Not bad trade in and thats a normal payment or more for a truck like this. I had a 24 offroad limited for a month 1200 miles and traded it in lol they gave me 10k less then I payed for it a month ago🤦♂️
You can tell the people that haven’t actually looked at trucks lately talking about the note. You can not get anything at this level of truck for under 800-1000 a month unless you’re putting a large large down payment. A 24 non high end Silverado LT you’re looking at 900 a month. The deal works for him so that’s it. Super nice ride!
All depends on your situation at the time. I have both purchased and leased many trucks. I look at it this way, if you don't have $$ to put down on a vehicle and you know you will not be driving a ton then leasing is a good option especially if you are more inclined to go to another vehicle with 3 years. Leasing can also get you into the vehicle you want for a little cheaper up front if you fully intend to purchase at the end (Lease to Own idea). But if you are going to lease and you have a lot of equity in the vehicle you are thinking of trading in (i.e., you owe $20k and its trade in value is $50k) don't trade it in as you will just be throwing $30k away sell it outright instead or trade it in for a purchase and keep the equity in the new vehicle. Long story if you have money to put down or have a lot of positive equity in trade I would purchase so you never loose that "investment". Its tough though when trying to get out of a lease early since you likely did not put much money down so there will almost always be negative equity in the lease. And i would try not to put to much down on a lease deal if you can avoid it as that is just money you are throwing away...sorry for the long answer. I need to stop typing as i am starting to confuse myself. Haha. Cheers!

I also know everyone's financial situations are different, but $850/mo for a Tundra LEASE is insane. The words "deal" and "savings" don't seem to belong here. Yes they took off almost 7K but they immediately put it back on with the negative equity in trade value and taxes (less ~$1k) then you had to give them $3500 on top of that. So in fact you lost more money than the "savings" they gave you. I mean I pay less per month for my '23 F150 Raptor that I bought. @@TundraDude34 so u pay $30,596 over 3 years and gave them your old truck, and 3 years from now pay another $45,174 to keep it. Am I missing something or is that way over MSRP of the truck?

I am glad you got the truck you wanted but for the average working guy. We can’t afford a $849 payment. and only 10,000 miles a year. Vehicles are just too high nowadays and lose to much value so quickly. Would love to have one myself but can’t afford that kind of payment Guess I will be buying used 10 year old vehicles. Enjoy your new truck. PS : I don’t see how the dealers are able to sale them at those prices. I bet a lot of people have them repossessed because they can’t make the payment. My house payment isn’t that much.
I hear you loud and clear. This is one of the high trims. You can get SR5 and Limited for way lower than this. Also, toyota always attaches incentive terms to limited and sr5 to help folks save. You don’t see that much on the high end stuff.
Maybe you could get a part-time job to help offset some of the cost? I love the 1794 too and would say that is my favorite trim. I am glad that the price went down on the new 1794. However, I paid less for my fully loaded 2020 Chevy 3500 LTZ 4WD / AWD 6.6L gasser. I am not sure how much you can write off for business taxes, a topic for a future video. At this point I probably would keep this 1794 and buy at the residual value especially if you go over the 10K mileage per year. 10K mileage per year is not much. You wanna move? Much cheaper in SC. You could get a much bigger house, but make sure no HOA.
I appreciate that but you’re over thinking it on my behalf. The channel pays for the truck in revenue from its social media (YT, facebook, instagram etc), the channel is based around the Toyota Tundra so this truck is a write off and business expense. Every time I drive it, its part of a video, present or future.
you can buy them, but you can't order one from the factory. Toyota sends what they want to the dealers and you have to pick from what you can get. So building one on the website is a waste of time, cause you ain't getting one just like you want.
@BR549_o7 not entirely true. Dealers can allocate certain builds to them, depending on what they can get. For instance, say you wanted a particular limited, if the dealer has a limited allocation, you can ask them to configure it to your liking.
The buyout price doesn't make sense to me. The value of the vehicle is $63,326. You'll pay $30,596 over 3 years. Shouldn't the buy out price be around $33k then? How are they quoting it at $45k??? I see 2022 1794's are listing for around $55k. If you plan to drive it for only 3 years, wouldn't buying it for $63k have been better? Then in 2027 you could sell it for around $55k. Would only cost you maybe $8-$10k over the span of 3 years. Unless it's just all about monthly payments or if I'm way off on something here, owning sounds like a lot cheaper deal than leasing it in terms of money spent over the span of 3 years. $30k vs $10k (or so)
@@TundraDude34 makes sense. 👍 Quick request- Could you do a comparison vid on the Tundra vs the last year of the Titan? Some of us still want the v8 from a Japanese company. Thanks.

