Just got my Boost Cooler kit, w/ the VC-50! Excited. Hahahaa. They sound effects, in the intro!! 😂
Have they addressed the overheating and shutdown issues on hot days? My vc50 failed the 1st time I used it. On a hot day in direct sunlight mounted in a pillar pod in my RX7, the screen locked and it stopped injecting. Did this off and on all day. Called snow and they said it was a known problem as there is so much packed inside the unit. Was offered no refund or exchange or anything. Buyer beware if you live in a hot climate or drive your car in the summer, at least make sure and park in the shade!
Mine failed too due to similar heat issues unfortunately :(

@@bradelliott829 trust me my ground wasnt the issue :) I guess having the AC on 24/7 would solve the issue :) I love the concept of this product but it just didnt work out for me unfortunately
I run mine in Death Valley and Las Vegas, no issues but mine is not in direct sunlight.
So found out how to get a black one guys. Order through nitros express directly and in the notes specify you want black bezel.
Are they all black bezel by now or you can still get old or new styles ?
Thanks for this video. My Tuner didn't go over the Snow Performance Methanol controller with me. I have the stage 2 snow meth kit with the snow controller installed on my car.

Will this work on an AEM kit (pump. solenoid, low fluid level sensor, etc..)? I need to replace the controller and and would love to use this one.
I would think it would be able to operate similarly controlled components but we have not tested this before to confirm.

And I have another question, what dose secondary stage mean? Now I select off the "Power Nozzle"，when can I select "On"? Thank you for answer.
That is to activate a 2nd nozzle via a solenoid. If you are not using it turning it off will work just fine.
When you turn the methanol off, can you still smash on the car without methanol?
That will depend if your tune is methanol reliant or not.
I would contact your tuner to check.

how do i install the 2 wire led and does it connects to the positive wire of the pump to indicate injection
What could cause a gauge flashing ? My boss water meth gauge is always flashing and the tank is full
The sensor might be installed upside down. The arrow on it should be facing down. If that does not solve the issue you might check your connections and grounds on the sensor.

How do you know if one of these gauges is defective? I’ve had my sno-2135-brd for my Focus ST a couple weeks now and I’ve had some really strange issues. The gauge will show way more boost than my car can get, it won’t show boost at all when I turn the system off and it started spraying full on when I just started car which stalled it out and threw a cel
It now keeps blinking yellow saying my tank is empty when it is clearly over half full. What a pain to have to snip all the nice cold solders that the guy installed it with and ship it to you guys to wait for the verdict from snow on if it’s bad or not.
Can’t I get one sent and I’ll send the bad one back
I’ve heard a lot of good things about snow and this gauge and I was really excited but I’m at my wits end and scared to use the system. Hope no one else has these issues.

The one with the electronic sender for boost didn’t sense boost right
Since I’ve figured out my problem and went to the older style vc-50 gauge with a boost hose i haven’t had any issue with boost reference
I’m curious if that’s the same issue you’re having
@@Sonicaceman Mine had a digital boost sensor 3 wire to drive de vc-50.

The original one I had was just all wired and no boost line connection
It used a sender and wires for boost reference and I couldn’t get it to work right
The older style which is what they sent me has less wires and no sender and an actual boost hose that I just tapped into boost off my sound symposer
Haven’t had an issue with boost reference or accuracy since then
The system spraying when it was off and showing it was empty etc was a stuck solenoid due to plastic chips in it from when the installer drilled the tank for the level sensor. He didn’t get all the plastic burs out of the tank and they got stuck in the solenoid keeping it open and not stopping the flow of meth once it came on
@@Sonicaceman are you talking about the solenoid under the hood? Not the float in the tank? The (silver solenoid) you mount inline? Mine is dumping meth all the time

Hello. I need help, a little over 4 months ago I bought a stage 2 kit ... Everything worked fine during this time. Today the controller freezes and does not work. I have read several cases in which they have the same problem of overheating of the vc-50 ... Who can help me ?. Throw the money in the trash?
If you purchased directly through us you could definitely send the controller in with the service and returns form filled out to be tested and see what we can do to help you out.
I just had this happen to me due to the summer heat. This is unfortunately a defect in the product design where it fails due to casual in car heat exposure in the summer. Is there going to be a fix or recall? A replacement is only a temporary fix until the warranty runs out :(
Just ordered this controller to swap out from my aem kit with aem pump , low current and low level sensor, will this be okay?
My controller is not measuring boost nor is the graph showing the bar go across. Just had it installed . I have injection set to on and minimum to 3 and max at 12. Do I have to use the prime button to get it to work ?

