The tas back dashing is so cool. It looks like they forgot to animate Alucard walking while simultaneously giving him fuckibg speed lines. it's like he's constantly teleport an inch behind himself. Fuck this shit I'm out style. And oh my God the giggling from the shop keep after creating infinite money and just leaving it on the counter and taking the entire shop home is Hilarious.
yes. i'm pretty sure that as long as you don't touch the ground in that room, the cutscene never triggers, so by being sent flying through the room by an enemy in the room before it, alucard enters the next loading zone without touching the ground, skipping the cutscene and keeping his original gear.
There are other ways to trigger that effect. One I've seen speedrunners do is use the Neutron Bomb or whatever you can start the game with to trigger a level up at just the right positioning so that as soon as you enter that room, the game automatically forces you to the next room. You see the TAS do something similar at 3:15 or so. I don't quite get how it works.
They way I have gone about accomplishing this was to use the max luck cheat and then you take a hit and fly through the room. You do keep the Alucard gear for skipping the cutscene.
Death Skip, as it’s called. There’s a few ways. One is via Big Toss, where Alucard receives a high enough damage (based on your weak defense) that tosses you at a high velocity. The Big Toss’ velocity is fast enough to where you go to the room where Death triggers, but control of Alucard cannot be used because he was still in a “tossed state”. The bonk on the ceiling stops the velocity, but Alucard safely makes it into the next room. Another way is called Reverse Shift Line: by doing a big animation at the right pixel (ex. Heart Refresh, Neutron Bomb, or Level Up), you can alter the X or Y coordinantes of Alucard to where he can skip an entire block/room of the map. In this case, the nearest room to his right was where Death takes your stuff. This is very technical information, but the person who would know far more than anyone would be DragonBlitz on Twitch, multiple WR holder of SotN in various categories (minus data corruption, which is a dumb category). I have a question I know is crazy but somebody has to ask it: what would happen if somehow somebody succeeds in making Alucard sit in the reverted chapel's confessional room?
From a technical standpoint I don’t think you could do it without heavily modifying that room, and even then you’d have to flip the sprites for what happens From a “what if they programmed it in?” standpoint, anything could happen I guess. Maybe they’d heal you instead of stabbing (I don’t know everything about SotN, I don’t know why they stab me when I play)
I just realized that Alucard's voice sounds a lot like Lumpy's voice from Happy Tree Friends I didn't knowed of that Alucard ripped off Lumpy from Happy Tree Friends. Also Richter's and Flippy's voices sound very similar, Talking Seri0US💉.

You should add an Infocard at each visual glitch to explain when the multiple visual glitches are expected (marking which ones had been on purpose, and which one was comparable to 2:48 timestamp), this could increase your Like percentage.

Timecards are not needed, this is a TAS, you should know about runs in general if you want to get into TAS. This is not educational for the general public, it's mostly the best resource to stablish human and non human limits to a run.

It's a trick that's not tas only, human speedrunners use it. If you played super metroid it's a trick similarly used in super metroid. It's a damage boost

I’m trying to hit level 99, and also trying to get muramasa to like at least 300 damage to copy into a new game. Time consuming though, I haven’t. Played in about two months.
