i'm a 33 year old man. I first heard this song when i was about 19 or so. I tear up every single time i hear it. when i was 16 my best friend was my neighbor. he was 53. He was very popular in the neighbor hood. he was a wood worker. had a huge garden. he grew the biggest pumpkins i had ever seen. A few friends and i spent a lot of time with him. me more then others. i had issues at home which i was constantly running from. he was always there for me. he helped me keep my grades up. he helped me with my hobbies at the time. he helped me in more ways then i could comprehend at 16. one day i came home from the movies with a girlfriend. My mom told me he had passed. i ran down the street immediatly, to find flowers and candles covering his front step. a coroners note sealing the front door. I was absolutely devistated. i had 2 deaths in my life at that time that hurt that bad. my uncle and my grandpa. I was told he was found slumped over his computer. his heart had failed. and the reason being was "his heart was too big" or so i was told. i don't know how true that is. and to this day i don't know. all i know it fits perfectly. he was the nicest person i have ever met. my time knowing him was short. only a few years. but i will never forget him. this song, in every way, reminds me of him, and it always will.
