The way the producers transitioned from scene to scene and perfectly put "Sober" by Kelly Clarkson to it was just a brilliant piece of production tv history. I've always wished that Laura Vandervoort would have gotten her own Supergirl tv show by the way.
Smallville still lives in my heart this many years later. I miss it so bad, I go back and watch it whenever possible. This song hold so many memories at that time and later in life. Truly the nest song for this moment and this here will always be special to me and the Smallville series. ☺

Clark & Lana’s relationship was so magical and powerful in this series. Now rewatching it again after all these years, it’s truly a testament to the show’s writing and Clark/Lana chemistry. Even after all the BS (Lana getting with Lex), C/L still have love for each other. I never liked the storyline of Lois becoming Clark’s love interest. The show became so painful to watch starting in Szn 5 for me... But I stuck around for Tom Welling lol
Yeah. You pretty much voiced my mind. I was such a loyal fan of Clark and Lana. I was always rooting for them to get back together. Tom Wellings made me stay with the show till the end. Smallville indeed leaves fond memories.

It's ironic that one of the best Smallville montages ever happened to introduce the worst season of the show. I actually enjoy this montage more than all of S7. LOL
He loved her because she loved Clark and he wanted to own everything from Clark's life. In fact that is one of the best things developed in the series. From season one when Lex sees Clark as a friend, even with that feeling he is witness of multiple moments of Clark being sorrounded by his parents, friends and love interest, every time they faced traumatic episodes. That's what Lex never had. You can see how that hurts him inside season by season no matter how he tried to hide it. Lex has no real feelings since his mother died. And by the end of season six while he´s engaged with Lana he did the most horrible thing to Lana, faking her pregnancy with hormones just to keep her in his side... Thats no love, its just obsession and fear to be alone.
