggie combo. I’ve been making them together for years. I usually either steam in the microwave if I’m in a hurry, or I’ll roast in the air fryer with some olive oil and seasoning.
I also prep ingredients. Makes life so much easier. I adore leftovers for this reason too - if you have leftover meat, or fish, just cut it up or flake the fish and refrigerate. I even put it on top of my dogs food - makes them eat their dinner! I got the idea to wash produce in the salad spinner from you, It really makes life easier. I never thought to clean the grapes and pull them off their stems and then put them in a container with a piece of paper towel - makes serving it so much faster. When my son asks for some, it is ready to go. Thanks for that idea!
I love fresh herbs. My grocery list always has fresh dill, fresh basil, fresh mint and fresh cilantro on it. Even if I don't use it and end up throwing it out; it's in my frig just in case I need it.
I also prep proteins. But i need ideas on using it. We're in a rut. I have loads of cooked chicken and having a hard time coming up with something different.
The drier you can get your lettuce - the less it will brown. From experience. I eat it almost every day and sometimes I will literally blow with a hairdryer (on cold) on them to get them as dry as I can before boxing it and putting it in the fridge.
I love broccoli, but I never eat the stalk. I always cut it off and only eat the other part. I can't think of what it is called right now. It will come to me after I hit send. Lol! Great ideas.
Meal prep is the only way for me to eat healthier at home. I have to have cooked proteins and a veggie and fruit tray. I like to have hardboiled eggs, chicken, steak, bacon ready. It makes us eat take out way less! I am trying to lower my triglycerides and cholesterol.
Great meal prepping tips I do this myself all the time! You have never heard of the Mariana trench? We actually had two men and a submarine dive down to the bottom of the Mariana Mariana trench. It was fascinating to watch on UA-cam. You might wanna look it up. It’s pretty interesting. The Mariana trench is the deepest point in the ocean 8:078:108:138:16
I appreciate you keep your kids off your channel, respect their privacy and dont expose them. That being said Connor always makes me laugh, i also have a son and I think they will be best friends if they will ever meet. Thanks for sharing these ideas, they are always helpful.
My number #1 reason for meal prep is because I don't make the effort unfortunately. 🤦🏼♀️ well I guess I do because I ingredient prep especially for breakfast because no way am I making bacon at 5:30am every morning especially now working until 3 am lol & I always have hard boiled eggs, salad stuff, chicken cooked or at least canned chicken. My daughter recently started liking seafood so ive been making at although it makes my house stink 😂 but anything she will eat. Lunchables too for the win!!!!!!
This way of prepping needs to be talked about more. I would meal prep and get everyone to agree on the menu and then they change their mind literally next day. It’s more about prepping options and not whole meals 😅😅 maybe it works for some families but I for sure prefer the ingredient method. Thanks for the video :)

Thanks for the ideas. I think cutting lettuce with a metal knife makes it go brown faster. Try tearing it instead.

I prep home-made sauces like tsadziki and marinate aubergines. Those make excellent sides to anything, really.
I make salsa verde chicken or pork about once a week. One of my daughters favorite meals. & always have leftovers.
I almost never meal prep but frequently ingredient prep! Makes life so much easier!
As to cauliflower, you can eat the stem too, just cut it up smaller than the florets. You get so much more out of a head if you eat the stem too.
Your meal prep is always just so mesmerizing 😍
I enjoyed these tips. I don’t know why I have not thought to prep protein ahead to use in various meal plans. Thanks. ❤
Great meal prep!! We use the hummus to make quesadillas!! Hummus, spinach, avocado and red onions on a low carb tortilla!
Thank you Jen! This is very helpful! I ordered the larger prodcue containers for lettcue off of your link. I have small containers for fruit.

It works well!

Jen, what shade is your nail polish? Love it.
Absolutely awesome video!! 😊❤️ So many helpful great ideas! Thanks a lot Jen!🥰🥰🙏🙏
What air fryer do you recommend? In search of a new one!
Thanks for the inspiration.....
Do the fruits and veggies ever taste like vinegar when using vinegar to wash them?
No.
I use my instant pot for rice too and I love it😊

Makes the best fried rice and makes it not spike blood sugar
@@debiwillis9045 how do you warm it up? I won't get mushy and soggy?