He said it himself: "this truck is a write off and business expense." This is why almost all UA-camrs lease because they write off the payments from their business taxes.
P.T. Barnum was right, "there's a sucker born every minute". You got rid of your TRD Pro because you wanted a cheaper payment. What changed? Your arguments make no sense especially the price difference between 850 and 1000 dollars per month. You were never satisfied with your extended cab even that day after you bought it. It won't be long until you are dissatisfied with this and just "have to have a Capstone, or I can't live"
Opportunity cost is a real thing. $849/month from age 30-60 in an investment with average returns is almost 2mil! I really hope you love your truck that loses value every time you crack it.
@@TundraDude34 just a thought. Even if you write off 100% of the lease payments you are no where close to if you had invested the money. That’s what I meant by opportunity cost.

Your arguments make no sense especially the price difference between 850 and 1000 dollars per month. You were never satisfied with your extended cab even that day after you bought it. It won't be long until you are dissatisfied with this and just "have to have a Capstone, or I can't live"
Haha, no Capstone. Its pretty simple really. What changed from the Pro days is more money coming in nowadays. No grand scheme, just math
Opportunity cost is a real thing. $849/month from age 30-60 in an investment with average returns is almost 2mil! I really hope you love your truck that loses value every time you crack it.
Business write off. Investing into my dream job 👍🏼
Very stupid analogy.
Thank you
@@RCFTE math wasn’t your favorite subject in school?
@@TundraDude34 just a thought. Even if you write off 100% of the lease payments you are no where close to if you had invested the money. That’s what I meant by opportunity cost.
sorry, but the loss you took for your trade plus plus down payment less first months payment means you have spent well over 1,000.oo per month if you take everything as part of your math. the wise thing you did was to not buy that never ending expense after warranty runs out. my question for you is how to justify this deal in 18 months? thanks for info on deal. you are a nice guy, but not a wise one
Haha, thanks for the kind words. Keep in mind, its all a business write off. 👍🏼
@@TundraDude34 do you agree with the real math or pretend math? i wish you only the best but your love of toyota will fade
@debrapugh1746 well, i’ve been doing the channel for 8 and 1/2 years now, and I still love the Tundra and talking to the viewers about the truck. I can’t predict the future but i’m a positive thinker and don’t dwell on the doom and gloom much. Have a great evening!
@@TundraDude34 thanks, and hope you and your family a safe evening
Not sure why people feel the need to criticize when someone buys a car and whatever amount they pay. Unless he’s asking you to help with the monthly payments?
I think these trucks are so massively overpriced for what they are. I could never spend 70 or 80 k for a v6 pickup truck. Maybe I'm just too old.
Nah i don’t think you’re too old. They are certainly expensive
Living in NJ for 56 yrs { cranford} i can barely afford my property taxes and cost of living and college tuition and you have a 849.00 monthly payment? God bless you i will always put my money into my house and double my money! In NJ there is the rich and the rest of us! If i put 70k into my house i will double that in 5yrs . In other words waste of money unless you can write off your lease!
Hi there. Yes i can write it off, and without knowing my financial status or my mortgage, is it acceptable to cast me off into the darkness? I’m in good shape, i assure you
You need to back up a get a Corolla. Your getting buried in debt
No sir, its a lease and a business write off
🤣
You seem to really love what you do on this channel but keeping it real these are poor financial decisions regarding your future loss of returns on money invested. Leasing is a such a waste of money if we want to be honest. With 44k subs it is hard to believe that your making that much income from this channel to justify these avoidable expensive decisions.
I appreciate your concern but do you think i would do it if i couldn’t afford it? You can think whatever you want but just know, im good. A percentage of money made on the channel is reinvested into the channel. Plus the business write off side of it. There is no grand scheme here, just math lol. But i promise you, all is within the means 👍🏼
@@TundraDude34 I do enjoy your channel and been watching you for a couple of years now. So if your making it work for your family and you great. Best of luck with your channel.
Dude, you got a deal that no dealer will come down to in Tennessee.
No dealer would come down to in NJ either. Had to go to Pennsylvania