Priming is only really necessary when the system is first installed or has run out of fluid at some time. What I like to do is pull the nozzle and put it in a bottle or container of some sort. Then click prime until the fluid starts coming out with no air in the line and finally reinstall it and you should be good to go.
@@snowperformance1 gotcha thanx! really wish the nozzle was easier to remove and clean. Its a real bitch! The shop installed it like a permanent set it and forget it job

If you are using the black VC-50 there is a mode in it to change, If it is a silver silver VC-50 then all you have to do is press left, right, left, right, left, right while it is powering up

I have a question, I see a lot of kits with different labeling and instructions that have changed... I had a SNO-210 supposedly 2.5 it was brand new from an ebay vendor with the front sticker with the disclaimer intact. Do you have versions of kits with the VC-50 that wouldn't come with nozzles? Just to make a cheaper kit if someone already had nozzles or wanted to be specific? Or is it possible I just had a mistake.

What's the difference between the VC-50 and VC-100 in-cabin controller units? I got the VC-50 in my kit coming in the mail, but not sure if I should get the VC-100 instead.
We do not offer the VC-100 anymore
Does water methanol help with emissions on diesels? EGR and DPF. I heard there’s less regens?

the screen on my gage is really dim. i wasnt sure if there is any adnustment or if its a defective unit.?
Unfortunately there isnt a brightness adjustment on them.

Does this need to be tied into a boost guage? I don't have one and my boost is approx 5-6 psi.

They are both active and new parts! Just a slight difference in the look.

Had the snow performance 2.5 kit installed about month yesterday sitting at stop light noticed it was showing 10 lbs of boost and spraying this was at idle , had to turn it off what could cause this ?
Usually, when one of the wires on the boost sensor doesn't have a good connection it will cause that or when the controller itself doesn't have a good ground. I would check both of these and get back to us!
@@snowperformance1 Ok great, taking to shop on Saturday to have them check it since there the ones that installed it.
Will took to shop last Saturday they unplugged battery to reset and unplug and re plugged everything back worked for about 5 days and is going back to showing anywhere from 5-10 lbs of boost at idle and even when car is not running? is there warranty on boost sensor or controller? which do you think it is ? i contacted the shop that installed it they think it's its the boost controller.

How do you setup failsafes using this controller?
The stage 2.5 does not utilize a fail safe.

What does the “P” button do?
P will prime the system by activating the pump for a short time.
Ran mine for a week in a a half and now it will not recognize boost, is that the controller or the adapter that it plugs into. $1200 in on this kit and it doesn’t work now
Less than 2 weeks old, how do I determine if the controller or boost sensor is bad?
All functions work on controller but it will not read boost to inject…, im stumped

The system isn’t referencing boost, there is an electrical sender that came with my kit the sno-brd-2135 I’ll send a picture, gauge and all features work and I tested pump and everything works except boost on gauge. I removed boost sender unit and took my air hose and tested it snd it’s not registering any boost on the gauge.

I sent back vc-50 controller and the pressure sensor and they just sent back a new sensor. Needless to say that didn’t fix the problem and I’m sending back both again
Pretty sure my controller which is the newer black bezel one is the issue
Hope you figure your problem out but it’s been a nightmare since I got this kit
If it worked right I would love it
Worst part is if I get it working I don’t know how much I’m going to trust it

Just not a fan of paying to send a defective item back that is under warranty for them to check instead of them giving return labels snd just sending new ones out
Fortunately they sent me a return label this second time for me to send them the same items….
@@Sonicaceman yeah hope you get it figured out, I ended up running my boost line into the intake coupling and works fine. So I have opposite sides meth line and boost line.
